Odds of a rifle getting lost of stolen when flying? I live about 2000 miles from home atm and like to go hunting with my dad every year, unfortunately all of my rifles are family heirlooms and irreplaceable. I’ve considered just taking a handgun stashed inside of a normal checked bag.
Yeah
>Odds of a rifle getting lost of stolen when flying?
100%
bro they fricking x-ray your checked baggage, they're going to find your handgun and then they're going to kill you
just buy one of those $400 single-shots from that one company to assuage your autism
you can declare firearms in checked bags provided they are in appropriate, locked containers. I’m not hiding a gun inside of my clothes
Apologies, I reread my original post and agree it was a bit misleading. I meant to say in a pelican case BUT within my normal checked baggage; I don’t really want to take a handgun though
me and another guy both misread your post and thought you were going to shove it in a carry-on or something but that's on us, not you
You didn't misspeak people are just moronic and have never left their home state or country. It's a known thing a "checked bag" is the one you drop off at the front desk and declare at "check in"
>you can declare firearms in checked bags
You cannot under any circumstances do that. I don’t know where you heard that, but you’re stupid for even entertaining the possibility that it’s true.
Yes you can you stupid fricking nig.
What does the third bullet say?
I've flown with guns many times. They haven't lost one yet. Just make sure it's unloaded and locked in a hard sided case, declare it, and fill out the card. They appear to take gun handling pretty seriously because if they have to call law enforcement for a missing gun it means half the airport grinds to a stand still and everyone gets yelled at by their boss.
You're fricking moronic.
nice, thanks for the info.
do you put these inside your luggage, or are they on the carousel/baggage claim?
Personally I've only ever flown with handguns so the container with a gun in it goes inside a larger luggage bag. The declaration form gets taped to the outside of the container with the gun in it so if TSA opens the bag they can see at a glance I declared the gun.
You can check a long gun case as a seperate piece of luggage just make sure the case is durable enough to survive the trip and properly locked. If you do check a gun case as a seperate piece of luggage they will make you out the declaration form inside the case since they don't want a giant orange "this box has a gun in it" sticker visible to anyone looking at the case
that sounds pretty good, I appreciate the advice
I went camping in a different state and flew. Wanted to bring a suitable carry for bears but only had one checked luggage as my friends had most of the stuff prepared and were there ahead of me. Locked hard pistol case went sandwiched between my clothes and I just had to open it up in front of the airline agent and put the orange tag I filled out on top of the case. The bag goes to oversized luggage rather than on the carousel when you're picking it up at your destination's baggage claim. They let you take it after they see your driver's license or passport.
Yes you fricking can
Did you read mine, that's what I said. Its just a pain in the ass to do that because some airports make you physically demonstrate that the gun is unloaded, but I mostly mentioned that to tell OP he's moronic, as no matter how well you stash a hard sided case inside of a normal suitcase, it still has to have a brightly colored tag on the outside of it to show that there's a firearm within.
Never had this level of security when ive flown with guns, but it'd be nice. Maybe it varies by airport? I can tell you at McGhee Tyson in Knoxville, Asheville Regional, Fort Lauderdale International, Denver International, and Boise Domestic, they just throw your shit on the carousel with everything else and you just wait there at the baggage claim to grab it.
This is correct. Tip for OP. Be sure to use anything other than TSA locks. I just use Masterlocks. To my knowledge, that changed because in 2015 some TSA Black folk did steal some firearms with their master keys. So now you not only are advised not to use TSA locks, but also you are responsible for ensuring that nobody apart from you has access to your keys. Not your wife, kids, anything. But who knows if/how they enforce that
Masterlocks are just as easy to open as TSA locks for anyone with the balls to actually steal a firearm. Try Paclock instead for American-made stuff that actually is secure
>Masterlocks are easy to open
I sense another Lockpicking Lawyer fan.
Try AssaAbloy locks. Truth be told, instead of picking a lock, agencies and thieves just cut them (or the storage box) if subtlety isn't required.
One thing about OP is if he's in Burgerland, why not just roadtrip the longarms in a car? You'll be with them all the time, even at a roach motel.
>One thing about OP is if he's in Burgerland, why not just roadtrip the longarms in a car?
the United States is large enough that this becomes impractical, if only for how many days it takes to complete such a trip. for illustration, OP's trip is pretty similar to driving from London to Istanbul.
op here, I fell asleep. I road tripped this in November. between hotels, gas, and the rental car, the trip cost about $3,000 compared to $450 for plane tickets. Its 26 hours of driving time one way; if it was 12 hours I wouldn’t even consider flying
...
