I just don't know how Gaston nailed it perfectly on the first try. Ive done all sorts of modifications and added all sorts of doo-dads, and after all this time ive realized:
This is perfection. A bone stock Glock. I will not change a single thing about this gun. And thousands of rounds from now, she will be just as perfect as she is now, unfired.
Because you're 14. And ideally, you don't see peoples carry guns. Because they're concealed.
Regardless, I was more talking about the Glock design, rather than a Gen 1 17 specifically.
For example, I consider a beat up LE surplus Gen 2 22 to be equally as perfect. Which is why I carried one, and then later moved it to my car where it currently lives
At this point there are numerous other polymer-framed, striker-fired handguns that are equally reliable but often cost less or have made changes to the trigger or ergonomics that a lot of people consider improvements.
Personally I think the Glock factory sights are bad and I prefer a more vertical grip angle, but despite those I carry a g19 mostly because good holsters are a dime a dozen.
The closest competitor, in my view, is the Sig P365. Same MSRP of $499, same 10 round capacity, and roughly the same general form factor.
However, I find the Sig's grip to be too small, not in length, but in circumference. My fingernails, though trimmed, dig into the meat of my thumb because they wrap all the way around the gun.
The trigger is mushy, but worst of all its Sig. And im not giving my money to a Cohen.
>nailed it perfectly on the first try
I disagree, there have been some good improvements to the original. Dual recoil spring is better, locking block pin spreads the load on the frame, Gen 3 336 ejector is famous for erratic ejection so Gen4 ejector was also a worthy change. Gen4 grip texture is arguably better. Ive heard the slide lock springs can break so thats why they changed to a helical spring on Gen5s- yeah its a 5 dollar part but if it somehow fails when not taking the gun apart the gun is down.
>It just is.
This feeling is hard to describe to non-Glockgays. You either just get it, Glocks feel right to you, and you love them, or you don't.
>Ive done all sorts of modifications and added all sorts of doo-dads, and after all this time ive realized: >This is perfection. A bone stock Glock.
This, too. Glocks originally appealed to me because of the aftermarket, but over the years, I've found I really prefer the stock configuration over everything. The only change I make is swapping out the serrated trigger with an OEM smooth faced trigger (where necessary, not a problem on the Gen 5s. Shit was only ever in there for import points, anyway).

Indeed. I like the 33s for the simple fact that they're fricking rockets that spit flame and hate at anyone in a 10 foot cone in front of the muzzle. Though, im not entirely convinced of .357Sigs likelihood to continue existing.
But it is indeed the patricians choice. As is any Glock really.

