Say that I want to build a big, shiny, regulation spec 32 inch/82 cm roulette. How costly would that be?

Say that I want to build a big, shiny, regulation spec 32 inch/82 cm roulette. How costly would that be? I can get my hands on the aluminium part of the rotor that has the colored numbers, but not much else. i would need to build the wooden housing, polish it, install the diamonds and get a properly aligned bearing

Since all you told us was that you can get a piece of aluminum, I'd have to say about tree fiddy.

    >at least it's on-topic, whether troll bait or not.

Your question is actually quite complex, like the table. Material prices depend very much on location and situation/personal connections. What you are really asking for requires a DETAILED ESTIMATE so only you can do that for your desired materials, location, available tools etc.

Your question is too specific and detailed for a useful answer on this board. Your choice of construction is relevant since that can vary from shitbox to high end furniture. If you really want the thing, start building. It's only money.

You DID search "home built roulette wheel" before asking to be spoonfed, RIGHT? Go do that since some things require actual study.

could not find any guide on the googles, not that I need it necesarily.

Does it need to pass inspection by a 3rd party?

no, I just want the thing to spin properly like in a real casino.

doesnt have to be detailed or anything, but you could guesstimate it. either way the reason I bother asking anything on this board is because usually there is at least another autist who has completed what I'm trying to build, but with this one I can see that nobody took the time to build this useless piece of a rotating money burner

I hate gays on diy boards that say you can't do it yourself, but this is one of those things that if you have to ask you aren't going to pull it off without years if perseverance.
You need to become a machinist and master carpenter to build that pic.

Make a lathe out of your car, jack it up, bolt a stump where the wheel is supposed to be, and use an angle grinder with a chainsaw disc and finish it off with sandpaper flapwheels.
If you ever use this for actual gambling the other person is probably entitled to shoot you, godspeed

no I would use for fun times. like I said the round rotor I can get my hands on, the wooden housing would be more complicated but I can see how I would do that as well, I was just asking because usually I have very needlessly complex ideas and there's always somebody online that does in a simpler easier way that me.

                I'm not saying dont ask

                Pic related.
I can't find the video in 15 seconds and I don't care to look more, basically drunk Russians hacked a car up, bolted a stump to it, threw the car in drive, and turned the stump with it like a lathe

I typed 4 captchas to post this

I dont think I need a lathe, I have a perfectly good router that I can anchor in the would be center of the wheel, but a lathe setup like that would come be useful actually

It is, I don't remember what they were doing, I think they made a bowl.
It was a front wheel drive shitbox, just too the wheel of a stuck a stump to it.
I'm sure it's not good for the bearings, but what is

there are easier ways of improvising a lathe, or so I've seen online. those russians were doing it for fun most likely, or maybe they genuinely didnt have any money left and had to use their shitbox

Buy an appropriately sized television, mount it in a table, and hook a sbc or whatever you got to it and run a nice looking roulette sim on it.

Could also mount a touch screen panel if you know what you're doing/find appropriate software.
