Should I go and look for him, bros? I live around the area and know it like the palm of my hands. Do SAR offer any sort of monetary rewards for finding these people?

he's already dead
You get first dibs on his gear when you find his corpse
Off topic, but why isn’t theft from bodies more common place? Where are the best locations for lootmaxxing? I know Everest is great for dead bodies but how about locations in NA? I might need to start a thread about this, it’s been on my mind for a couple years.
Probably because it’s illegal and a felony
No one cares
you clearly do since you didn't do it
then why don't you try grave robbing for a bit if you truly think nobody cares, you dumb frick?
Not if you call it archeology.
That would mean (assuming going alone) you would have to bring all your own equipment to go on a search for a corpse out in the middle of nowhere 40 miles into the wood, then assuming you do find him, you either leave your own stuff for his or you also contribute to the missing persons tally for some persons cabellas hiking boots and a 40$ steel water canteen. Personally robbing the local gas station seems more reasonable at that point.
Why would you steal from the body? That's so much effort. Just wait until the police/family is offering a reward for any information and give them the location of the body for the $20,000.
>know it like the palm of my hands
go for it! would be hilarious "local internet weirdo finds missing hiker!"
More like "local internet weirdo also goes missing while looking for missing hiker!"
"local internet weirdo arrested for suspected homicide after claiming to have found missing hiker"
>July 2nd
He's already dead, OP. Omae wa mou shindeiru and all that.
a teenage girl survived 3 days alone and lost in the mountains here in canada before walking out of the bush unscathed just a week or two ago. im legit super impressed with her tenacity and survivalist mentality
>3 days
>survivalist mentality
That'd better be a sad leaf joke
Everything Canadians say is a sad leaf joke. I disregard 99% of their stuff.
She single?
hey, worst comes to worst, you can get a free skull
Freddie Mercury?
You should join the official search effort if they are accepting civilian volunteers. You could save a human life which is a big benefit to him and dozens or hundreds of other people.
If that was 11 days ago, the dude is probably dead as frick. I wouldn't recommend going on any kind of solo trip to find him, very likely get lost and die yourself even if you are very familiar with the area. If you really want to help you should probably do what
suggested and try to join up with the actual search effort
>I wouldn't recommend going on any kind of solo trip to find him, very likely get lost and die yourself even if you are very familiar with the area.
Dumbest shit I've read on PrepHole all week and this weeks been a doozy
NTA but if you think it's dumb to assume people on here won't get lost and die if they try actual PrepHole then you haven't been lurking long enough
Fortunately no one is going to try actual PrepHole.
Can you get in trouble if you find a struggling hiker and leave him to die in the wild?
Only if he survives.
Basically this
, there are good samaritan laws for that reason
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depraved-heart_murder
That's doing an action that negligently leads to the death of another, like reckless driving. Driving by a homeless guy is not legally culpable.
how do you go missing hiking with a group?
You all drop acid and then ????
See:
Which brings up the question of how someone can screw up washing their face so badly they fall into a fast flowing river.
Could be his pack shifted unexpectedly, or it could be that he was on drugs or drunk.
Be careful PrepHole there, frens.
When I was hiking with some pals recently, I fricked up one of my gaiters when I went off trail for a second to see something, shouted after them to wait for me while I fixed it, they seemed to hear, waited ... but then just kept on going after a few seconds. I could have really used a hand or some cordage, which I didn't bring because we left camp quickly for an unexpected hike and would return later that day.
Anyways, frickers left me, when i was clearly kneeling down and struggling with something, right before a fork in the road. If I had been literally 1 second slower, I would not have caught the last possible glimpse of one of them down the trail, and would not have known which fork they took.
Do not leave a man behind, help your bros.
your pals dont sound like pals bro. just hike alone. ffs other humans cant be trusted the majority of the time these days.
Never go hiking with pals, only buddy's and above.
They dont like you.
You will never be respected by them. Burn that fricking bridge and make some new friends
>Last seen washing his face and hands in the water before he was swept away by the current
He's absolutely dead.
Pretty significant detail
Madera or Mariposa County?
Track him down and sell him some emergancy supplies bro
I'm sure he'd pay festival prices for a snickers right now, and then you can post a selfie on your socials showing what a great person you are.
The guy is probably dead unfortunately. This was bound to happen due to the heavy winter and the guy was swept up by the fast moving river.
https://www.paypal.me/thekz676 one dolar for the hell or dye alone whitout reward
Imagine going to the desert in the middle of summer and dying by drowning of all things
Yosemite isn't a desert
To east coast larpers that's all they know.
Low level loot loot but go for it.
my experience is that guys with white framed sunnies are always wankers who you want to punch 7 shades of shit through.
Theres no reason to search at this point. It was obviously a 6 dimensional time traveling samsquantch that got him and theres no bringing him back
Fresno nightcrawler already got him
>-ayden name
Zzoommmm
he has officer farva energy i would give his corpse a gay blowjob if i found him
