Has anyone ever combined nordic skiing & small game hunting in the real world? Seems like its common in North Europe but haven't heard of people doing it stateside.
I'm waiting for us to actually get some snow in the Rockies and will be going out for Hares & Grouse (if still in season). Anyone have experience? Will share results if snow comes soon.
It's literally an Olympic sport, you stupid frick.
Oh yeah, forgot about the hundreds of small animals they release on the track at every Winter Olympics.
Looking for someone who's actually done it you illiterate simpleton
This would be unbelievably based if they did that.

The Biathalon is based around skiing into the woods and shooting game. OP is asking if anyone has done what the sports event is based on, not if it's a "real thing" that exists
>illiterate
>calling others stupid
You got called an illiterate Black person already here
you can't use that as your argument lmao.
...Montanan's hunt in several feet of snow, some of them use skies but that's uncommon.
calm down Carl, it's just rabbits and skis
yeah the finns perfected it in WWII kek

Yes moron, I know people do it in Europe.. Even mentioned that in the OP.
Have YOU done it though? That's what I am looking for, someone with knowledge of the activity.
Illiterate nigboon.
Thanks for your contribution!
You're welcome, Black person!
Only done it in autumn. Can't see how it would be much different on skis. It's not like you will be doing drive by tarmigan shooting.
Gave it a shot today, had to turn back because of bad conditions, but it shows promise. Skis are loud but I got eyes on some red squirrel and one hare. Forgot to put the scope back on my .22 so couldn't get close enough for any good shots.
It would definitely be a good way to hunt Tahr and Chamois in NZ.
