They kept her in a wheelchair and left with the medicine they'd come for, they talked about dumping her in the shallow part of the river so she'd flop around helplessly and drown, or else just leave her naked in the cold where she'd either freeze to death or be eaten alive by mutant dogs without functioning legs to run away. In the end they kept her in a wheelchair and ended up feeling bad for her and after she got a spinal infection they tried to go and find medicine for her.