That is two day's drive each way and even assuming you stay in the nicest hotel possible both times it doesn't explain
>T
H
>R
E
>E
thousand dollars for that one trip. Did you rent a Bentley for the drive? Be honest. Like, lay out exactly how long you took and what your expenses were. I need to know how to reach your level of skill in financial waste.
The problem with masterlock is honestly that they usually don't even NEED picking or destruction to be opened. And since they're so common, thieves know pretty well that they can just use a wave rake or a shim or whatever
Masterlocks are simply cheap Black person deterrents. Black folk don't know or care about picking locks. They just want to grab and go. Anything you want secured against actual professional theft you either alarm, secure in a building, or use one of those really good U bike locks that are unlockable and take 6 gorillion pounds of force to break.
>unlockable
*unpickable
I'm so moronic.
right, that is a good point. I’m taking your word that you know what you’re talking about. but yes I read conflicting information that stated the tag/label was on the outside of the hard case but inside the checked bag. And that the luggage tag was inconspicuous; again, I have no first hand experience with this. I also agree that any carrying out of policies varies by airport. I’d have to fly out of Phoenix or Tucson and I really don’t like either airport, Tucson is always understaffed and agitated
That could vary by airline, so you might wanna call them and ask before your flight. Or call the airport as well.
Ive never had my guns in suitcases, so I can't say for sure, but I have seen suitcases on the carousels with the same bright orange tag as what was on my hardcase, so I do believe the tag goes on the outermost container.
It would make sense from a logical perspective, I mean why bother with the tag in a bright color if its not visible to the baggage scanners/handlers/TSABlack folk?
that’s probably the first thing I should do honestly, just call the airports. but yeah, does make sense. Thanks.
thanks, not a bad idea but maybe I could instead leave my hunting rifle there if I can get it there. It’s not suited to hunting here, anyway.
No worries moron, safe travels
>thanks, not a bad idea but maybe I could instead leave my hunting rifle there if I can get it there. It’s not suited to hunting here, anyway.
Almost suggested that actually. Let's you continue to enjoy using a family heirloom with your family after all, rather than having it sit in a safe at home while you hunt with your dad using some plastic shitrifle.
>I’d have to fly out of Phoenix or Tucson
Oh, what a coincidence. I
have flown out of both airports with a firearm. They're both fine. Sky Harbor they wont even raise an eyebrow - there's so many mil/leo training facilities here they're used to it. Tucson airport is where I got the cranky b***h who gave me attitude but still did her job and the actual TSA guy was chill.
Just give yourself lots of time because you have to check your back at the actual counter in person.
>. I just use Masterlocks.
They only throw it on a carousel when it’s hidden inside of standard luggage. If it’s in a gun case and nothing else it gets Walked to the counter
Company specific. United throws EVERYTHING on the carrousel unless it has a hold tag or it physically cannot fit..
>I’ve considered just taking a handgun stashed inside of a normal checked bag
You’re going to take a handgun hunting? And you think you won’t get caught if you hide it on a carryon? That’s a felony and you will 100% get caught.
Pretty high. Due to inflation there has been an icreased amount of sky pirate attacks on airliners. Lots of luggage and personal belongings are being stolen. That’s why even in 9/11+23 we still have armed Air Marshals on flights.
Are you moronic?
Black person are you fricking fricktarded?
You can't just stash a firearm in a checked bag. All firearms have to be in a hard sided case with at least two locking points, and a lock on each point regardless of how many it has.
Theoretically you could stuff said case in a suitcase, but it'd be a hassle and you still have to declare it at the ticket counter, where they often ask you to open the case and show that the firearm is unloaded, that the mags are empty, and that the ammo is in its original packaging.
And even if you do all of that, your suitcase handle will still be marked by a big yellow or orange tag that says "FIREARM" on it.
Id put an Apple AirTag or something in it and take you chances, worst case scenario, some browned baggage handler or TSA agent steals it, after which you sue and use the money to buy an even better rifle.
>TSA agent steals it
It’s my understanding that they take firearm handling very seriously at airports. In addition to all relevant staff being aware that the firearm is on board the plane before it lands, an actual cop, not some TSA homosexual has to oversee its transfer from the plane to the airport and the cop is present when the owner takes possession of it.
half the people in this thread probably think you still need to be vaccinated to fly.
They have an attendant carry the pistol from the plane to oversized baggage desk. My only experience is Austin and Seatac. Losing a firearm in the bowels of an airport is kinda a big deal. Also there's 20k cameras watching everything.
