You will lose the war without an alternative, the war on the outcome of which depends on whether your rotten global empire and your metropolis, which is falling apart into hundreds of principalities at war with each other, will exist.
Why are you pissing off your winner who will determine how terrible your future will be? Do you want us to send weapons instead of food and doctors?

Blow some stuff up, idk. They should absolutely send more, though. Only 4 isn’t war-winning or even remotely impactful, no matter how well they perform.

If they keep blowing up a couple ammo depots a day then the impact will be immense.

If they have endless ammo. And target data. They can put 90kg of explosives within 3meters on 1000 targets per day.
Even if they just attack conscripts with them that's 10x the current casualty rate

it’s a tactical weapon for the ukies
striking high priority targets accurately behind the front

  4. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

well Americans will learn a great deal about the effectiveness of the system against russian defenses, and by association something about chinese defenses as well. That s the real reason were giving the Ukes all this shit, firstly to have it all field tested in hot environment against targets that shoot back and defend themselves. Secondly to fight a proxy war against russia that degrades their capability and gather data on their system and tactics in a cost effective way that costs basically no American lives, Just weapons and some money. We're doing to them what they did to us in Afghanistan and Iraq for the past two decades.

obviously four launchers isn't going to change the war but it will let the Ukrainians launch rockets at targets deep inside russian held territory and provide a prompt strike option for use when high value targets pop up suddenly.

Spot an ammo dump 40k behind the line, launch a volley of rockets at it.
Pick up a lot of radio traffic in an otherwise empty area, launch one of those TBMs at it.
4 launchers wont stop an army but its a real good tool for poking the bear in the eye.

Mate it doesn't matter how many launch platforms you have as long as you can keep them safe, the important thing is how many missiles they get.
If they have the ammo and the logistical capabilities, and know where the Russians are, they can take those four trucks and scoot around 24/7 shitting on Russians with pinpoint accuracy.

They seem to have enough drones for recon. Everything within a 52 mile radius is at risk of being hit.
They could surely use more than 4, but 4 are better than nothing.

The US gov shied away from giving them the ATACMS TBMs with 310km range because they believed Voronezh and Belgorod getting pulverized would be enough to make Monke hit the red button. There's also some unspoken agreement about not using the GMLRS rockets to hit targets in Russia itself.

For sure for the American and perhaps German ones, but the British ones sent have no limit on targets in Russia itself by the way.
They said in a press release before when they got other artillery after crowdsourcing the commonwealth for m777's any target in Russia is a viable target if it threatens Ukraine and they wont stop them from using weapons at targets across the border.

HIMARS is the most important weapon system Ukraine has. All those years of GMLRS spammer claiming that the HIMARS will be the premier combat vehicle of the 2020s turned out to be true. • 2 years ago
        Anonymous

Some guy who would make GMLRS/HIMARS praise threads. He would basically remind everyone that the US had a massive stockpile of GMLRS and Russia/China had no equivalent. He would make it known that Russia had extremely small numbers of guided rocketry and that GMLRS was going to play a major role in the 2020s. It absolutely infuriated Russian/Chinese posters but now it’s been proven

Yeah, considering the state of Russian army and their tactics 200 of those babies wit enough ammo could win the war for Ukraine with no other heavy weapon donations.

      >pff, it's just drone, nothing special
      >pff, it's just an advanced AT weapon we have failed to reverse-engineer for 30 years, nothing special
      >pff, it's just a few SP guns, nothing special
      >pff, look at this failed switchblade, ignore the bloody mess in the background
But the HIMARS has not yet been deployed and they're already crying about it, seeing it around every corner, blaming it for every single rocket strike.

They're using a jam-resistant version of GPS already in the US military.

This is a temporary measure as they're upgrading it to also be non-spoofable in addition to even better resistance to jamming.

US has the best electronics engineers in the world, they have not been idling while Russia started to come up with EW equipment.

      Anonymous

American GPS-guided munitions have a dirty little secret. They're actually INS-guided, with GPS assistance. You need accurate coordinates for the launch platform (GPS, INS, or a really good map with landmarks), and of course accurate coordinates for the target. With both, a US INS system is accurate to within ~20' at upwards of a hundred miles away... by itself. If the munition can receive GPS signals while in flight, accuracy improves to ~10'.

So, GPS is nice... but it's not strictly necessary. Contrast with Russia's INS-guided anti-ship missiles that they've been using for bombardment lately (because the radar is designed to pick up ships at sea, not land targets in clutter).

Tochka U is garbage. This might as well be science fiction in comparison.

Tochka is useful but not a power player like HIMARS are.
They need to keep firing their available tochka cache until they get all the western rockets to finish off Russian positions. Russia.

It's a good introduction to a system they will want to keep getting and using. Just as important, maybe more, is the propaganda factor that Russians are already concluding HIMARS is an unstoppable weapon which will always find its target. Never know when or where it will strike.

Judging from the hysteric screaming the "oh god why?" I'd say they help to put the fear of god into the vatniks hearts.
It's OSINT confirmed, ZSU has removed a giant Russian ammo dump and a large military base 4km away from it in a fashion that you can see comfortably from space.

Also they get 8 Himars from US and 7 MLRS from UK/Germany.

I don't understand this mentality of being shocked your men invading a country are shot at. It's like a liberal being upset that a black man was shot while holding up a bank.

Remember, Russia controls the media currently in their country. They did a full on foreign media blackout in the early days of the war so that only state-run media can run. Literally something North Korea or China would do so as to control the narrative. Currently said state-run media is STILL not even referring to this war as a "war". Nor is it reporting anywhere near proper death tolls or wounded to the public. People can PROBABLY still use VPN's and shit to actively seek out the truth online, but the majority are just going to side with whatever is most convenient for them.

It isn't even labelled as a war on fricking GRAVES, it is labelled as 'special military operation in Ukraine'.

I really hope Ukraine keeps receiving more western weapons and that it turns into a complete slaughter of the subhuman Russian slime, as they end up outranged and outgunned by vastly superior western tech. I really want this to turn into something completely one-sided.

When will butthurtbelters realize that one Western vehicle is the equivalent of 20 slav vehicles?

The US needs to stop KEKING and send the 500km range ammo. They need to hit ammo dumps inside Russia near the border

      >unironically posting this shit again, thinking we would have forgotten
Ironic that a vatnik would post under the name of a Brittish glowie, but I guess they can't spend 5 minutes without fantasizing about the Brits.
