ERAWA-1 is basically just RHA plates + TNT/TNT+RDX, pretty basic.
ERAWA 2 replaces RHA with high hardness steel and some ceramic material and has two layers to stop tandem projectiles. It stops all the usual HEAT threats and supposedly works great against "older" Russian APFSDS like Mango, so łike ~650 RHA, but is probably not that useful against modern long penetrators. You can look up patent documents yourself if you want to know more details.
There's also ERAWA 3 but I don't have any solid information on it apart from that it exists, but it's probably not even used right now.
The big thing was that Poles spent a lot of time custom fitting the blocks to their T-72s, so the coverage is much better compared to Russian ERA with very few gaps.
Notable is that Poles wanted really hard to put the blocks on their Leopards but Germans threw a fit over it, so we were robbed of the ERA-clad Leopard kino.

Unlike Russian tin can, Poland PT-91 is much superior in terms of hardware and modification. Polish didn't depending on unreliable Russian hardware instead they mix and match with East and West equipment to achieve MBTs that directly could give Abrahams or Leopard II a big bloody fight.
