If I did something, why would I ask this on /k/. much less pose it as a moral dilemma rather than request help in getting out of it? You need to get rid of the evidence. Light him on fire and then shoot him. Try to do this away from any lakes or other bodies of water.
If I got court martialed for that then at least I could sleep well knowing I was 110% in the right and put a close friend out of their misery. Burns are no fricking joke.
