One day I’ll visit Miami and larp as Sonny Crockett.
Would I, a white European, get into trouble for carrying in a shoulder holster while on ESTA?

But can you properly mimic Sonny's scumbag voice? If you can't, then what's the point?
I’ll make sure to practice it thoroughly beforehand
Be sure to take at least one opportunity to lean against your parked car, stare off into the sunset, and listen to "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" gently playing through your car radio.
>t.professional sleazecore enjoyer
Peak stuff, very nice.
playing dress up make believe is the whole goal. it's a humiliation ritual for homosexual slave-cattle noguns yuros.
Have you ever thought of LARPing as yourself?
Who wants to larp as a homosexual loser?
OP here, just to clarify:
>you've got to know the rules before you can break 'em. otherwise, it's no fun.
What he is doing in pic related is a crime if done to threaten or intimidate. Your weapon should not be on display unless incidental.
However, if he was carrying a fishing pole and in possession of a fishing license he is allowed to have his weapon on display (as long as he claimed to be coming or going from fishing.)
I’ve just read up on the open carry laws in Florida. seems pretty dumb but I would be concealing the gun. being a blazer, some people may still be able to catch a glimpse occasionally
Fun fact: Don Johnson took very well to firearms training by Jim Zubiena. Jim said that Don took to shooting like a fish to water and wound up being pretty damn proficient with his 10mm.
He's also an excellent car and boat operator
My understanding was that the bren ten used in the show was a .45 because they didn't have 10mm blanks.
It was, but he did livefire training with a 10mm. There is a montage in the episode One Way Ticket where he's firing live ammo (you can see when he reloads they're not blanks) out of a real Bren Ten that doesn't have the super high-chrome plate they put on the .45 blank model:
Pretty sure those are still blanks based on the lack of recoil. Miami Vice had such awesome music montages.
Might be blanks, to be fair. He's at least loading real ammo in the reload scenes. I did hear of Don training with a real 10mm though.
This show gave me unrealistic expectations for concealing a full size handgun with a shoulder holster. A vertical shoulder holster works, but that horizontal style leaves a massive bulge on my side every time unless I wear obviously oversized clothes. I'll have to rewatch a few episodes, but I imagine that Don Johnson was only wearing the shoulder holster for scenes where it shows him drawing his gun
Horizontal shoulder rigs are only useful for people so fat that they shouldn’t be a.lowed to carry guns or for guns so small that a shoulder holster is a joke for them.
Go with a vertical with a pivoting draw and you’re in much better shape.
I had an old Brauer Brothers vertical rig for a Smitty 586 with a 6” barrel and it would conceal under a sport coat.
Not that I ever tried to CC a hog leg that big, the holster just came with the gun. I bought it all from a LARPER shitbrain.

Lol are you me, have the same large 586 and have a vertical holster for it and it’s awesome but is a hog leg
Nope, you just have good taste in weaponry and an odd choice in holstery.
The shitbrain I bought the rig from was, I suspect, LARPING as a “Dirty Harry” wannabe.but was too broke-ass or too limp wristed to step up to a Model 29.
I had a buddy in the platoon that had the N frame .41 Magnum with a 4” pipe, and I will admit that it’s recoil, while manageable, was rather stout.
At the same time, and from the same shitbrain, I had bought an OG Ruger Deerslayer carbine in .44 Magnum, and despite what others have said, mine functioned quite well. Ain’t many problems under 100 yards that 5 rounds of .44 Manum rapidly fired and well-aimed from an 18” carbine barrel won’t solve in a pretty final manner.
tbh, I still kick myself for getting rid of both of those pieces.
>Would I, a white European, get into trouble for carrying in a shoulder holster while on ESTA?
Yeah. You can't open carry like in OP pic in Florida at all unless:
>You are hunting
>You are fishing
>You are camping (I think, this one might not be correct)
>You are on your way to or from these activities, and you may not make detours
What's the best vertical shoulder holster?
Vertical is gay. And any shoulder holster should be custom made. it’s the gentleman’s choice after all
vertical is acceptable ONLY for gats longer than a full size 1911. you wanna rock a deagle or a .454 or something else moronic like that, you got the right to carry it however you can stand to
>What's the best vertical shoulder holster?
