Look at it for an hour and make a plan.

Then tell client I will be leaving because labour laws do not allow >10 hour shifts unless in exceptional circumstances and this isn’t one. Enjoy my mandatory 11-hour rest between shifts, do some sports, cook a nice meal, relax a bit, enjoy a good night sleep. Have breakfast and an espresso. Pack the dymo, an extra bag of tie rips and something to replace those awful wire nuts. Drive to client. Start working on it in the morning: well rested and without frustration.

It’s a voltage monitor. That photo looks like what the vendor says it should look like. I would pull all of that shit out and throw it away. Or leave it if the customer wants to monitor power consumption.

That is a current and voltage monitoring device. It is commonly used by those with solar power systems, or by those concerned about monitoring the cost of energy usage. It can also be useful for monitoring voltage anomalies where sensitive electronic equipment may be damaged, but it can only provide that data after it has already occurred. While it looks messy in the picture, that does not mean there is anything wrong with it. Close it up making sure to use all of the factory panel cover screws, and go on with your life.

I'm convinced that shit is a meme designed to scam morons out of their money. I'd like to know which household electronics they think are going to put a serious dent in their utility bill. Just pay $50 for that cheapo klein meter with the amp clamp and do some math every 6 months.
