I was going to buy a pair of joggers, they were $89 a few days ago now they're $99. Is this a common thing with outdoors brands?

Terrebonne? they're pretty tight, you may want to consider sizing up if you're between sizes according to their charts. I'm 5'7" (171 commieters), ~150lbs (67 kommiegrams), and the small is tighter than I'd like but the medium looks like parachute pants even with the waistband above my navel. Excellent pants notwithstanding.

They need to do this because of "inflation" or "muh Ukraine" just as any store these days. Buy used or don't buy it at all.

most outdoor shit went up 20-30% since muh coof and muh ukraine. waybackmachine or look at older lighterpacks where people listed the cost.

next thing you'll say is arcteryx is a good outdoors brand and not a brand for city homosexuals to pretend they go outside while in a coffeeshop

it is, their shells are the best

the trope of city homosexual brand who only goes outside to the coffeeshop comes from both the fact most people do wear rain gear casually in the american northwest specifically, and the north face. it actually applies to the north face because the only decent gear they make is a couple items in summit series. patagonia has the same image as the north face but actually has substance behind it, the gear's they make is usually good. definitely overpriced but its actually worthy gear regardless of if urbanites use it as fashion accessories. remember when workwear was trendy like 10yrs ago? didn't make logging apparel companies any worse and making logging apparel even though fly by night companies selling the image without the quality existed.
anyways patagonia still makes the best windbreaker you can buy, maybe you can get me to agree with you if someone ever makes a better one.

Not good, just one of the best and the tip of the spear when it comes to outdoor shells and even tactical homosexual shit for the gun larpers.

Feels amazing too when you flex hard on those fat, redneck, bass fishing fricks wearing Simms and the homosexual tech frick wearing Patagonia fly fishing.

ZOGbot here, I will confirm that both patagonia and arcteryx are considered almost luxury brand stuff when it comes to combat uniforms. I was lucky enough to score some from RFI and I loved it- way better than the skilcraft/propper/tru-spec shit you get issued/buy at the PX.

I'm absolutely ignorant on /k/ matters but do military people actually get to choose their equipment?

            Anonymous

For the US forces it depends on who you are and your assigned duty, but generally they have to adhere to uniform standards so no. Those allow for certain authorized accessories so a lot of soldiers spend on those.

Many soldiers wear commercial market stuff when off duty, traveling, etc. Also the closer someone gets to specialized duty the more freedom they have to choose. Most of the Special Forces guys use close to 100% commercial market clothing and accessories, though exactly what is often a team decision.

Due to the grain shortage a 500g pack of pasta here in Italy — practically oxygen — went from €0.60-.75 to €1-1.2. You cannot understand how much of a tragedy this is for us

on the border of millenial and xer here. patagonia's always had high prices zoomers didn't make that happen. their prices are high because they're a lot more focused on "green" and "eco friendly" than other brands, and they're one of the brands that actually seems to do r&d on textiles which you're definitely paying for, but the gear's still good.
ironically zoomers finding milsurp to be trendy and fashionable drove the prices up on a lot of milsurp stuff over the last 5yrs, also collectors considering more things collectible. milsurp is still cheap in europe based on what anons say on here but it ain't cheap in america anymore.

their prices are a more of a reflection of their sourcing and production methods and philanthrophy than a fashion tax, dumbfrick
