should I get the 6x zoom or the 10x zoom model? 10x will not be utilized often at all, but would be nice for observing.

If you're actually hunting then please get any other scope.
If you are just larping with an AR or shooting at the range, or if you are preparing for "the boog" or whatever reddit shit that needs an AR LPVO then you need something with a 1x setting, unless you have a red dot at an angle or mounted piggyback

Just dont get the sig options unless they're on sale.

i am kind of preparing for the boog, not larping, but i do like cool looking guns. the main reason for this one is the price is low and it performs just fine

Sig bad even by chinkshit standards

but the price is wrong, i'm not expecting the sig to perform like a 1200+ dollar optic. in what ways is the viper that much better? not being facetious, i really wanna know what the difference is.

American SIG is SIG in name only. They take made-in-China crap and slap a Sig logo on it and sell it at "bargain" prices to idiots who don't know any better. Literally anything else is usually better than SIG. Just save money for another month or so and buy a Viper PST or a Primary Arms optic or just about anything reputable that does not say SIG on it.

That or learn your lesson the hard way and go for it.

but they're all fricking china, what's the difference, you're only saying sig = china

Viper has better glass, durability and warranty if you manage to break it

lol, what do you recommend then anon? for a similar pricepoint

$1200 is very reasonable for a nice riflescope and is not anywhere near the diminishing returns level.

        >not larping
        >preparing for the eventual collapse of society or a drastic shift in standard of living
        >still worried about saving money, which will be worthless, and would rather buy something cheap, which would also be worthless
        >not larping

max out your credit cards buying ammo and optics and just dont pay them back. You're larping otherwise.

it's about hedging your bets, there's a low chance that shit goes south but if it does you need to be ready because by the time you can be sure it'll be too late
so you need to get ready for shit to go south without compromising your ability to function in a society that hasn't had the floor drop out