>Odds of a rifle getting lost of stolen when flying?
Essentially zero. The TSA doesn't want to deal with the ATF, and the ATF is biting at the bit to absolutely frick over anything and everything to do with an airport.
If you check luggage, and make sure at checkin to tell them it's a rifle, you're practically assured it's going to get EXACTLY where its going and never get lost. I genuinely put in my luggage in a pelican with a pistol when I actually need it to get somewhere, because under no circumstances will they misplace it.
you can ship guns to yourself you know
I had not considered this, but i don’t have the highest faith in shipping companies. I understand I can these things insured but my primary hunting rifle (model 94 444 marlin) might be improbable to replace.
that sounds very reassuring; I have never flown with a firearm before and don’t fly often, but I hope this is the case. also a lot of good advice in this thread, so thanks. I just don’t want to spam quote everybody
Shipping can be tricky, as most of the major mail carriers don't want to accept firearms that aren't from FFLs. That said, I don't think you have to tell them what's in the box if you don't want to.
in case you just have cash sloshing around in your bank account you could use a security courier company
one or two armed guys drive the package all the way from A to B without any typical shipping processes, and it's just *your* package(s)
Handguns can only be shipped private courier and no private couriers will let you ship handguns with them unless it's FFL to FFL. Since an FFL can't release a handgun to someone without transferring it and they can't transfer a handgun to someone who's not a resident of the state they're in it means private people functionally cannot ship handguns to themsleves over long distances anymore. You have to fly with the gun.
Long guns are another story since you can ship those USPS. Just address the package to yourself at whatever address you'll be staying at and you're good.
idk what these morons ITT are talking about, you just have to declare it and follow the case rules (a strong hardside case like OP pic)
You do NOT need to use a TSA lock with firearms. You can slap a half-dozen heavy duty padlocks from different manufacturers on it if you want. So long as you've done your homework and declared the firearm (they will Xray it but not open it)
they actually tell you NOT to use a TSA lock with firearms
that won't stop chinks from selling them though
>this is the lockpickinglawyer and today we have a TSA Approved travel case lock
>As you can see, this lock is pretty shitty and will get you your piece stolen
I fly with a gun every time I visit my in-laws and have never had any problems. Like anons have said, the TSA take firearms seriously.
On the other hand, if the guns have that much sentimental value, I'd consider just buying a generic hunting rifle for those trips.
I have flown with a firearm on multiple occasions and as long as you follow the rules it's simple enough. The experience will vary depending on the airport, how accustomed they are to handling firearms, and occasionally by the particular employee you end up dealing with.
I have never had a serious problem. I had one rude, clearly hoplophobic desk girl. There's also a chance they'll take your checked firearm to the service desk instead of putting it on the baggage conveyor.
Anyway, like I said just follow the rules. Hardsided case, needs to be unloaded but CAN be packed with ammo, and you need a NON TSA lock. They will inspect the firearm and put paperwork in the case with it, then have you lock it.
I have flown with guns in a large case a dozen times with no issue. Declare it, have a good case, non-tsa locks, and you'll be fine
many thanks; I should have figured they would given the military installations. also seems like a very avid gun state. I definitely appreciate the help from everyone. I guess the horror stories get talked about more than when everything goes as it should
Use a bow and arrow
>OP clearly says checked bag
>morons think he means carry on
Have you guys never flown anywhere ever?
Never fly anywhere with anything irreplaceable
>won't fly with his object
>will board the plane with his body and life
What did anone mean by this?
Anon, do you fly by hiding in airfreight shipping crates?
Checked bags are in the same plane that you're in.
never heard of pickpockets before?
and even your carry-on luggage can be stolen, dipshit
not always, especially on long-hauls with layovers
and even then shit gets stolen or more commonly, damaged
This guy gets drunk in the terminal and leaves his bags unattended.
>I will always be with my bags all the time and 100% alert and my vigilance will surely stop all attempts at thievery
Deluded
Yes? What kind of moron leaves his carry on unattended? And what airports are you going to where you just get robbed in the terminal?
>What kind of moron leaves his carry on unattended?
Tell me more about how you're gonna watch your carryon in its overhead cabin every minute of your longhaul redeye, go on
None, fricko
And you're the dumbfrick who insists "I wuz watchin muh bags the whole time how could this happen!!1!" when clearly you weren't
You’re either a troll or you’ve never actually been on an airplane.
>no answer
Clearly I fly more than you people do.
