Which one boys? I like the M&P and RIA, because they have safeties, but I'd be willing to live without. The RIA is metal, but the Smith and Sig come optic ready. People keep telling me the Sig X series is a really nice upgrade from the base 320. Ideally this pistol would come with me in the woods, on hunting trips, so I'd be looking to shoot some Buffalo bore or underwood or some other hard cast.
Metal 10mms beat themselves to death, even bren 10s and delta elites have serious longevity concerns, the RIA is definitely off the table in terms of good choices. Also, even if it was as durable as polymer, a metal gun when you're already carrying stuff inkwoods isn't a great plan.
Glocks are by far the most proven and the only 10mm to see actual service by people like Alaskan police and Sirrus patrols, where they've been confirmed GTG longer than the rest have been around. Sig and M&Ps are still generally good, and you probably won't run into any issues, but there's still a question mark in terms of longevity and durability there.
Of the ones you said, I'd go M&P. The bore axis is pretty high on the 320 series and everyone who's shot one will tell you there is more muzzle flip on a p320 than a glock 17. With 9mm that's not too big of a deal, but if you're shooting serious 10mm loads, you don't want a design that's inherently bad for recoil control.
I'd recommend either a Glock 20 or 40. But I'd say M&P from your list. If capacity matters, the RIA holds 16 rounds compared to 15 for the others.
Thanks guys. I didn't realize the metal frame 10mms had that issue. I would've thought it was the opposite. My only issue with the glock is it has none of the features I was looking for, unless I could find an MOS. But trying to find a blue label 20 is bad enough, blue label 20 MOS is unbelievable. I have a local store that offers the Smith Guardian program, and he said Smith allows him to order through that program vs Glock where it's more you get what you get. That's what LGS stores say, I don't own one so I can't confirm.
Don't go MOS. They're not as versatile as an RMR footprint or any other more standard cut. It's worth the added step to get your slide milled in the long run.
The analogy I've heard is MOS vs RMR is similar to Glock rails vs every other handgun rail (though not sure how correct that comparison is).
My brother had the 4.6 10mm, he sent it back to Smith, with pictures every time to document the failures to feed, a total of no less than 4 times. And still they couldn't get it running, some times claiming they had polished the barrel and feed ramps, sometimes claiming the pistol was working fine, other times sending out new mags or recoil springs to try, even replacing the barrel another time. But still, the gun would not function, especially so with full power 10mm ammo from sig. He even tried a plethora of recoil springs and mag springs on his own. The guns a POS. By the time he sold it as a trade in, it was even dropping the mag randomly under recoil force. Stay away, like far fricking away.

I appreciate that heads up. I've heard those were good to go. I heard the sigs had issues related to their mags, but I also heard they were fixed fairly quick, so imnstarting to lean back to the xten.
Yeah, your entire assessment is wrong. Go ahead and count the number of enclosed-emitter optics (i.e. the only ones you should be buying for duty in 2023) you can mount on an RMR pattern. There's literally one (1) good optic you can mount on an RMR, and it's the SRO, and it's only really relevant for competition. The only problem with the MOS system is that the OEM Glock plate is made out of cast steel, rather than milled steel, which is fixed via the aftermarket. Future-proofing your gun is a valuable thing, and plates are the best way to go about it. In 2019 everyone thought the DPP pattern mount was going to win the format war, now look at it. The RMR pattern is already dying, that's why Holosun had all their 2022 releases for the k-pattern, and their 2023 releases are aimed at the ACRO pattern.
Also, Glock rails are Picatinny compatible in the current gen, and it's never even mattered before this gen because every light manufacturer in the universe included a Glock spacer anyway.
enclosed emitter is a meme. Ive carried in rainy as frick weather to where my entire red dot filled up with water. whenever i draw my gun, all the water falls out and i can see the dot perfectly. seems like non issue
enclosed dots are fricking HUGE. the whole point of pistol is to be smol

Nah, you are gay and lying. And your red dot loses zero when you change the battery nobody does that anymore. All the rmr has is its patented shape. When the patent dies, i bet nobody of note will clone it, only wish tier literally who companies.
