So what's the deal with this? Meme round or does it serve a purpose. I only want answers from nogunz gays that have never shot a 5.7 please.

It's an ebin (supposedly) armor piercing cartridge that fits in pistols
So is tokarev and unlike
it didn’t fail FBI penetration tests
Why can’t it beat a century old gun?
Because the powder they harvest is Russia explodes better due to the shape of it's atoms. The bullets go much faster and penetrate better even though they are not as pointy.
>meme round
Looks cool as frick though. Admit it.
bottleneck pistol cartridges have existed for over a century anon
I guess my post was vague. It's not a meme round because it is adopted by armed forces.
its fast and they look like tiny little 5.56
I have no reason to own a 5-7 but I they are really cool
nothing else but novelty, there's no reason to use anything but 9mm in a handgun
Honestly, I don't see it having any practical purpose besides penetrating soft body armor and medium game hunting. And I don't see WHY you would choose this gun for hunting when you could choose a PCC or rifle and it would be much more affective. It's not a very practical self defense gun, either, seeing as how the round is specifically designed for penetration. Granted, it will kill an attacker just like any other firearm, but what's the point when you can have a .45 ACP or 10mm that will be much more affective at stopping someone? It was designed for a very niche purpose and not really serve any practical purpose in western countries. No attacker is going to be wearing body armor, and if they are, at that rate just get a cheap 7.62x25 tokarev and call it a day. You'd be saving yourself the money that you'd waste on these expensive as frick rounds, and you wouldn't feel bad about trashing it like you would this gun.
TL;DR
Gun is for larpers and does not serve a practical purpose, but it works and I'm not gonna shit on anyone for liking it.
>7.62x25 tokarev
I don't know much about pistols but that round is very low velocity . would it AP?
So people say
Compared to 45 and 10mm, some would argue being able to laser bullets into a 1/2" circle on a target because there's frick all for recoil is nice.
I shoot circles around my BLOCK 20 w/ RMR and laser with my stock five seven with irons.
I do feel like my dick has an additional 5 inches when I shoot 10mm though
>medium game hunting
With a fricking 5.7?
Are you crazy? What game are you considering "medium"?
I get it's use in SF roles, but I wouldn't take shots at anything larger than a coyote with a 5.7mm.
Unless you think a coyote is medium game?
Is it not enough that you can carry 23+1 in a meme cyberpunk looking gun?
I don't have a holster yet but I'm betting it's hard to conceal. Another + is it weighs nothing fully loaded. For context, my P365XL weighs more loaded up with 17 round mag.
I don't conceal mine unless I'm keeping it in a bag for work, but I live in a state with open carry and I like having almost 30 rounds on tap before reloading. But people do CC all kinds of full-size handguns, so I'm sure it's possible depending on your body type and outfit.
It's a good round, but with limited applications. Being highly velocity dependent, it really wants every inch of barrel it can get if you care about terminal ballistics. This limits its viability for concealed carry in my opinion, but I'm sure people could pour out of the woodwork about their appendix carried AR-15, so YMMV. It's also a fairly long round, which affects grip size and may displease handlets. In all other aspects, it's a fantastic round though. Really light recoil, great penetration. It's probably the best extant round for open carry or duty use.
Asking about a specific round
>I only want answers from nogunz gays that have never shot a 5.7 please
Whats answers and feed back from those who don't have experience with it?
anon. are you really this autistic?
>over your head and into another fricking area code my guy
.22 Hornet on meth, the shit that cops/militaries can get are the good stuff, civilians are basically cucked from the main purpose of why that round was even made.
fort hood shooting
>I only want answers from nogunz gays that have never shot a 5.7 please.
"If I would get a gun I'd get a 5.7. It's a handgun that shoots an AR15 round."
-actual nogunz gay that has never shot anything opinion I actually heard someone blurt out once
>PSA
BELEEUUGGGH a poorgay.
Shot placement and penetration are the 2 most important factors in handgun cartridges. Assuming you can meet those factors with smaller calibers such as 5.7, a benefit can be gained in reduced weight per cartridge and increased maximum capacity.
I am hasguns but never shot a 5 7, is that good enough?
I shot a P90 at Impact Guns in 2011. P90s are fun.