I know more than you.
Oh, so it's a shill
>carryon theft has NEVER EVER HAPPENED
Physical or mental age of twelve
Stop getting drunk in the terminal and leaving your bag unattended, boomer.
>the only reason why you would be careful with your bags is because you're actually CARELESS AND DRUNK!!1!
Projecting.
>clothes and phone charger.
Not surprised you're unable to read, since you're also apparently unable to spell.
Also: https://news.yahoo.com/class-action-lawsuit-aims-force-190718303.html
What does someone suing over lost bags have to do with you being a moron who leaves his carry-on lying around?
Also, PROTIP: genuine lost baggage is actually pretty rare. Most of the time “lost” bags merely missed the flight or were accidentally loaded onto the wrong airplane. And since they’re scanned at every step, the airline generally knows where it’s at.
Bags are far more likely to be damaged by the baggage handler throwing your bag because you’re a giant fricking butthole who packed thirty pounds of shit for a two night stay.
Keep trying to spin your narrative; every post just makes you look more and more desperate
>Bags are far more likely to be damaged by the baggage handler
Also feeds into my point
>you’re a giant fricking butthole who packed thirty pounds of shit for a two night stay.
And more from the bullshit spin doctors
What exactly is your point? "Trust the system, nothing will happen to your baggage"? Nice.
You’re genuinely paranoid of something that rarely ever happens. And I’d stop phoneposting replies to your shitty bait if you weren’t constantly giving bad advice to people.
>You’re genuinely paranoid of something that rarely ever happens
It happens often enough that I wouldn't risk high value items and family heirlooms, but let's just call it that I'm more risk averse than you
<- this one is just being an ornery Black person
Schizo drunken boomer.
>Big Airline is out to get me for exposing the truth that I'm a senile old man who can't keep track of my own property
Schizophrenia
You are a careless drunken boomer who cannot keep track of their carry on bags.
>Oh, so it’s a shill
Yes anon, I’m the secret carry on their that stole your clothes and phone charger.
Boomer-tier situational awareness.
>Tell me more about how you're gonna watch your carryon in its overhead cabin
Oh yeah someone is totally going to steal my carton out of the overhead while we're 30,000 FEET IN THE FRICKING AIR
Holy shit you're dumb.
How many DUIs do you have?
This stupid Black person leaves his bags unattended at a fricking airport lmao. You are the person that PA announcement is for. I genuinely didn't realize people were this moronic.
If your guns are irreplaceable heirlooms you can stand the thought of losing, don't put them on plane. Buy a new one.
>Odds of a rifle getting lost of stolen when flying?
If you properly declare it? 0% as the company will get FRICKED if they lose a declared firearm.
I fly with rifles multiple times a year for hunting and shooting competitions and have never had any problems. Where are you flying out of? If it's Shitlanta or something like that, I could understand your concern.
I flew with my guns once. I had to buy a pelican and tsa approved locks. they were supposed to have been taken to a special claim area at my destination but the fricking mouthbreathers at the tsa threw them onto the carousel with all the other baggage. I'm lucky no one else stole them.
Everyone here is being very silly about what happens.
When I worked at Delta, when people would come to a ticket counter and declare a firearm, we’d have to make sure it’s a locked, hard side container. It would then print 2 bag tags, the regular one, and one that said “CAGPT” meaning you can’t just leave it around unattended.
When the planes coming in would have firearms, you’d have to have them set aside, and physically pick them up and bring them to the customer service desk. The customer would show some ID and we make sure it matches the itinerary, and we’d physically hand the bag to the person.
They don’t just go on baggage belts, and if it’s a firearm, since it was declared, we know exactly what was in there and it can’t be unaccounted for. Unironically the FBI and other 3 letter agencies will get involved if need be, since it’s interstate commerce.
This is corporate policy, not law. I've flown with both Delta and and United with guns. Delta checks guns as you described but United does not want any external identifying mark on the bag that indicates it has a gun inside. To that end it gets a regular bag tag and goes on the conveyor with all the other luggage. I don't know how American Airlines does it because they are a shitty airline and I will not fly with them.
