Bail out, kill any enemy they find, entrench or inhabit enemy trenches. Conscripts aren't trusted to advance very far or do very much, but rushing to and holding a position is viable.

You can't break through with just light/motorized infantry unless the other side has only light/motorized infantry or you create a hole so fricking insanely wide/destroy enemy forces so completely that it's not possible to stop your advance. The Soviets did it by dumping the probably weekly total of artillery shells fired in Ukraine on a single German Corps in about 3 hours then ramming several Armies through the gap. They also used tank forces, both to engage enemy armor and to run through any German infantry they found. The Eastern Front in 1944 to 1945 was full of stories of Soviet tank groups just driving west and destroying random German trucks and shit.
They aren't doing shit with random conscripts in trucks thrown at enemy lines in groups of like 8 at a time.

A Ukrainian AFV? Probably last time they opened fire in a direct fight involving AFVs, so probably yesterday or maybe today.
As for russians, you can't engage successfully when your commanders and gunners are so shit and unmotivated that you don't shoot when a fight starts.
If you want to actually attack a location you'll take small arms fire. APCs will protect you from that, a truck, bike or UTV will not. There's a lot of videos where the dismounts from a damaged BMP are being lit up by small arms as they fall out.

yes, but loss does not only mean destroyed, it includes damaged, captured and abandoned so a part of this could have been recovered and repaired, We also know russia is busy pulling lot's of rustbuckets from storage to replace losses.