Look at all this wrong shit you spent all this time writing. Open emitter is literally fine for ccw and duty look at nearly all police shootings in the past 4 years if you need more data about how dumb and wrong you are.
You'd think that metal would be more durable, and in some circumstances it is, but under recoil in a pistol metal just eats the impact and polymer can flex and absorb it.
There's something off about hoplofheil but he's the only tolerable guntuber I've found since paul got so dry, anyways any good recommendations for someone who seems knowledgeable, not hour long videos, not super dry or rambly that I can put on in the background?
Is anybody able to identify the gun this guy has? I saved this picture from here a long time ago, don't remember any context just thought the gun was cool. Thanks
Why doesn't apocalypse media (zombie or otherwise) ever feature black powder firearms? I'm not a reloader so I may be wrong, but wouldn't it be much easier to craft your own musket ammo while on the move than trying to manufacture or scavenge modern cartridges?
Is a minimalist tang sight like this obtainable? Montana Vintage makes one that's pretty close (#133) but it doesn't mount to the rifle I got, it's a Winchester 1866 Cimarron replica.
When I shoot my gen 3 19 I notice that it produces holes that are ragged on the paper. Whenever I shoot my other 9mms I get neat circular holes. I’m not talking about the group, I’m talking about the individual holes of each round. Is this a polygonal rifling thing or what?
No, it's the ammo you're using. Use a flat meplat/wadcutter bullet or a hollow point, it will make neat, tight circles. The rifling has nothing to do with it.
Gas block
A heavier buffer cant be adjusted, a gas block can. There's a reason that adjustable gas blocks on military rifles are a thing but buffers aren't.
Stop, adjustable gas blocks go on from the ground up piston designs. On a di ar they are dumb and cringe and, brt ez tune gas tube, h3 buffer, bootleg adjustable bolt carrier group. The bootleg bcg is such a fricking good bcg fricking s7 tool steel the only reason you dont see more of them is because theyre expensive but worth it and people are cheap stupid fricks.
You could put mole skin on the areas that give you hot spots. That helps but I’ve always found that appendix is a very stabby method of carry no matter what I do. Never had this problem with 4 o’clock.
Thanks, I will probably try that soon. I had the most aggressive concealment "claw" on, but I am using the less aggressive one now to see if it helps with the pressure and pointyness. What is most annoying is how I will have things set up and feel good, and then a half hour later things change and get uncomfortable somehow.
Is JennyJ1911 the ideal /k/ wife goals? >likes guns >has fun shooting >is into reloading >qt as frick >isn't an Instagram prostitute
How do I find a gf like this?
Bought a mini 14 a while ago liked it at the time for not looking like an AR but being as functional as one. Might just sell it but was looking for some interesting things people have done with theirs. Maybe a bayonet lug like the old government models i dunno. I also hate the cheap modern wood stock it looks like its made from pulp compared to any other piece of wood on anything else i own.
Strip the shitty lacquer on the birch stock and stain it or oil it and it looks a million times better. You can get one of those vented handguards. Sling, tech sights, rail if that gets you off.
Yeah i have thought of refinishing the stock. A sling goes immediately on every long gun i have that takes one and if i doesnt i often make it take one. What advantage do the tech sights offer other than being more durable? I dislike aperature sights in general but ive never really had an issue with the Mini's in particular. But maybe a railed handguard with a flashlight and a little work on the wood could help me justify keepin her around.
Depends on your generation, but rugers stock sights are dogshit imo and $30 was a no brainer. Don't get the railed handguard those things have more slop than a trough at a pig farm you'll want one of the receiver mounts.
What's the highest velocity 7.62x5r ammo available? I found some from Doubletap that supposedly shoots 3,325 fps, but I'm also seeing where that number is probably bullshit.
Honestly with something like that just use what you can get and be happy. Finding something like match grade stuff or hand picking high velocity is not worth the hassle and the difference between good ammo and cheap shit is basically nothing when shot through whatever 99% of people will shoot it through. A nugget isnt good enough of a gun for ammo to matter usually.
>why is everyone in the "gun community" a literal copy paste personality?
Gets clicks, which is money. >Do other gun forums steal our memes or do we steal theirs?
Honestly have no idea.
