>Good news from overseas. The US Department of State has authorized the sale of 4 reconnaissance aerostats to Poland. The negotiations will soon be completed and the contract signed. After the delivery of new systems to the #PolishArmy, sky monitoring will reach a completely new level.
US uses them a fair amount iirc. They're useful for IR sensor packages.
>interracial sensors
Poles will STOP the migrants
bit late china has managed to balloon up in sky of America, you late, you slow
>rzckowynizce aerowstjajty
kurwa twoja mać
Lighter than air flight is based and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
>Leftists
>Corperate interests funding both sides to let in more cheap beaner labor.
Funny.
Now attach drones or missiles to them.
So USA was actually inspired by the balloon of the based Chinks so much that now they too make balloons?
The balloon in the OP has been in service for over 40 years
homie ... wat?
Man I thought the luftwaffe was BTFO by that point, those bombs are fricking huge.
This is the logisticians wet dream. The only time man has ever undergone such an endeavor or such scale.
It was histories biggest shitshow, thank fricking Christ literally everyone else on earth is more stupid than we are
>It was histories biggest shitshow, thank fricking Christ literally everyone else on earth is more stupid than we are
this is literally the only reason the USA has succeeded at anything, but it doesn't change the fact that the bar is where it is, so it still counts.
it will never not be staggering to me how fricking bad everyone is at the most basic level of logistics.
what's the point? they are too low to spot anything, there's too many of them for no reason.
They're barrage balloons. The cables were supposed to catch planes that flew underneath the balloons. In operation they would be higher.
look up the PTDS balloon. it's not the first but it's the one they tried to fit hellfires on one time iirc
>you will never command a comfy k class blimb
Feels bad man
zeppelin bro we are so back
These are more useful than AWACs. Pretty significant step for Polish EW capabilities.
So what would happen if you put that fancy stealth paint on a zeppelin and upgunned it?
it would still show up on radar everywhere
Controversial Opinion: Triangular balloons
i wonder if 1st Balloon Batallion will be reactivated it would have history spanning over 100 years...
I fricking hope
Impressive.
With this most recent achievement, fate has in a single stroke, marked the decline of the spacefaring nations and spelled a new era of wondrous prosperity and peaceful galactic dominance for the Polish hedgehog, which promises to firmly stand in sharp contrast to the historically bloody ascent of all our neighbours and the cruel subjugation it brought to the Jesus'ier nations of the world. With the blessings of Tyskie electricity, quantum pierogi and quantum enhanced Pope John Paul II will be the instruments with which Poland affirms its noble stewardship of 21st century world politics and offers the janitorial and manual laborer world a different option; a space alternative to the depredations of Austrian leadership and the opportunity for a more equitable and dignified multilateralism.
I honestly don't understand why we don't use airships more. the elevation advantage and relatively low cost for it to stay on station seems ideal for beyond horizon deployment of stuff. just have planes or ground units spotting closer in, fire and forget.
because they suck for current military use cases (compared to c-130s and ospreys), and progress in the airship industry focus on commercial and leisure use anyway
