Is this meme good for spider and flies that are flying

tarantula probably not, small spiders sure, and if your aim is good yes flyie flies

Flying flies is fun, it's a hard as frick lead to learn. You have to be within about 8" or so to get good energy and spread, especially if you're using something large grain like kosher salt. Wasps are game as well, you better be sure on your aim because the first shot stuns and it takes a few hits to kill. If the flies are landed on a hard surface, you can hit the surface ahead of them to kneecap the bastards like you're shooting buckshot for crowd control.

        Interesting
Is finer salt recommended generally, or does it depend on the bug

You want table salt, I don't think it would feed kosher, sea salt, definitely won't feed rock salt.

the best thing for flying bugs is a spray bottle. you can fill it with soapy water or I hear rubbing alcohol works well. it doesn't kill them but it fricks up their wings so they fall out of the sky making it easy to swat them. you also don't have to worry about cleaning up salt all over the place.

        >soapy water
This. I live in the tropics, and in midsummer (like now) I have problems with giant fricking roaches slipping through my balcony door into my kitchen. I tried dousing them with bleach to kill them and they just laughed it off and then attacked me. Throwing a few ounces of water with a squirt of dish soap mixed in was nearly instant fricking death to them. Like, they'd splash around in it for a few seconds, then go into spasms and die. Easy to clean up, too, since that's what soap is designed for.

Alcohol (maybe just isopropyl) should work well also, but soapy water is good enough for my needs.

imagine being able to survive nuclear annihilation, but dying if you get sprayed with soapy water
          Pathetic

Even the big house spiders can be hard to kill with it.
      Me to my GF
      >man I killed a big spider in the garage
      How big
      >well it took 4 shots from the salt gun
It's fun to shoot snails and slugs with though.

just as an FYI for other salt gun lovers, this thing beats the frick out of the bug a salt. Add on to a crosman 2240. Bit sloppy on the salt portioning and it runs out and you can't tell until you fire with an empty salt chamber, but it blasts the FRICK out of shit.
I'll take wasps with this I wouldn't try with a bugasalt.
