What’s gun looks closest to the RPK-16 chambered in 5.45x39 that I can buy in burger land? Also let us reminisce about the days when you could buy an SKS for $90 and a case of 7.62x39 for $120 or a mosin for the same price.

Not sure on what gunbroker prices would be
A vepr and then buy the furniture
Why vepr?
Do you know of anywhere that sells the furniture that might look like the RPK-16? Or would I need to have it custom made you think?
you could buy an airsoft gun with it and take it off it lol
I thought about that but I’ve never owned an airsoft gun and I figure there’s no way the parts would be able to handle the heat or even fit in the first place. Right?
Zenitco made Vepr/Rpk specific handguards that were available back in the day at legionusa.com
I wonder how traveling around overseas what the availability of Zenitco stuff is.
Looks like they still have some parts albeit expensive for a single part.
I can tell you're in day/k/are, but the vepr's 1.5mm receiver is the same as the RPK series.
Get one of those, an AK-12 grip/stock parts kit, and do whatever for the forend. You ain't getting a copy of its QCB lol
>Why vepr
Because VEPRs use the thicker receiver and trunion that the RPK uses. Regular AKs do not.
>5.45x39 that I can buy in burger land
don't anon
This. With Russian ammo imports ending soon 5.45 is going to get rare and expensive to shoot.
I already hate myself and shoot primarily 5.7x28 does that change anything?
there's new production 5.7 in the US with more lines being added. 5.45 supply will just continue to dwindle indefinitely.
The same is literally true of 5.45, PSA is making it and has already shown off domestic production samples.
M10x gets pretty close.
I want to see more from this company too because this variant of the AK is a really interesting deviation.
Too bad it's shit from what I've heard. Looks pretty cool
AK-74 owner here, don’t buy anything in 5.45. The caliber is dead. Ammo is all 70cpr or more
PSA is fixing that
>AK-74 owner here, don’t buy anything in 5.45. The caliber is dead. Ammo is all 70cpr or more
Nothing is stopping importers from buying it from other countries besides Russia. They're just fricking lazy.

Hopefully when PSA makes money from it. Some others will import their own instead of willfully trying to kill it because they want to keep the market to stay focused on calibers they already make/sell.

I know it’s PSA but it already kinda has a similar layout to the RPK-16. Aside from being in 7.62x39 it’s fairly close (they also have a 5.56 that uses STANAGs)
Unironically buy a Galil ACE 5.56+gaypul D60 to scratch that itch.
Pig disgusting israelite rifle.
Better than any AK russia has ever made also you don't own any guns