>Do other gun forums steal our memes or do we steal theirs
I have no proof, but I assume everyone takes our memes like most other topics. iirc some big brain once did a study that found most memes popped up on PrepHole first before spreading elsewhere.
If its an old gun with shitty mags, no
If its a reasonable choice for a defensive firearm (mags are readily available and made of modern high quality steel) then it should be good for a couple decades.
Closest thing is a chiappa rhino, but thats an internal hammer with a external faux hammer. There aren't many striker DA/SAs, never heard of being able to wiener one manually.
How much room would I need to shoot rabbit clays? I have a small steel tagret range but don’t think the property is long enough for bird clays. Going straight across the berm it’s probably around 20 yards or something
Kind of a bizarre question, but my dad is going to help me do my taxes for the first time this year. I'm worried we're going to have look at bank accountant statements or something and he'll see I sent seven hundred dollars to a firearms store. He's a major antigunner and doesn't know I own guns, he'd probably through me out or force me to sell it or something if he found out. This isn't going to happen, right guys? What's the tax filing process like? I can't afford to be thrown out on the streets.
You already paid sales tax on your purchases. You'll only be paying taxes on your income. There are some reasons you might look at your bank statements though, if you're deducting charity donations or work related spending or something like that. Otherwise it shouldn't even come up.
Hahahaha no he won't know you bought a gun. If you made less than 3k don't even bother doing taxes. Or just pay your taxes every 2 years or something. Idk I'm always late because the money I pay in late fees is less than inflation so who gives a shit lmao
What’s the name of that larp tacticool group from the 90s/00s that took themselves too seriously? Can’t remember the name for the life of me and I’ve tried to look them up but got nothing so far. Seen some memes about them here before. They look like they’re trying to be SWAT or delta force or something, but I think it’s a civilian or “ex military” group
I’ve got a holo sight I just mounted on a rifle, noticed after a range trip that some brass was hitting the bottom of the optic while I was dialing in the gas. Will this frick it up at all or is it just a cosmetic thing?
Thanks anon, I think I’m going to stick some black tape on the bottom to see if that helps. It’s an SA58 if that matters, really likes to violently throw brass. I’d like to stick a magnifier on there so rail space is limited.
Got a few bros. >Best optic for AR pistol? Or a good ~250-300 dollar one? >Can't we get frag grenades? How does that work don't I just pay a tax stamp and use responsibly? (USA) >What's the decent level lvl 4 plates nowadays?

Oof
I'm the questioner. Dude the colossus and the $3200 lightweight plates are too expensive. I just wanna get a rig like a crye jpc with 2 plates that don't feel like lead. For like $1k and I don't want steel. Is it that hard to spoon-feed me like a bird feeding it's babies?
optic, PA 3x prism >Gabageedler
It's a good meme. Also thanks bro someone else said cyclops but primary arms looks like the best way to go. I'd do an aimpoint and a canted rmr but shit that's like $1300+ just for some glorified red dots? I would only do that if I were a millionaire. So primary arms it is. Good job. Big dick/10
>Best optic for AR pistol? Or a good ~250-300 dollar one?
In that range I'd just get a romeo5 + some more ammo. You can find them for around 100 buckers and they're alright. If you want better quality wait and save for a T2 or RMR imo. >What's the decent level lvl 4 plates nowadays?
I use LTC 26605 plates. they're heavy as frick but they're cheap. Buddy ran over my PC with a car and plates showed no sign of fractures. From my limited knowledge, Highcom, LTC, and Hesco are all good dealers.
Now you goons help me out here because helmets are tricky for me, I run a Team Wendy bump with comtacs, thermal, pvs14 and a LOT of counterweight in the back (almost 2lbs). I was thinking about getting an ech like pic related for $500ish or a full cut Avon. My reasoning is that I'd like to trade dead weight on the back for some actual ballistic protection. I like the idea of an ech being able to stop rifle rounds and its not prohibitively heavy or expensive. Would I still be able to wear my comtacs comfortably under helmets like these and are there any better options?
yes, either headband or neckband will work, the microphone and extra leads will be very annoying if you have them. It's not as good as arc rail adapters/we but its fine.
