lmao that's sums it up. Pussians fear America so much these stunts are the equivalent of druggies taunting the police by making pig sounds. Meanwhile, America has no problem straight up obliterating them.

Pilots are moronic and they better realize on how valuable russian aircrafts are in the time of war with Ukraine. Although these are supposedly "elites" that were lucky to not be deployed to Ukraine.

      Nothing will happen.
US politicians are so terrified of war that they will keep letting them get away with this, which ironically will only make war more likely.

just bants, like the Americans and russians used to back when the TU95s would fly close to American air space, showing porn mags to the other pilots and stuff

TU95 long-range patrols, they would just fly close to NATO and US airspace and the pilots would engage in uncontrolled acts of bants with each other

That's pretty funny. I knew the encounters and "escorts" happened, but never heard any stories of what went on during the interceptions.

There was a time when the Russian army was kind-of professional and professional courtesy and respect are things that can exist between people dedicated to the same craft and who'd both rather not have to risk dying today if at all possible.

                >Concrete idea: The overall general population of any given country is pretty fricking cool when engaged within their social norms. Most russians are aware that going to war with the US is a poor idea,
You're going well there, I can agree with all that but...

                >and most russians know that the current US administraiton and it's proxies are doing their absolute best to create a narrative for war.
lol, perhaps Russians believe that. "know" is not a word that should be used about propaganda talking points.
Putin can end the war with a whisper.

How much shit would you get in as a drone pilot if you just happened to accidently fly your drone into the side of a Russian aircraft that was already flying recklessly?

That drone is (strategically speaking) worth a lot more than a russian fighter craft, even if it cost less to make

Lmao imagine being such a moronic nation state that you're forced to use your most capable aircraft that you only have 120 of, a manned USD $85M SU-35 that costs $36,000 per flight hour to slightly inconvenience an unmanned $15m MQ9 that costs $3000 per hour to operate, which the US has >300 of and which has been superseded completely in US use, using dangerous flyby manouevres no less.

        >That drone is (strategically speaking) worth a lot more than a russian fighter craft, even if it cost less to make
Wrong on every level and count.

This is one weird flex, it essentialy says that russia values their pilot's lives less than inconveniencing the drone's operations.

Back in the Cold War the usual outcome of encounters in international waters and airspace was just goofing around. Maybe US commanders preferred to call it training. Like how ships would get into races with Soviet crews flying kites off the deck. Playing around with ice-breakers in the artic. Etc. Only China today turns into an autistic screeching match.
