Europe is not a country, I'm also European and I've seen it used here and there but it always seems like patch up work stuff rather than something you'd use if you had other alternatives
Idk, the bathroom ones only come with one on the pipe side. Also the shower stall I helped to install recently called for using silicone sealant on the lower o-ring because the bottom side of the drain was basically unfinished fiberglass.
can none of you retards tell the difference between silicon and silicone?
silicon = hard, brittle, used for making semiconductors
silicone = the caulking plumbers use
Not sure about silicon. I'd use plumbers putty
we always use silicone here in europe. Nver even heard of plumbers putty and i'm a plumber
>europe
I'm so sorry for your disability
>i'm from eurpoope and i've never hear of this american thing
wow go figure

You will need much more equipment to make semiconductors.
Use plumber's putty like the other guy suggested.
Here to join the putty brigade.
Silicone for bathroom sinks, putty for kitchen sinks.
>mfw I get sent to replace a drain someone used silicon on.
Silicone is not silicon
Exactly this. When you do work always assume youre going to the next asshole to have to fix it.
If I have a bathroom sink drain that had a rubber gasket but it's fucked up, can I get a new gasket or do I have to rip it off and silicone it?
Don't drains come with their own o-ring? Or is this a European thing?

I use ptfe paste. Works fine
>nnnnnoooooo you have to use play dough
Shut the fuck up chud
>ptfe
stop shitting up the water supply with teflon retard
I like the putty personally. Easy to work with and makes repairs a breeze later on. Cheap too

There's also silicone lube and... well the implant kind.
I used Rtv Ultra black last time I was here because I had it.
Its fine
