What was with the mosins in the first couple months of the war?
They clearly didn't run out of AKs like some claimed, every mobik has had one in the months since. So why did we see these so early on?
Any word on their performance/employment other than the couple pictures that made the rounds?
SOVL
DPR/LPR got literal frickall and were most of the units getting this shit. The rapid depopulation of the male population of these areas and the mobilization of actual Russians is why we don't see them anymore.
Donbabwian and Lugandian human sacrifice units, that’s what. As you can guess, they’re goners by now.
Are there any DPR or LPR forces left?
Yes, they're part of the Russian military proper now. Pretty sure they're fighting off schweiner's counteroffensyiv
no
They exist, but the losses were replenished by Russian mobilized men.
Supposedly the meme republic commanders treat mobiks worse than Russian commanders treat their own men.
>Supposedly the meme republic commanders treat mobiks worse than Russian commanders treat their own men.
Do you think they might feel resentful about something?
No, it's just that the ones in charge are FSB hardliners, the Girkin's kind.
They got issued to the separatist paramilitary armies, they got wiped out in the first 10 months, hence why we don't see it anymore.
They've slowly been replaced by Russian mobilized reservists under separatist commanders due to heavy losses, like the Vietcong after 1968.
No, all mosins in RU reserves were converted to the sniper model decades ago is why they got scopes.
>No, all mosins in RU reserves were converted to the sniper model decades ago is why they got scopes.
I doubt it; the Russians were still exporting plain M91/30s to European markets as late as 2019. They made over 200,000 PU snipers during WW2 alone; they never needed to make more.
Sorry to change the subject, but the weird thing to me is how so many of the dudes fighting in 2014 were middle-aged fat guys. It's a 40+ crowd that's showing up to fight a war, and not that many of them relative to the size of the region (it's bigger than it looks on a map), so you'd have a single platoon of fat older guys holding a whole factory complex.
There were younger guys too but they just seemed like they were dipping out.
Russia (and all of the post-USSR states including Ukraine) have no young people because the USSR collapsing and the shitshow known as the 1990s for these countries. One of the big reasons why Monke started this war was Russia's future demographic collapse.
Like look how fricked Ukraine is.
Ukraine now has a stirring birth of the nation mythos to build a nationalist ethos upon. Russia is still trying to pick over the corpse of world War 2, a war they helped start for it's fake national ethos and the Russian people themselves don't even buy it.
Now show russian 2023 statistics.
With the way usa is like I am guessing we will all be getting a Ukrainian wives in the future.
We eating good incel bros
It will probably look better once all the people fleeing the country due to war return. If one of those two rebel groups are able to knock Poots off his throne and tell the West they beat the Bad Guy and restored order and peace to the world they might be able to save Russia themselves.
israelite statistics.
Amazing how they managed to write this meme in bluddy basterd b***h indian accent
>Amazing
are you crying 6 million bucha massacre?
Ah its the Nazi israelites schizo
Probably all dead or transferred to the actual Russia army.
they all died because they literally were just meat and had no artillery
Russia legally liberated DPR and LPR hence why there is no need of soldiers anymore so they all went home on their on power
Actually surprisingly yes. In that storm video from yesterday when they're sorting out corpses looking for 5.45, they mention that most are convicts, DNR or working class russians.
>most are convicts, DNR or working class russians.
Now non-working class Russians.
Can I get a link my brethren
Which vid?
>Are there any DPR or LPR forces left?
No.
Marksmen and rear line guys. Notice how the pics are either of scoped Mosins or guys at roadblocks?
Because Donbabwean lives don't matter
even if that mosin is a 2MOA rifle, thats still combat accurate out to 600 yards. old sniper rifle better than no sniper rifle
>muh sniper rifle
Dude. They armed whole platoons with 'em. And not a single scope in sight on most of those pictures.
>And not a single scope in sight on most of those pictures.
Can you provide examples of pictures without scopes? I've only seen photos of them with them - even that video where its a whole squad.
>And not a single scope in sight on most of those pictures.
scopes can give your position away by reflecting light
Test
Pretty sure the images were confirmed for being from 2014 not 2022.
remember durring the early days of the iraq war being used m16 a1's and flack jackets from the vietnam war, some people didn't even get boots some had boots with holes, we had to buy our own. Some people didn't even get body armour and some had grece guns
>be rearward cook or whatever
>be issued M16A1
>doesn't matter because you're a cook
>even if you get into a gunfight you still have a good rifle
>???
I'd rather go into combat with an M16A1 made before my dad was born than an AK-12.
Remember watching the news us military was lacking infantry so badly they put anyone in a humvee and send them in as infantry.
Can’t tell if you guys are joking but I know Arty guys and some other non-infantry MOS were going on Patrols.
Early days of the war back in the 2000s they lowered standards so anyone can go into the US Army cos they were hungry for men. It was one of the reasons Chelsea manning got in they let anyone in.
It was before the economic war machine spun up. Afghanistan was mostly handled by SOCOM and Airborne forces. It wasn't until 2003 Iraq did the war machine start to spin up above capacity.
These guys were DPR rear guard troops or something. I remember finding a good article about it. They were essentially meant to act as sentries guarding captured areas and checkpoints behind the lines to deter partisans.
Oh also I guess these dudes were almost 100% mobilized guys with little training. The whole idea was they could put all of they’re volunteers at the front and have these guys patrol around villages/parts of cities that were considered to be completely secure. The point was more deterrence than anything ie “don’t throw Molotov at the supply truck passing by or 55yo Ivan will shoot you with Mosin!”
Did it work? Honestly no idea
Russia basically deported internally and made disappear all "unfriendly" ukrainians in the meme republics, the only partisan activities that could place there would have to infiltrate from Ukraine proper.
Watched a lot of war footage from the Ukrainian it feels like theres no point in having infantry and having them sit in trenches or in any position let alone going in patrols. Most of the time it seems drones see the target, tanks men trucks defensive positions what ever. And just a few grenades or just mortar fire and they are just sitting ducks. Feel bad for them it feels so hopeless for them. Ukraine shouldn't ask for tanks or anything they should just ask for drones and artillery
You can't win a war by just grinding them with nades. Russia has too much manpower.
Is there a way to simulate a war. Have a bunch of artillery some mortars put in trucks like technical with just drones and maybe some scouts vs a big army. I wonder who would win.
"When the one with the rifle gets killed, the one who follows picks up the rifle and shoots!"
The one with the AK got killed. The one who followed picked it up.
Id rather get shot by an AK round then a Mosin round! At least you have a chance with x39
>They clearly didn't run out of AKs
Yeah they did what they issued were falling apart and covered with rust. They issued mosins because that's all they had to dish out to these morons.
>What was with the mosins in the first couple months of the war?
Sniping at 500+ meters which neither AK-74 nor 47 are suitable for.
>sniping
lol, lmao
It was all the weapons meme republics could dig out to arm with the moooobilized
>500+ meters with a 2 MOA mosin with a shitty PU scope while probabiy using ancient surplus ammo
Anon, are you moronic?
>he needs the scope
>he still cant make hits
sounds like a personal problem, cope.
commander of DNR unit responsible for guarding medias and supplies. DNR reserve. now helping with rebuilding South DNR.
Go kvetch somewhere else, you submissive cuck.