Having the majority of my experience on Glocks from Gen 3s, I can't say I ever had any problems like you're mentioning.
Id also mention that I prefer both the Gen 3 RSA and grip texture over the Gen 4.
Is it me, or does the inner safety trigger on the 29 dig in more than the other Gen 4s? I compared it to the 40 MOS and they looked and felt completely different
Reminder to all you idiots keep shitting on Glock:
If youre shooting a Glock with aftermarket barrel, aftermarket trigger, aftermarket sights, aftermarket mags, aftermarket slide, aftermarket guiderod, modified trigger guard, aftermarket optic mount, or modified grips, you wouldnt understand how good a Glock is.
>Please level any criticism you can think of, and I will very carefully explain to you why you're moronic
Glock in general or specifically the G26?
G26 >grip is tiny
Half of my hand hangs off of the damn thing when I try to shoot. Sure, a short grip makes concealment easier, but it’s sucks to shoot >tiny barrel
At <3.5” 9mm is getting pretty close to .380 ACP but with a lot more muzzle flash and snappier recoil. It’s still a 9mm so not a huge deal, but still
Glock in general >shitty plastic sights prone to falling off
Replacements are ubiquitous, but they shouldn’t have to be. >no option for a barrel in 1/2x28 threads
Some people like shooting suppressed >trigger is mushy for the first several hundred rounds
Overwatch Precision sells what is essentially a NP3 plated OEM trigger and its every bit as reliable while managing to not feel like shit. Cope all you want, but good triggers help you shoot better >MOS is probably the worst optics mounting system for pistols
No, I don’t hate Glocks, but they’re far from perfect, and other guns do the same thing, arguably better
It doesn't suck to shoot, in fact I shoot very well, sometimes better than my G45 with RMR. Not alone in this either, competition shooters and even Hickok45 say the same thing >tiny barrel
This would be true regardless of brand. Kind of a moot point. Besides, I carry Federal HSTs so its extra moot >shitty plastic sights
I have never had any Glock sights fall off any of my Glocks. Not sure where that meme comes from. As for the picture, I quite like the ball in hoop, my only semi-criticism is that I wish they made that same pattern but glow in the dark. >no threaded barrel
sure, not on the 26, but most people are suppressing the bigger guns. Regardless, BasedlencerCo makes a threaded barrel for 26s and I don't think they're too expensive either >trigger
get good. I already shoot great as is, but if I really HAVE to improve the trigger on a Glock, ill polish it and mAYBE throw in a $20 Ghost connector if that >MOS
Its a great system, its just that SOME of the plates were shitty, so it got a bad reputation. Had a Glock RMR plate on my G45 for about 6500 rounds now, racking the slide on tables with the optic and everything, with not even so much as a POI shift. Way overblown problem
I have a Gen 4, the stock trigger is meh.
I like the 26 over the 19, for some reason I’m much more accurate with it.
Put a ZEV fulcrum in it recently and it’s now decent.
Still not as nice as a M92 Elite, but I’m not carrying one of those around with me.
>take pocket carry gun >give it a bunch of protrusions that make it a pain to pocket carry
also extra-small pistol dots like the scs and rmrcc suck ass, way too hard to find the dot in a hurry. the regular RMR is definitely the smallest you want to go.
The M&P 2.0 series is also worth your consideration. Cost less, werk better. I'm still a repugnant glockigger and I usually carry a VP9. The P-01 is probably CZ's best gun and the CZ75 itself was the handgun of this board due to it at one point being $300ish until about nine or ten years ago. Now it's reddit because I'm the only person that's been around longer than the election other than Burt it seems like and I'm just some anonymous homosexual.
Classic overcompensating fat frick, why the frick would anyone want a bulky ass firearm under their armpit? Oh you never leave the house, nevermind double Black person.
It would only be bulky if you were some tiny little shitskin mexican or pajeet. Thanks for outing yourself little guy

Nowadays there are plenty of other plastic is fantastic striker fired guns that offer the same level of quality and reliability as a glock for usually 2-3 hundreds dollars off. My gen 1 beretta apx was 320 dollars and it has had far less jams than my gen 4 g19
Just 1, she’s 3. One in the oven and one more planned so same as you eventually. Not that big of an L she was crazy and I’m an ass guy, breasts don’t do it for me.
Anyways sorry I called you a Mexican, you seem like a nice guy. Probably still a little fella though
Nice gun. Also you got 88 dubs twice in this thread. I forgive you. I am only 5'8" but my son luckily got decent height genes from his mom. He's turning five and he's already half as tall as me.
My favorite handgun since I was a kid. It's so beautiful. Especially the 19.

I agree, I actually sanded the trigger safety to make it more rounded so it'd stop giving me a blister

Amazing. Where did you find the helper blanket?
Dunno, my gf bought it for me for Christmas a couple years back.
If it's so great, why doesn't it fit in my ass?
The 26 is too fat for pocket carry unless you wear ugly people pants.

>Gl*ck
Humans have 5 fingers
>oh nyo, i cant fire a 9mm without all full grip!
If it's so "perfect" why not in .22TCM?
Kneel.
I'm really torn between a Glock 19 and a CZ P01, it will be the first gun I buy for myself and I plan to carry it, should I just go for the Glock?

you're about a year overdue for a clipping
>clearly doesn’t know the first thing about tree climbing

Ew
doesn’t feel as good, shoot as good, and is not as accurate as a 1911. if you can’t conceal carry a full size handgun, you missed the hgh train
shouldn't you be in bed right now, gramps? don't forget to take your medication in the morning
Sonny if I won’t hold a plastic gun I’m not getting microplastics from medicine
Can anyone recommend a shoulder holster for an m&p .380?
.380? Here ya go
Sorry I'm not fat enough to hide a larger weapon, porky.
