Russians will run out first. They've used up a lot of their collaborator forces.

They're an unwieldy mass of training units, mercs, fricking national police, etc.

Kherson was captured on the first day by riot police.

A surprise attack on a city 50 miles from Russian occupied territory, I would be surprised if they didn't take it.

Riot police in tanks and IFVs? Weird thing to train your police to use.

          >tanks and IFVs
A platoon of riot police fought off two BRDM 2 without any anti tank weapons. We watched it here.

Incredible. Take some riot police, add them to a force that obviously has tanks, IFVs, and an overwhelming advantage in air support and guided missiles, and they can fight like a real military.

How will the ones sent to the UK for training not just become illegal immigrants like numerous Afghan soldiers did in the US?

There will probably be some deserters in these situations, but overall Ukrainians are much more motivated to defend their homes than Afghans were.

Russians are fighting for Putin's pride and various schizo delusions.

Ukrainians fight for their homes and families. Even the fricking Separatists can at least claim they live in the areas they're fighting for, traitors that they are to be damned to hell.

I'd love an honest referendum in the Donbass to see how many support which side. Local Telegram groups are fairly pro Russian.

are you genuinely moronic or something, you realize russia has been in the donbas for 8 years propping up the seps and offing dissenters right? they weren't fighting tooth and nail until russia decided to break out of donbabwe so obviously neither side gives a shit about donbabweans, he is talking about the newly taken land and those under threat. anyway, donbabwe has been plundered of ablebodied men and women don't have opinions.

Donbass has a lot of ethnic Russians, many of which have been caught in the crossfire of several years of civil war. If it was left up to them I could see them voting to join Russia.
Of course it then raises the question of why there are ethnic Russians in ukraine in the first place and the answer is the same as to why transinistria and Kalingrad exist.

It is, in fact fake, yes.
Most of the people working for my company have not been conscripted, and they're mostly 20-35.
From the looks of it, the only conscription right now (not in Ukraine, just having an office there) is of reservists and territorials.
But for some reason, vatniks have been really desperate to push the idea of some mass conscription drive that pick absolutely random people in the middle of the beach or in front of stores.
Probably as a way to cope with what's going on in Russia right now. Or perhaps they're just projecting Dalits who are desperate for "proof" of Europeans being as pathetic as they are.
The second thesis seems more likely, since Ukraine is far from perfect and full of actual problems, yet somehow the vatniks on /k/ never mention them.

I've assumed Russia has been replacing the casualties of there "special operation" with Fresh bodies for the sake of optics

A pretty big difference is that the afghan national army weren't being asked to defend their homes from a foreign power, they were being asked to help a foreign power occupy their homes. Even taking into account the talibans many faults that's a big ask.

Because you wrongly assume that they are some sort of third-worlders from meme states and not Europeans defending their nation?

Only those who Volunteered get sent to the UK. This frees the Ukrainian training grounds for conscripts.

Is this fake too? I don't think so, anon... the sad truth is: Ukraine is running out of cannon fodder. They now resort to conscripting elderly and women. Kherson counteroffensive will be an absolute slaughter with thousands if not tens of thousands of Ukrainians dead.

One is actually prohibited from visiting beaches there, since they are full of mines as well as nearby waters. No wonder there would be a public stunt to discourage civilians from getting accidentally blown to bits