Thanks amigo, I will definitely consider how I run the cables
There's a lot of room in optics between $100 and $5-800
You're right but they're all chinesium below 400ish so you might as well get the cheapest one of reliable quality and warranty. If you have astigmatism get a low mag prism from vortex or primary arms. If you realllly like the donut of death reticle get a holosun.
If you're cool with second hand stuff, you'll likely find some Eotechs, aimpoints, etc. at good prices on Tacswap
hey /k, i have several guns and someone i’m related to and currently live with went in to buy gun and at local shop. while filling out the forms to buy, they put “yes” to “ are you buying this firearm to commit a crime” like a dumbass. obviously they got denied but can go back tomorrow to try again.
do you think that will negatively effect me as we live together and are related in getting on a list or buying in the future?
So I just recently got my CCW permit. I'm currently trying to figure out what pistol to buy as my full size Para 1911 is hard to conceal even in winter here.
But I had a quick question, there is no rule against my wife carrying a spare magazine in her purse is there? She doesn't have a CCW permit, but she wouldn't be carrying a firearm, just a backup mag for whatever gun i go with. Sound right to you guys? I'm in North Carolina if it matters.
Is being an American artilleryman safe? Want to pay for school with a mindless NG job. Like how capable is Russian, Iranianor Chinese counter-battery shit? On the extremely off chance a Nasty Girl 13B gets deployed to a hot conventional war in next 5 years
Don't sign up for what you aren't willing to do. To answer your question, you're probably fine, but you should still be ready to go if/when needed. Don't be a welfare prostitute, be a welfare warrior
>I just want free school and don't want to serve in any meaningful way
National guard is exactly where you belong with all those other glorified welfare queens. National Guard gets called up moron, look at all the whiney b***hes from the Iraq war that just expected to play army one weekend a month and get free shit. Trying to play MOS games to find some roll where you can do nothing and still get GI Bill benes if fricking moronic.
What are some chest rig essentials that I should be purchasing? I live in a suburban area. I already have a map, flashlight, Leatherman, water, notebooks, tape and a basic first aid kit sorted.
Pull down on the little tabs and slide it off
Some guyus would wedge zipties into the little tabs to keep them open, I've always been able to just slide mine under hand pressure.
Looking to buy a buddy of mines rifle, we're residents of different states, but currently live in the same one for grad school, could we perform a transfer at a local FFL or would he have to ship it from an FFL in his home state to one in mine?
If you're confident in your sewing, or you can find something that just happens to have a good fitting compartment for your needs, yes. Tactical brands never look normal enough to be truly "concealed" imo. Most normies may not clock them for what they are, but they'll stand out as strange. And knowers will know.
Does ammo deteriorate over time? I bought some bulk steel case 7.39 and 9mm to keep stashed away but I also have some loaded mags. Right now they're just kind of sitting in my closet in a surplus ammo bin but I'm wondering if they'll deteriorate over time or anything. Should I be keeping them in an airtight container or something? The weather here is really mild so its never super humid or anything.
Anywhere climate controlled should be fine. Dryness is the key. Even outdoors or buried, they'll be fine as long as they stay dry. You can use desiccant packets if you're concerned.
>Does ammo deteriorate over time?
if storage conditions are bad yes, something like the trunk of your car counts as bad. if storage is good then its decades.
they will, but youre talking decades and decades assuming its either climate controlled or sealed. People were shooting ww2 surplus pretty widely through the 90s stored god knows how without issue. If youre worried about you then dont. if youre worried about your kids then throw it in a good tine with a desiccant pack.
It depends a lot on the conditions where it is stored and the design of the ammunition. I've shot WW2 vintage ammunition that worked fine, and some from the 70s that was sketchy because it was stored outdoors. Generally speaking you have many decades, but a climate controlled dry environment can extend that shelf life substantially.
As far as ammunition design, sealant around the bullet and primer is a big help. It's not essential, but by keeping moisture out it can help the ammunition last even longer.

Are concealed carry bags and purses a meme? Is it better to just find a bag you like and sew some loop material inside it?
You can easily DIY, the commercial products you are looking at exist for people who don't have the skills, time or confidence to try it themselves.