Didn’t know that, just chiming in my first hand experience. Looks like Delta is the way to go if you actually plan to see your guns again.
ollam bailed on delta recently (for reasons unrelated to firearm handling). i'll be sure to get others' takes this year round defcon time.
i have no idea where this ollam dislike on /k/ comes from, other than some truly pol-tier level of petty griping about his choice to associate with karl kasarda (which is baffling to me, but i guess the kcuck gets him show passes).
my background is in /breaking things/. interacting with everyone if they're useful, up to and including true scum of the earth, is second nature. idc if ollam has gay politics. that's so far beneath the level of things that are real problems that it's insulting to have a conversation over
>20 minute ramble from oll*m
Yeah I’m not watching that. But I fly United for free because I work for them, I just have yet to check a firearm when I do it. And I haven’t flown Delta since I got laid off some 3+ years ago now, so my experience might be a bit outdated.
The TSA are antigun fed frickers and will purposely make you miss a flight if you bother them with having to check in a gun. Arrive an hour and a half earlier than you normally would if you're going to check a gun, these frickers play games.
There reason it takes extra time is because they have to get the TSA HAZMAT guy to clear your bag and most airports only have 1 or 2 of those on call. It's not conspiratorial it's just bureaucratic incompetence.
Checking a gun is the easiest shit ever, and the TSA handles it very seriously.
They wont lose a gun, because you could make a call to the destination fox affiliate, and have the media swarming the airstations with “MISSING GUN IN LOCAL AIRPORT” and whip up a nasty fricking frenzy real quick.
>t. Guy that flys with guns 4-6x annually.
deviant ollam flies regularly with guns for events/expos. he is a good source on the current state of TSA and airline shitfrickery.
Deviant Ollam could say the sky is blue and I’d still argue against him out of principle.
Please don’t give that homosexual any platform.
>I’ve considered just taking a handgun stashed inside of a normal checked bag.
I've never had trouble with it and I've flown several times with long guns and handguns.
It’s very easy to fly with guns. Put it in a tsa approved locked container. Don’t put ammo in the container. If the container is small enough you can put it in your suitcase. When you get to the airport, got to the desk and stare blankly at the worker. Wait 5 seconds and then boaster out “I’m claiming a firearm!” Don’t do that. Be completely normal and non sketchy and just inform them you have a firearm. They’ll look at it and give you a hand receipt. You then check your suitcase or container there and go to your flight. You pick up your gun at your destination. Easy.
There’s always the possibility of that but I’d say it’s low because that’s a felon and those bag workers are better off stealing non-pound-me-in-the-ass-prison items
Follow up. Don’t say “I have a gun” say “I’m claiming a firearm in my checked luggage”. You’ll spook someone if you say the other. Also, you’re completely fine to flirt with ammo in the factory box in your checked bag. Just can’t be in the locked container
I travel with loaded mags in the same case constantly. A coup,e times airline women who didn’t know better hassled me for it but it’s always flown
It depends on the airline. Some are okay with loaded mags, some aren’t.
TSA says ammo has to be in a "container designed to hold ammunition". This includes the fiber boxes the ammo comes from. I guess magazines are also a container designed to hold ammunition but i could see some airlines refusing it.
TSA has the caveat that they need covered so someone could make an issue of it in a mag since the first round is somewhat exposed but TSA in many airports have never cared from pistol to AR mags from phoenix, to Boise, to Las Vegas, Tennessee, Pittsburgh etc
I simply put my loaded mags inside of pic related then they can't b***h.
just buy a cheap hunting rifle you sperg
If you're that nervous, just drive.
>’ve considered just taking a handgun stashed inside of a normal checked bag
TSA will happily tell you that you can't fly like that and then refuse custody of the weapon, sending you home to put it back to miss your fight. Depending on how much trouble you give them, they'll just as happily call the cops to arrest you for the FEDERAL FRICKING OFFENSE of trying to take a handgun on a flight in your carry-on luggage. They'll laugh about you for a couple weeks and the fact that you lost your gun rights FOREVER because it's a fricking federal felony. Jesus fricking christ some people are moronic.
Wow you're a stupid Black person that can't read.
>verification not required
Unless you’re that senator in a wheelchair that tried to take a pistol through the checkpoint TWICE in which case you’d be fine.
>Odds of a rifle getting lost of stolen when flying?
While it's in the custody of the airline? Slim to none. Airlines take shipping guns very seriously since if they lose a gun while in transit it immediately becomes a federal issue since it's moving in interstate commerce.
While it's sitting on the luggage carousel? That's another story. If you're not confident that you'll be able to immediately make your way down to baggage claim after getting off your flight then fly with an airline where they hold bags with firearms in the special luggage claim section and require you to show ID to retrieve them. I believe Delta is one such airline as mentioned above.
Terrible idea. Airports don’t play with firearms going missing. I’ve flown many times with rifles, pistols etc. only once did a bag not show up at the turnstile immediately and southwest put all hands on deck to find it. Buy an apple airtag for added safety
Frick it. Time for an advice session.
