You can always go Soviet with some Lopushansky, although I can't say I'm a fan. There's an outstanding Yugoslavian bio-pandemic movie called Variola Vera that you can find on Youtube; it's not exactly pure apoc since it does not imply the end of the world but the atmosphere is there.
