It's been suggested that whomever was at the wheel of HMS Chiddingfold is due for an Interview Without Coffee.
Their last victim was the HMS Penzance (another Hunt class) in 2021. Maybe the ship just doesn't like the newer class of minehunter?
They were setting up to bounce in sideways but then the engine wasn't there for the last forward blip. Likely to be misfortune. Technique is a little hotdog and better suited for smaller boats.
At least repair is easy, both field expedient and later in dockyard.