The bigger question is about off body carry, since you can lose the bag and therefore the gun with it. People do it anyway because it's more comfortable and convenient, but carrying in a bag or purse is widely recommended against for that reason.
Looking to buy a buddy of mines rifle, we're residents of different states, but currently live in the same one for grad school, could we perform a transfer at a local FFL or would he have to ship it from an FFL in his home state to one in mine?
No, just transfer at an FFL in your current state. If there's any reason why that wouldn't work that FFL will tell you.
What are some chest rig essentials that I should be purchasing? I live in a suburban area. I already have a map, flashlight, Leatherman, water, notebooks, tape and a basic first aid kit sorted.
Sounds pretty through. Factoring ammunition and magazines do you think it might be too busy with too much stuff?
If you had to choose a first range rifle would you choose a 10/22 or a bavaria cz457?
457 by a mile. The 10/22 is more practical in terms of cost and availability of parts but the CZ 22s are just phenomenal. I highly recommend them for their superior quality and they just feel great to shoot without any mods necessary.
Of course you can't stick a BX-25 magazine in one and use it as a somewhat effective backup HD weapon, but that depends what you want the rifle to do.
So I just recently got my CCW permit. I'm currently trying to figure out what pistol to buy as my full size Para 1911 is hard to conceal even in winter here.

Having your wife carry spare magazines should be fine, but it begs the obvious question of why not just have them on your person.
As far as a smaller gun there's a lot of great options for either really small or fairly small but high capacity subcompact pistols nowadays. Shop around because you're spoiled for choices.
It's not like you're in California with a restrictive roster limiting it to only a few.
I'm trying to fill my bases. Unironically my area is seeing a lot of violent crime and break ins, and I run a slick carrier under my chest rig just in case.
What gun might this be from and what part? I was tinkering with and disassembling AKs , ARs, a FAL, and a ruger American Predator and found this on the towel when I was putting everything away. I can't find where it is from. .128" diameter.
Any advice on how to best store my 22lr ammo? I currently just have my bricks in a .30 cal ammo box since the bricks are the right width, but I'm sure there's a "better" way to do it out there.
Bought the cheapest $8 polymer glonk sights for a dinky P80 build and the front sight post wasn't even fricking threaded. In my attempt to make the screw thread it under pressure, the even more fricking useless sight screw driver I got on ebay just sunk into the shaft rendering it completely fricking useless. Anybody know where I can find one that WON'T fricking break the same way? Also don't buy any sights made "in-house" from KM Tactical. Their poly ones aren't even fricking threaded, and their low-profile fiber sights BREAK IN HALF under HAND pressure tightening the screw into the slide.
Just go on Amazon and order a decent set for 50 bucks or less. And that gets you in the cheap range of Tritium sights as well. Plus if they frick up you can send them back and/or keep the existing ones and get money back. It's always a win/win when using Amazon.
An aquaintance of mine has a problem mounting an aimpoint micro s 1 on his beneli nova due to a fricking arches on the rib >pic related.
Any tips? >Give someone grind q groove into the rib arch?
It's in the realm of legacy support. Compared to 308 Winchester, 8mm Mauser has about the same or slightly less velocity but more bullet mass. It's not really enough for it to do anything that 308 can't.
Serbs still use it because they standardized on 8mm a long time ago and there are reasons for sticking to a cartridge other than it being good or bad ballistically. It's certainly not bad enough to warrant abandoning unless there's a need to standardize with a caliber that a strategic ally uses, which is what happened to 30.06, .303, 7mm Mauser and 8mm in most other countries. 6.5mm Swedish is an exception where it remains popular after military service as a civilian cartridge because of it's excellent long range trajectory. I don't think 8mm will get the same treatment, it's still made and sold to supply the vast amount of people who have vintage Mausers and other firearms that shoot it but there's no particular reason to make new designs chambered in it.

Aren't there mounting points on the receiver for this? Why is he trying to mount it to the barrel?

I want a big stupid magazine-fed shotgun that fires fast
Saiga 12 or VEPR-12. Both are banned from import and you need one in order to have any chance of winning in 3-gun so expect to get wallet raped.
6.5 grendel is worse than 280 british, why has 7mm nato not come back?
