You just bought a Daniel Defense AR and are looking for "the right" red dot. Is Holopoint the best out there right now? And if not, please provide primary source data proving your assertions.

Yeah they’re not bad but you’ll always be a loser. For twice the price no one will think you’re a cuck, just pay it.
Get an aimpoint pro it’s not that much more
>recommending a heavy, outdated red dot that does absolutely nothing better.
I bet money you have a government profile barrel that has more extra weight that the Pro
barrel weight isnt wasted weight
Lmao he doesn’t know about government profiles and how they became a thing.
Wow you actually don't know do you
The aimpoint pro is garbage, it is genuinely a worse product than almost every holosun.
>you’ll always be a loser
;~;
Man l used to love Ben Avery
Used to? I have been meaning to go, but the BLM ranges are free and closer but no covered areas.
I'm just not gonna buy your chinkdots, (not) sorry.
I just can't justify aimpoints. I'll buy a 2k scope and have, but 800+ for a red dot, nah, I'll buy holosuns, they have been great, dropped on concrete, run for thousands of rounds on AK gas tubes. Shit works, it's a red dot. If I am spending 800 I'll spend 1200 and get a good Lpvo instead.
It's only money anon.
>no magnification
Yeah there's no magnification, it's a fricking red dot. Do you need magnification for every single shooting scenario?
>worse passive NV performance than eokek
Passive is AIDS no matter what setup you run, even then it's doable with a T2.
You're supposed to put the IR on the 12-o'-clock rail
>Verification not required
>12-o'-clock rail
>MP5
>thinking 800 bucks is a lot
Holosun is just trying to be what aimpoint is kiddo.
800 bucks is a week's pay for most people.
so brave
>red dot on a rifle
>either no magnification, or shitty with a magnifier where an eokek would be better
>worse passive NV performance than eokek
Top kek, the only place for a red dot on a rifle is either on top of another optic, or on an offset mount
>eokek
>better
>implying you own a night vision set-up
What kind of moronic cope is this
>moron discovers that optic not really meant for magnification doesn't have magnification
AEMS is unironically justasgood as an EOkek for passive aiming.
>needing magnification
Fix your eyes moron
>red dot on rifle is bad now
what?
Argtards are tards anon. Don't listen to any of them.
Here's how I view red dots
>poorgay who just wants a dot: Romeo 5 or Holochink of your choice
>cloner autist (me): PRO in a period appropriate mount or a CompM4
>NVG owner: T2 or Eokek or something with good night vision performance
I see no reason to step outside of this dichotomy.
>Romeo 5
PSA rifle with a Romeo 5 Just Werks(tm) and is the musket of our time.
Holosuns and other Chinesium optics like Vortex are pretty good bang for the buck, their main failing being stupidly soft mount screws and not much else. In comparison I had a Turkdot on my handgun and it just fricking blew up within 300 rds.
>stupidly soft mount screws and not much else.
Can confirm - I snapped a Vortex mount screw by overtightening, although Vortex sent a bunch of replacements for free within a week of contacting them.
The prism sights also accept Aimpoint QD mounts
Glass quality matters in dusk/low light even without nvgs.
aimpoint
>source
I have two on my DD AR15s.
My first choice would probably be the 4t-pro, assuming nothing else. I cannot vouch for its reliability but if you can find it, it's at an affordable price point and you get a good amount of features for the money and it shares the same mounting footprint with the T2 if you wanna swap at a later date.
Otherwise the Romeo 5 is a fine budget option and im sure holosun makes a competitor that would be a good choice as well but i can't list any specific models off the top of my head. You are buying chink shit at this price range if that bothers you.
The T2 is the safe choice if you have the dosh to expend.
astigmatism bros rise up
based
Is that a ta11 and how in the world does that work so far out on the rifle? I know the ta11 has a better eye relief than a ta31 but I can't imagine that it had a foot of eye relief.
Yes, it's a TA11. RFB is a bullpup, so in practice your eye is at just about max eye relief
the tinycog is so weird. it has eye relief for days but if you dont put it 6 inches from your face you get a eyefull of black optic housing.
How does that thing perform? I like the idea but do you use or like a red dot with both eyes open?
I also have the stig but it doesn't seem too bad if you aren't thinking about it.
Really like these, deals on them on DVOR at present.
>You just bought a Daniel Defense AR
Just ask your handler what he suggests and go with that.
>Buys a DD because he was told it was the best
>Throws a holosun on it
Nobody here fricking shoots despite being able to afford it if they didnt overspend on toys I guess.
>not choosing the best sight
Fixed magnification prism like the primary arms 3x
I have a t2 and a couple holosun 508t’s. I love my t2 and the 508t serve their purpose. The aems and eps unironically seem excellent for what they are. The t2 could maybe use an update, but it’s footprint and housing are perfect