Custom, and there are tons of good makers who can do all over the country it but it varies depending on whether you want leather or kydex. For leather in particular you might want to see if there is anyone "local" (within 4 hours or whatever you're willing to drive in a day) so you can be properly fit and such.
>Vertical is gay
>vertical is acceptable ONLY for gats longer than a full size 1911
I vertical shoulder holster carry my Maxim 9 (10.75" long), it's a comfy way to do so all day while not getting in the way of work or tool belts or whatever. Also pretty easy to conceal with a vest if I need to though CC doesn't really matter for most of my usage.
Barsony makes some good shit, as does Galco.
The Roto from Craft and the VHS from Galco and the copy of it that MASC makes.
Craft Holsters is a distributor. Falco is the name of the actual company that makes the Roto and I can't think of a single negative quality for it after 5 years of EDC.
Theres no way foreigners can just open carry around a city without any kind of permits, even in Florida. If you were a citizen, or maybe some kind of international bodyguard, you'd be fine assuming you don't flash it around pointlessly.
>Would I, a white European, get into trouble for carrying in a shoulder holster while on ESTA?
Yes, since it's illegal at the federal level according to ATF, for any alien to detain firearm or ammunition.
As far as I know, the exception they talking about is something like temporary hunting licence in Texas, for example.
thank god nobody cares on gun shows. literally just point at a gun and buy it
Lol good luck with that dummy. Not likely to happen.
Anon they just passed a law requiring vendors at gun shows to do a 4473 check, you're not getting a gun
ESTA isn't a non-immigrant visa, it's the waiver of need for a visa, you can buy firearms under an ESTA according to the ATF.

Does anyone know what qualifies as "has established residency"? I'm moving over under an F-1 later this year and I was under the impression that there would be no way for me to own funs outside of maybe a hunting exception.
I'm guessing it means permanent resident / GC holder?
just buy privately. unless you’re visiting a shit state, there won’t be any background checks, registrations or duty to inform.
California for about 5 years unfortunately.
It means a lawful permanent resident, someone who has moved to and lives in the US as their main domicile. A work or education visa does not qualify for that. I entered the US as a K-1 but wasn’t eligible for firearm ownership until I got my green card. I haven’t bought a gun since naturalising so I don’t know what mess that’s going to entail.
you have to go back
Go back where?
Thanks. Maybe once I get a GC afterwards.
>mfw i will never own a BrenTen as a yuropoor
Does gun broker not ship out of the u.s?
OHNONONONO
What a steal!
I always laugh at titles with *rare* and especially *rare and desired*
It sounds like some supreme cope that is typed out through tears as they try to get back the money that they blew on it while trying to fix their failing marrage.
fuuuuuuuuuug
Where the duck are you gonna get a Bren Ten, let alone as a yuro that can't buy funs?
>can’t buy guns
debunked. you can acquire a hunting license and then you’re g2g
Is he in blackface?
I was just thinking the same fricking thing Anon.
Dunno
Open carry is not permitted in Florida with a few exceptions such as on your own property or while hunting. You will have no property and you can't hunt inside Miami city limits.
Fun fact: Jim Zubiena taught both Johnson and Thomas to shoot and Johnson really took to it and was an excellent shot.
Thomas didn't like it at all, that's why they gave him that moronic shotgun.
>Fun fact: Jim Zubiena taught both Johnson and Thomas to shoot and Johnson really took to it and was an excellent shot.

Miami Vice is the absolute most absurd kino show to ever, and I mean ever, pass through transistors on the electric israelite
nothing even comes remotely close
I've been watching it a lot lately, and the first two seasons were perfect, but it really fell off in the third. I probably won't even watch the 4th or 5th seasons. But getting on Assetto Corsa VR after watching a few episodes and driving a Testarossa while listening to synth music is rad.