It's really difficult to justify switching away from a standardized caliber once it is in use. The cost and logistic headaches are enormous, it would have broken standards with other NATO countries, plus you can't piggyback off the stuff that other countries develop for guns shooting their caliber and nobody is going to want to develop anything for your non standard caliber weapon systems because there isn't as much money to be made.
Even if they aren't the best calibers, 5.56 and 7.62 NATO have been incredibly beneficial by at least establishing a standard that everyone else worked around. But changing it now means a big fat headache for all of those countries, not just one.
I do not think there are mountingpoints on the reciver but i will take a peak.
> It is a nova (basic version ) NOT a supernova (tacticalish).
If i remember benelli nova field 20 gauge no rear sight , no notch sight, only 2 beads
He bought the optic because it was made specifically to mount on the rib almost any shotgun(might not be an S1 but it is a smoll aimpoint with a set of mounting plates),
nobody took into account that benelly has to be a special with arches on their ribs.
Not one bit. I don't think you could design the left half of the gun in a way that justifies the frickery in the right half, but refusing to try is the worst solution.

Should have clarified that this is designed to be used by basically the equivalent of spartans from halo. The idea here was to combine the prototype LAM with the compensator, with a metal frame instead of a polymer one
high tech soldiers like spartans would definitely have their own tech on their helmets/armor instead of on the gun.
They would have IR or flashlights or night vision or thermals or whatever the absolute clusterfrick of a LAM unit that shit is already strapped to their fricking face and would most likely prefer to keep it out of the gun.
Anyone have any suggestioms for podcasts? I've been trying to listen to some at work, but most of them seem to talk more so about laws, concealed carry, and statistics about crime and shit. I want to listen about guns. The history and development about guns and etc...
You should cut the front pocket out of your pants so that you can stick your hand in and jerk off in public.
might as well us a DA/SA and pocket carry at that point
That's what I've been doing, but then I can't take off my jacket.
You could just keep it unbuttoned
Why would you want to take it off?
NTA but sometimes buildings we walk inside have this thing called heat. Crazy I know.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll get lucky and see a used one already cut.
I've heard the 4.6 was good to go, or do you have more information?
Get a tanfoglio
You'd think that metal would be more durable, and in some circumstances it is, but under recoil in a pistol metal just eats the impact and polymer can flex and absorb it.
delta elite's busted even if you maintain the springs etc? i saw something on a website but ofc i see a few of them idk though i guess really
I'd recommend either a Glock 20 or 40. But I'd say M&P from your list. If capacity matters, the RIA holds 16 rounds compared to 15 for the others.
The M&P jams like frick. Do not buy it.
How much should my thumb muscle press into the grip of a handgun? As in, do I want a bigger or smaller backstrap for chunky hands?
Yes, be like budget Daniel Craig there and wear a beltless trench coat
What gun is this?
Looks like a sig 226 or 220

Does anyone know where to buy SWFA SS optics in europe? I can't find them anywhere.
Is anybody able to identify the gun this guy has? I saved this picture from here a long time ago, don't remember any context just thought the gun was cool. Thanks
Homebrew Borz
Don't think so, Borz has a square receiver whereas this thing is tubular like a Sten or a Greasegun.
They're shop builds
jesus those are crude, I think it's definitely some frankenstein shit though, cobbled together with a bunch of different parts

Why doesn't apocalypse media (zombie or otherwise) ever feature black powder firearms? I'm not a reloader so I may be wrong, but wouldn't it be much easier to craft your own musket ammo while on the move than trying to manufacture or scavenge modern cartridges?
To an enthusiast, perhaps. However making black powder is essentially black magic to the average normie
my memory isn't the greatest, how hard is it to take the firearm safety certificate test in California?
What should I prioritize between an adjustable gas block and a heavier buffer? Specifically for suppressor use, but in general too.
Any tips on how to make aiwb carry more comfortable? My holster tends to put too much pressure or stab me on my soft sensitive skin.
I forgot that happened. I just live with constant cuts and bruises to my lower right abs.

Any tiny gain to flatter shooting I can get will make me proportionately happier. I love my nugget, I'm just being autistic.
