well then I'm pretty sure you are going to be sliding down on your butt
there actually weren't a lot of prickers/thorns here relative to other areas, but I didn't go off trail at all
Cut it down. It annoys the shit out of me when people use trees as sign posts--especially when they band the tree in the process.
well then people are probably gonna get injured, as far as I can tell its about half a mile down to parking and 600 ft down, so maybe 30-40% grade
...JFC is this surrounded by old folks homes and preschools? I live in the PNW and the only trail closures I see are limited restrictions to idiot bikers and even bigger idiot pet owners never full closures due to "safety"
America is New England, Florida and California. Nothing else matters in any way, shape or form. Anyone imagining otherwise is probably a massive homosexual and semi-moronic to boot.
My policy is if they don't bother to tell me what it's closed for, I go around the sign. There's a trail at a park near me that's been closed for about two years, no reason given. They even replaced the sign with a new one, which also doesn't explain. I enjoy taking that trail because there's no one else on it.
when I went to canyonlands there was this rope over a clear trail that said not a trail and I went down it and basically ended up off trail walking along cliffsides and gigantic boulder outcroppings all by myself and It was probably one of the coolest things I did out there. >pic related. i went out to the far rocks in the middle right
National Parks in a nutshell. Only really cool once you break the rules and get off the normie trails.
I know why they do it (the hordes of people that flood it every year would ruin the place if left to their own devices) but it's still gay enough to make me not want to bother jumping through the hoops to go there. And I get in for free.
The first thing I would do is take a picture and post a pointless thread on boards dot PrepHole dot org slash out slash then after that maybe I would get in an argument with anonymous strangers about something inane
Go around because I can't read

I mean, I didn't do the closed trail, but I reckon it's at least 50% scrambling. Too bad they can't put in nice stone or wooden steps instead.
>East cost problems
This is why everyone west of the Mississippi shits on east coaster.
You'd die on the trails I consider day hikes.

New England + New York.
Cope, the most rugged trails in the country are in
That guy you responded to does sound like a giant pussy though
I wonder if this has ever succesfully been used as a legal defense for something

the sign and your thread are baits, baits for the moronic
Bump
Only moronic urban pavement apes keep stickers on hats and wear it straight brimmed, bend that shit and go off trail.
Get ready for some sweet solitude beyond that sign

That's a shitty policy and you're moronic. Hope the rangers cite you.
cite you for what? using a trail that is "closed" for no reason? How are they going to claim anything specific when that specific reason isn't posted?
Tbh if you were in California that would definitely be possible.
>stop right there criminal scum!
>how dare you WALK on public land
have a nice day
Just tell them you came from the other direction.
here's the other direction
or just say sorry i got lost off trail a bit and this is the first place i found back on the trail

See this all the time nearby due to storms ravaging the trails and knocking trees over. Just makes them more fun having to climb over and under trees.

I enjoy doing closed trails, it makes it more exciting, like a stealth mission. I become more aware of my surroundings too
there should be yellow or pink flags on that cable. this is dangerous to horses, cyclists, runners, etc. very irresponsible.
OP what you do is come back with some bright flags and make that cable safe.

don't be haughty anon, you're here too.
Not an excuse.
turn around, wthat's what you are supposed to do as a rule-based level leaded reasonabme member of such a lovely intermediate middle class community
What do you say, anons? Should I see what's beyond the sign?