>but it really fell off in the third. I probably won't even watch the 4th or 5th season
absolute shit-plebe take, frickin peak /k/
3/4/5 are the dark kino, white ferrari era
1/2 are the fricking neon meme
Season 3 had a lot of good episodes, but the plots started getting more and more ridiculous. Like when Tubbs wins a vacation in a church raffle, but the entire raffle was a setup to lure him to an island of goons on a gangster's payroll. Or the one about Gina's mom getting killed in Cuba. Or the high-ranking DEA agent who has to mastermind several armed robberies because her federal government salary and federal government healthcare insurance won't cover her son's kidney treatment. It felt like they were really stretching for episode ideas in the second half of season 3, and I'm not interested in season 4 just because of the last episode with Crockett losing his memory and thinking he's his undercover alter-ego. That's not a cop show, that's soap opera shit. The Testarossa is great though.
Just bought the disk set (~91 hours of full show and other stuff) and the show is perfection. Absolute perfection down to the last detail. The cars, the guns, the clothes, the characters, the actors, the storyline, it’s all perfect. Mann is the literal Man for this Kino. First two seasons were perfect, onto the third now and love it, I can’t believe they had so many good actors in their prime in this show as characters even if for an episode. Also the music was incredible, Jan was visionary and a lot of the songs featured from amazing artists making that music literally the same time as the show was made. It’s possibly the greatest show ever and yes I’m a biased Floridaman. Bren Ten/Black Ferrari Daytona or Smith 645/White Ferrari Testarossa
>Black Ferrari Daytona
ackshullly, it was forest green
Huh learn something new
>Huh learn something new
and it wasnt even a "real" ferrari daytona spyder, it was a corvette with a body-kit, because ferrari thought the show would shit and make their brand look bad
lol by season 3
>pic related
was a "gift" from Ferarri
That’s actually hilarious and make me feel less bad it got blown up, and the change from all black testarossa to storm trooper white was amazing
>Mann is the literal Man for this Kino.
'Nuff said.
>Jim Zubiena
why drop the mag and eject the unspent round?
great episode, from a God-like show
Assassin leaving the weapon at the scene so there is nothing to tie him to the scene as well as telling investigators that they shouldn't bother looking.
Maybe, but keep in mind if you look like you're after trouble, someone's gonna take you up on that offer.
I fricking Hate that City
All you will find there:
Spoiled latinas deluding themselves that they are white girls by driving bimmers bought by daddy and acting like complete spoiled c**ts.
Coked up Russians / Israelis without women, on a night looking for a fight ( Look up Andy Warski stay back stream).
moronic Irl streamers looking for their minute of fame.
Easy muggings at night
A lot has changed / worsened since the days of the recession, when I used to lived over there.
That violent but laidback city you saw in the tv show is a relic of a bygone era like Potsdamer Platz before the war and the wall
Fun Fact Sonny Crockett's look was inspired by Duran Duran and early 80s Italian fashion.
OP HERE.
Stop derailing my thread and answer me:
Can I conceal carry legally in Miami while being on an ESTA ?
I don’t need to buy a gun, I can bring my own. Originally I planned on buying a Bren Ten in the US but they are almost as rare over there as they are here in yurop, so it’s whatever
You know the answer
Short answer: no
Other short answer: depends who you are asking
Third short answer: American law about this touchy subject is so unclear that literally any activity can be construed as a crime.
Approved solution: because you are not a rich Boi cop in 1980s Miami and sadly none of us are, you can alternatively go with an American technique: fugg da bolis and LARP it your way. If you're aren't causing problems and no one can see your fun then why in the world would questions of legality ever arise? Euro /k/ommando CCW isn't the worst thing going on in Miami.
Final advice: don't stay too long because entropy will ensure you have a run in with the wildlife at some point. LARP for a little while then retreat to white society. If something happens, run and hide. Do not go to the cops.
man that sounds horrible. I get the feeling our absolute worst euro cities would be considered a safe haven by most Americans
Post more Vice stuff
beautiful
Tubbs' shotgun looks like the blast is coming from below the double barrels.
> 3rd hole?
Recoil baby
I like my 4506.
Jealous, definitely want one, have a 6906 and a 915
Those are both dope as frick..something about SW gen 3s that just feels. ..right. I got this one with the original box. I think some boomer died and kids sold to to my lgs.