Thanks. I'll look into this.
>highest velocity 7.62x5r ammo available
No idea but I doubt it would be all that fast.
Denver munitions had a contract overrun and surplused a bunch of AP ×54R. It's probably pretty spicy.
Where would a Breacher place his C4/C2 charges on his kit? On the carrier rig or somewhere else?
Do other gun forums steal our memes or do we steal theirs? why is everyone in the "gun community" a literal copy paste personality?
>why is everyone in the "gun community" a literal copy paste personality?
Gets clicks, which is money.
>Do other gun forums steal our memes or do we steal theirs?
Honestly have no idea.
>Do other gun forums steal our memes or do we steal theirs
I have no proof, but I assume everyone takes our memes like most other topics. iirc some big brain once did a study that found most memes popped up on PrepHole first before spreading elsewhere.
I've kept a 17 round mag loaded with 15 rounds constantly for the past two years and nothing about it has changed.
>why is everyone in the "gun community" a literal copy paste personality?
Where do you think the concept of NPCs came from?
Leaving magazines loaded to full capacity for extended periods of time. Ye or ne
It's fine.
If its an old gun with shitty mags, no
If its a reasonable choice for a defensive firearm (mags are readily available and made of modern high quality steel) then it should be good for a couple decades.
Has anyone made a striker fired handgun with a hammer, which itself does not strike the primer but serves as to wiener the striker?
Can't recall the model, but iirc I have seen a striker fired pistol that had a hammer for some reason I can't recall
Closest thing is a chiappa rhino, but thats an internal hammer with a external faux hammer. There aren't many striker DA/SAs, never heard of being able to wiener one manually.
Chiappa Rhino is probably what I was thinking of here
How much room would I need to shoot rabbit clays?
That's a relief. I guess he only knows what I show him.
W2 and student loans if you have them. You don't make enough for donations to matter. Trust me.
>seven hundred dollars to a firearms store
I don't have a job
There's no reason to go through your bank/cc statement when doing your taxes unless your dad is trying to see all the dumb shit you buy with his money
>I don't have a job
why are you filing taxes then?
Hahahaha no he won't know you bought a gun. If you made less than 3k don't even bother doing taxes. Or just pay your taxes every 2 years or something. Idk I'm always late because the money I pay in late fees is less than inflation so who gives a shit lmao
Tell him it's a gay sex toy store and the name is just a cover.
Get your priorities straight, son.
>90s/00s
...so not bolt force?
I think it fricking was Bolt Force, thanks Anon
I’ve got a holo sight I just mounted on a rifle, noticed after a range trip that some brass was hitting the bottom of the optic while I was dialing in the gas. Will this frick it up at all or is it just a cosmetic thing?
cosmetics only
Thanks anon, I think I’m going to stick some black tape on the bottom to see if that helps. It’s an SA58 if that matters, really likes to violently throw brass. I’d like to stick a magnifier on there so rail space is limited.
no. do it so you can jerk off while walking around on foggy/rainy days.
Got a few bros.

See Buffman range videos on the subject
I don't know if that is right...
>oh yeah, for sure *random name* is top tier
>check out *nonscientific infotainment provider* for *eceleb shill's paid promotion* to verify my feelings
>They have no NIJ 0101.06 Compliant Products Listing whatsoever.
It's a good meme. Also thanks bro someone else said cyclops but primary arms looks like the best way to go. I'd do an aimpoint and a canted rmr but shit that's like $1300+ just for some glorified red dots? I would only do that if I were a millionaire. So primary arms it is. Good job. Big dick/10
optic, PA 3x prism
>Gabageedler
You're right but they're all chinesium below 400ish so you might as well get the cheapest one of reliable quality and warranty. If you have astigmatism get a low mag prism from vortex or primary arms. If you realllly like the donut of death reticle get a holosun.
If you're cool with second hand stuff, you'll likely find some Eotechs, aimpoints, etc. at good prices on Tacswap
There's a lot of room in optics between $100 and $5-800
hey /k, i have several guns and someone i’m related to and currently live with went in to buy gun and at local shop. while filling out the forms to buy, they put “yes” to “ are you buying this firearm to commit a crime” like a dumbass. obviously they got denied but can go back tomorrow to try again.
do you think that will negatively effect me as we live together and are related in getting on a list or buying in the future?