If you’ve got something (non firearms obviously) that you cannot operate without (medicines, ID, keys, your favorite anime waifu figurine, whatever) TAKE IT IN YOUR GODDAMN CARRY-ON AND NOT YOUR CHECKED BAG YOU ILLITERATE FRICKING moron. I’m goddamn tired of boomers coming up to my counter crying because their bag got lost because they changed airplanes five times and airline thrice in one trip, and all their pills were in their checked bag. Or they can’t leave because their keys are lost.
Also, if you get told that your carry-on is too big to carry on, but you can’t check it, DON’T BE A FRICKING Black person AND JUST LEAVE IT IN THE BATHROOM. I don’t know WHY this is a thing recently, but I’m also goddamn tired of having to track down a cop to search a mysterious bag that was abandoned in the bathroom.
>Also, if you get told that your carry-on is too big to carry on, but you can’t check it, DON’T BE A FRICKING Black person AND JUST LEAVE IT IN THE BATHROOM. Open up the bag and dump the contents on the floor. Say it was like that when you found it, That way they don't have to do bomb protocol
near-zero.
Buy a weapon in your dads state and leave it at his house for when you want to go hunting.
also, thanks to everyone that has posted good advice in this thread. seems like everyone has good experience with delta, so I may choose to use them. Never flown with them before; typically fly American but do not like how they have changed since I first flew with them in 2015. additionally, I’ll call American and see what their policy is on handling the luggage.
I flew with that exact Pelican case
It was my first time flying with a gun
I flew with Delta too, guy at the counter was cool and helped me through everything
>Before the flight
>Make sure your gun is not loaded
>If you have a chamber flag, put it in to be safe, you might not need one but you don't want to be late to your flight because they fricked you over an orange flag
>Buy the TSA locks
I bought 2 TSA locks for the Pelican case.
I read that if you don't use the TSA locks and opt for a regular lock, they will still let it fly with you as checked baggage but may cut the lock, may or may not be true.
>Make sure your gun is not loaded
>Make sure there are no loose rounds in your baggage they will turn your case inside out to find casings or bullets, just be neat and clean and there will be no trouble.
>Things to read
https://www.tsa.gov/travel/transporting-firearms-and-ammunition
TSA has a good guide on how to transport firearms
However, read up on your airports policy on transporting firearms and then your airline service policy on transporting firearms too.
>At the airport
>Go to your airline
>Declare that you're traveling with baggage that has a firearm
>They'll give you tags to put on the baggage with the firearm, a fee, the funny orange card to fill out, and your regular flight ticket
I don't know if this part is for all airports, but I had to see a staff member in the airport where I opened my case and showed it was unloaded
If you don't know where this place is, ask the service member where you can find it, they want to help you not frick up and scan a gun in the X-RAY at TSA
>Get to the inspection area
>Prove you can open the case
>Show the gun is clear
>Lift any foam that could be hiding ammunition
>Staff gives the OK
>Put the orange card in the case with the gun
>They take the case and send it to baggage for you
>Continue to TSA for ID and bag check like normal
Ask for staff help if you don't know what do next. Do not catch a felony.
TSA specifically advices to NOT use TSA locks on gun cases. Luggage containing firearms must be cleared by TSA upon check-in and once cleared it will not be reopened while in the sterile side. They do not want anyone, least of all TSA employees (black people) having access to a gun in the sterile side of an airport.
I flew to escape California, if that helps, you might have a nicer time in another state.
Same happened to me, I waited 30 minutes for my case to roll out.
Frickers just left it on the floor next to the carousel the entire time, someone could have stolen it, they didn't do what
mentioned
My ass puckered tight thinking that I might have lost baggage that had a gun.
>lost of stolen
100%
it WILL happen
and if not those, completely broken
I fly several times a month for work, each time I've taken a gun and never had an issue.
since people are talking about airlines I have ocd and don't like taking my shoes off in public. is there a way to get on an airplane without having to take my shoes off now?
TSA precheck is literally that.
https://www.tsa.gov/precheck
You pay the government israelites 80 bucks and get fingerprinted at some 3rd party storefront and you get to go through a special line at security where they just wand you instead of having you take off your shoes and sending you through the cancer machine.
what about your carry on? does it go through the same xray machine as everyone else's shoes?
The TSA Precheck people are all segregated and get thier own checkpoint and xray machine so no.
I’m so fricking scared of flying bros
