So how much exactly does this thing cost?

It's impossible to find a source on how much a Namer actually costs. The best you can find is some moronic shilling article claiming it costs $3 millons but a 2013 CBO report put the price at around $11 millions. With inflation, hard-kill protection system and all the shit they added on it it must certainly be even higher...

Between 10 and 15m each seems reasonable considering all the shit they put on it.

literally no israelite has said that ever

the namer costs as much as it humanly can, without being un-selected for whatever role it fills

it costs the most it can.

They make them out of old model existing Merks so the cost is based on that. That makes it tricky to come up with a real cost.

its not a commercial product so it doesnt really matter as it's made by mamtak which is a government org
maybe the components from private companies cost 3 mil $ but the total unit cost of the thing is many many times that if i go by experience about government shit

merkava based mod vehicles are a different thing, dont look like namer at all.
namer's are purpose made on their own chassis

here's one of them, there are several variants and this has nothing to do with the namer program

Why is it called Namer? Does it go around taking names?

        backronym, means 'tiger'

What the frick, why? The israelites have always prided themselves on their domestic military industries, why outsource that of all things?

No, the Namer is based on the Mk. IV and are all new production, not conversions. They make other vehicles out of the older hulls.

Much like with all military procurment it all depends on how much bling you want, how many you order and what support you include.

Never seen one of them with a RWS before, looks pretty kino.
Like the other anon said, some of them are made from recycled hulls (i think they also used purpose built hulls) so, odds are not even the IDF can give you an accurate namer

That's because of how they upgrade the platform and how regular those updates are. The frequency and complexity of that makes your question almost pointless.

"How much does a Namer cost?"
    "Haha, yeah man"