Unless they're an actual felon then no, it shouldn't affect you.
i hope being dumb doesn’t into a felony charge.
thanks anon

If you had to choose a first range rifle would you choose a 10/22 or a bavaria cz457?
10/22 no question. everyone has one, massive aftermarket, and cozy cheap 22lr plinking goodness
What are some chest rig essentials that I should be purchasing? I live in a suburban area. I already have a map, flashlight, Leatherman, water, notebooks, tape and a basic first aid kit sorted.
How to remove tangodown grip with no tools?
Pull down on the little tabs and slide it off
Some guyus would wedge zipties into the little tabs to keep them open, I've always been able to just slide mine under hand pressure.
Looking to buy a buddy of mines rifle, we're residents of different states, but currently live in the same one for grad school, could we perform a transfer at a local FFL or would he have to ship it from an FFL in his home state to one in mine?
Are concealed carry bags and purses a meme? Is it better to just find a bag you like and sew some loop material inside it?
If you're confident in your sewing, or you can find something that just happens to have a good fitting compartment for your needs, yes. Tactical brands never look normal enough to be truly "concealed" imo. Most normies may not clock them for what they are, but they'll stand out as strange. And knowers will know.
Gun noob here.
No, just transfer at an FFL in your current state. If there's any reason why that wouldn't work that FFL will tell you.
Sounds pretty through. Factoring ammunition and magazines do you think it might be too busy with too much stuff?
457 by a mile. The 10/22 is more practical in terms of cost and availability of parts but the CZ 22s are just phenomenal. I highly recommend them for their superior quality and they just feel great to shoot without any mods necessary.
Of course you can't stick a BX-25 magazine in one and use it as a somewhat effective backup HD weapon, but that depends what you want the rifle to do.
6.5 grendel is worse than 280 british, why has 7mm nato not come back?
What gun might this be from and what part? I was tinkering with and disassembling AKs , ARs, a FAL, and a ruger American Predator and found this on the towel when I was putting everything away. I can't find where it is from. .128" diameter.
It's a roll pin, btw

They made one for the SA market where you had to pump the foregrip a bit so it would qualify as a pump action and not be regulated.
Any advice on how to best store my 22lr ammo? I currently just have my bricks in a .30 cal ammo box since the bricks are the right width, but I'm sure there's a "better" way to do it out there.
Like normal ammo, sealed away from harsh temp changes.
An aquaintance of mine has a problem mounting an aimpoint micro s 1 on his beneli nova due to a fricking arches on the rib
>pic related.
Any tips?
>Give someone grind q groove into the rib arch?
Is 8mm Mauser a dead meme cartridge for Europoors, or is it actually decent compared to more modern cartridges?
That seems fine. What's the problem?
Saiga 12 or VEPR-12. Both are banned from import and you need one in order to have any chance of winning in 3-gun so expect to get wallet raped.
What's a good gray man belt for conceal carrying? My current belt sags so much when I have my gun holstered
does this look cool
Not one bit. I don't think you could design the left half of the gun in a way that justifies the frickery in the right half, but refusing to try is the worst solution.
Yes but the laser is too big
>it's supposed to be too big
yeah but it's too big even for too big
Should have clarified that this is designed to be used by basically the equivalent of spartans from halo. The idea here was to combine the prototype LAM with the compensator, with a metal frame instead of a polymer one
Is that a 45 blast compensator?
magnum cartridge, I'm just using the mark23 as a basis for the design
I gotcha
high tech soldiers like spartans would definitely have their own tech on their helmets/armor instead of on the gun.
They would have IR or flashlights or night vision or thermals or whatever the absolute clusterfrick of a LAM unit that shit is already strapped to their fricking face and would most likely prefer to keep it out of the gun.
game takes place in the future but this particular gun is actually supposed to be an 'antique'
Anyone have any suggestioms for podcasts? I've been trying to listen to some at work, but most of them seem to talk more so about laws, concealed carry, and statistics about crime and shit. I want to listen about guns. The history and development about guns and etc...
