Well Putin is Russian Hitler, lol.

      >

Putin’s obsession with the very existence of an independent Ukraine is not his personal paranoia but a quintessential expression of the traumatised imperial consciousness that perceives Ukraine’s absence from the imperial project as a gaping hole, a bleeding wound that should be immediately cured by surgical means. If one reads Putin’s statements and writings about Ukraine carefully, one is likely to find some pan-Slavonic equivalent of Mein Kampf. The führer’s messages boil down to a few simple ideas: there is no Ukraine, it was invented by Russia’s enemies, Ukrainians are essentially Russians, and those who deny this make up “anti-Russia” – an existential threat to the whole “Russian World” that should be extinguished.

At least the Krauts genuinely had a good army compared to the size of their country that got a few serious scalps off of the Allies+USSR
The best thing Russia can say about their performance in this war is that they took the South relatively quickly because of traitors letting them just waltz right in, besides Mariupol which became a meatgrinder.

If you're Ukrainian or Polish I'd get it, Nazi rhetoric is almost directly similar to Russian Rhetoric towards those nations, they don't exist, or they only exist under a israeli hegemonic slavery.
            Sound similar?
Germany still didn't do anything wrong though, there actually was a israeli elite.

The only Issue I take with Germany is that they also wanted to ethnically cleanse the Ukrainian area just as the Russians had done before them 300 years prior to create a new land for Germany.
And now Russia is trying to do the same again kek.
Ukrainians just can't catch a break.

It's more like some countries happened to have surrendered while also under heavy bombing campaigns, e.g. Nazi Germany, Japan, Serbia
But the most devastating bombing are always strategic bombings, not terror bombings. And even they are just a way to soften up the forces on the ground and damage industry, not a way to actually force a surrender by themselves.
The terror bombing meme derived from some interwar Italian who thought just a few thousand tons of bombs could force any city in the world to capitulate because the people inside would rise up and overthrow their government if they wouldn't surrender on their behalf, something which has categorically never happened even once, even on a local level. I mean imagine if all the cursed interwar tanks designs were still being used as a doctrinal if not technological standard today, that's how ridiculous it is to still believe in terror bombing in 2023.

I'm going to say a giant waxed cardboard lawnmower drone could be produced en masse at a VERY low price. Western people know high-tech stuff well but are ABLE to make the most simple, most optimized designs this world has - if needed.

I'm rather curious how well waxed cardboard creates a radar print. I've got to believe it takes some top-tier radar that's been fine-tuned to pick up a slow-moving 2 meter piece of cardboard floating on the wind. Even if it does, some human somewhere has to notice it at all, and then recognize it as a threat that requires a response.

That doesn't even include what other tech enhancements would even further reduce its radar profile. It should be possible to manufacture ten thousand of these per week, if not per day.

Those Iranian drones were surprisingly effective. Or not so surprising given their large explosive payloads making them great for hitting entrenched infantry positions. Recall the impressive booms these things put out.

      Anonymous

They are almost exclusively used against large static targets, namely civilian infrastructure, because they're inaccurate and can't be guided after launch.
They're terror bombs which don't substantially support battlefield operations, and are now mostly countered with SHORAD.

        Anonymous

? There was videos showing them hitting infantry positions though.

          Anonymous

Yeah, a single one, and the rest of them are sent at cities. The number of attacks, and the lack of footage (unless it's them getting shot out of the sky) means their utility has ended. They can't even be used to divert resources, unless it's to buy more 35mm ammo.

You’re attached to this narrative but it’s false. Military vehicles and structures, troops, artillery, etc, are not "random civilian targets". They also hit energy infrastructure in cities but that’s also not random and also an acceptable target in a war. They are accurate enough vs static targets. They also cost Ukraine much more to intercept vs the cost of the drone so even when intercepted they inflict an economic cost.

              Anonymous

              >Military vehicles and structures, troops, artillery, etc, are not "random civilian targets"
I think they were trying to hit some depots with it, but their main success was against civilian buildings, which is primarily what the videos showed
              >that’s also not random and also an acceptable target in a war.
Very debatable. Gets into questions of wartime Utility. But here we are again - large immobile targets, the only thing it's good for.
              >They also cost Ukraine much more to intercept vs the cost of the drone
Doubtful now that they have radar-guided AAA, and the cost of each drone is variously estimated at minimum $10-20k. It also doesn't matter. The west has alot more money than Russia does - or Iran. The equation still points to "victory" for Ukraine.

Cope as hard as you'd like Ahmed. Your toys had their temporary fun in the sun against a poorly equipped post-Soviet military. A handful of Gepards nullified them. Videos showing them doing anything but getting blasted out of the sky are impossible to find. One can imagine how well they would fare against the US or the Israelis.
