Just make it less accessible and the issue works itself out. Remove bridges, close down trail heads, stop maintenance and so on.

National Parks should absolutely deny entry to foreigners. Why should citizens be denied entry due to a lottery system or limited visitor number if a non-citizen is eligible? It makes no sense, as those parks belong to the citizens.

Speaking of closing off the woods, I posted maybe two years ago about a small trail in SW Mississippi in Homochitto NF that was closed due to storm damage. It’s now been closed for maybe 4 or 5 years. The situation is very confusing; it’s a national forest and not a national park, so off-trail hiking is allowed. As such, how can a trail be closed? I spent a shit ton of money in the US so I could go visit some national and state parks, and during an off peak season. Both to governments and to private person. One of my friend even pay taxes in the US. That's how you plan to correct your trade deficit ?

Also the mission of National Parks is to preserve for everyone, not only fat USian

It’s weird, the back country spots I hike in, the more accessible, or nearer to atv/dirt bike accessible trails, the more trash and litter I see. It’s super eerie.

Also weird, was out hiking yesterday, and on this old logging road I see some dumped a metal swinging chair (the type with a canopy..) so they had to drive past the actual dump, 10 miles out into the woods, up an old logging road, just to shit the place up to save like $10 on what the dump would have charged for disposal.

What is that pathology and why is summary execution the best punishment ?

It was conquered through warfare. Warfare is a legitimate way to acquire territory. The victors of any given day win the right to the land they have conquered. The story of the American Indian is in many ways tragic, but that doesn't mean that the current civilization on the NA continent is illegitimate. How would we go about correcting the world if all warfare and battles that resulted in conquering land was to be reversed?

Of course it is legitimate. It is just another example of development in which a newer and stronger power erased the old and decrepit.

Indians weren't in the 400,000,000 spread across the entire continent evenly lol. Most of that land was completely empty and devoid of Indians as well. And the Indians would kill each other in horribly violent ways to assert dominance over hunting land rights. But we came and won against ALL OF THEM. You think those Indians would have let you hike their land? Lol kek. You'd get scalped. Hell even today if you go into their reservation they'll draw guns on your face and hog tie you and hand you to a sherrif

He stated that they had given the emissaries food, and as Trent wrote, “Out of our regard to them we gave them 2 Blankets and an (sic) Handkerchief out of the Small pox (sic) Hospital. I hope it will have the desired effect.”

The Ottawa Tribe suffered an outbreak after receiving a gift from the French in Montreal with the injunction not to open the box until they arrived at home. The box contained only other boxes and “mouldy particles.”

you have to book hikes on the popular trails up to 6 months in advance because of the sheer number of chinese tourists coming here.
then when they're in town staying in their $600/night hotels they walk around random residential streets "accidentally" taking photos of infrastructure/construction sites and collecting soil samples to take home.

It just doesn’t make sense.

unironically based, as someone who almost exclusively camps pretty far off-trail and follows a policy of "leave just enough of a trace to return to the same spot maybe a few times a year max (small fire pit of rocks at most, or no trace if not intending to return within a year)"

though at the same time, maybe it's better if normies are confined to designated recreation zones. the main detriment out the outdoors, is watching less experienced versions of myself attempt to cope by cooking over fires, clearing the ground, not digging ideal shit holes, etc. for most people, i imagine a permanent shelter with firewood that you can buy and then drive up to a "camp site" is an ideal containment zone

        Anonymous

National Parks do it pretty well; most have strict rules regarding designated sites and permits/reservations. A place like GSMNP would be totally trashed if it wasn’t for those rules. And it works well.

But something like a wilderness area or a national forest can’t enforce them. The Sipsey Wilderness is absolutely littered with fire pits and random campsites along the southern portion, which is closest to the trailheads (and the better scenery). A good solution is to close some trailheads.

          Anonymous

yeah prolly, like if i went off-trail and found someone else's firepit, it'd just use that. dunno if i ever used a nat'l park outside like the AT permanent shelters, def used state parks sensibly before. a few rocks encircled in a convenient place isn't nearly as bad as "leave no trace" autists believe. but leaving the least trace possible is always best. with those who lack the concept entirely, throw em in a cuck pen with a portapotty and firewood at $5/bundle

It brings me no pleasure to say this (well maybe just a little) but people who have been singing the praises of "public" land are going to be in for a very rude and infuriating awakening in the next decade or so.

The people in charge hate you, and actively get off on treating you like a peasant. The idea that you (predominantly white people) enjoy spending time on millions of acres of government land is problematic for them and they WILL reign it in.

Although the idea of home owners allowing a stranger that can't speak English to live in our homes has been suggested publicly by certain politicians. I say put them on government land. We don't need anymore tent cities in the developed areas in this country and I'm not giving up my place to live. If politicians want so much control over land then let them keep it functional. And now that I am completely off the topic of this thread I'll admit I'm a terrible mood and ranting about nothing LMAO.

Because most of us US citizens have very little say over what the government actually does in any meaningful, proactive, or logical scenes. It's not a matter of "should this be changed" it is a matter of "you will comply". Resistance is pointless. Had to take a sociology class years ago. One of the first points made in that class was that people will give up a large amount of freedom for security. It would seem to me that the next step would be to give up any real purposeful existence for a cucked existence rooted in effortless instant gratification. So if the man says they need to bring in bus loads of two legged problems then that's the new logic. Or maybe I just need to lighten up a bit.

Large swathes of land should be reserved for wildlands, I dare say 50% because I concede, the rest for agriculture and the tiniest bit for human habitation. Out of these wildlands these should be accesible, free roaming with registration laws should be set and up to 10% in key areas should be restricted, but still visitable under supervision.

Yeah really we just need to keep city people from traveling outside their smog zones. I mean that's the real problem isn't it? No park access for all city dwellers.

I also think we need a policy where all cars are outlawed for city people because of their smog problem and the fact they live in anthills where they don't need them anyways. All city people cars should be confiscated and scrapped- the funds therefrom should be used to purchase each rural moron a new HD truck, atv, skid steer, and bass boat... because they need these things and since they do actual work (not useless marketing depts like cities) we need to subsidize them more.

I would also support a policy of outlawing heterosex relations for city dwellers, and mandatory homosex relations for all city people... to make sure the populations do not expand (they are already over populated trash heaps of consoomer people with pointless overpaid jobs). On the flip side we need to subsidize the growth of the rural moron population because they do actual work that everyone relies on. Which is why I suggest a policy whereby every attractive big breasted white city woman between the ages 18-28 would be drafted up for a term of at least one year and be assigned to each productive rural household in order to bear at least one child to said household.

Also outlaw red meat for all city people so it can be saved more and made cheaper for rural morons. City people should have mandatory bug diet to save red meat. You don't need red meat sitting in an office PR job but you need high quality meats and hearty foods for actual work like rural morons do.

No, it's our land, our country, and we should be able to access it.
Just stop all immigration and deport the immigrations and every single problem ever goes away, including everything in politics, economics, and ecological/conservation issues.

The solution is simple. One Trump takes power (trust the plan), he will staff the government 100% with men loyal to himself, march every leftist to gitmo and expel every 3rdoid who came here after 1965. Africans will be given Haiti, which will be conquered within 24 hours of invasion.
Tens of millions will be removed and nature will breathe again. He will also personally drone strike people who litter, etc. Trust in Him.

Any time you see a lefty promoting restriction to a right, privilege, or social good, it's solely so they can either gatekeep it for politically reliable factions or ruthlessly exploit it for profit.

Also these rules would apply only to citizens and especially founding populations of a nation. Foreigners would be free to fish, hunt, forage, and log it dead.
