quite the opposite. the question should be 'how can this thread support ukraine?" and the answer is, Ukraine needs every rifle it can get. Unbraced ar pistols are better than nothing and in the hands of a motivated Ukrainian can litter a field with dead russian conscripts
John here from New York oblast and I am now demoralize and realize the real enemy is not Russia but is federal guidelines for recreational shooting gears
I haven't personally shot AKs purely cheeked but it seems like it might be manageable with the right ammo
7.62x39 is weird because the recoil ranges from abysmal frick-you-and-your-shoulder with military loads to really comfortable with softer hunting stuff
if you padded the receiver cover it would probably be pretty comfy (if still snappy) with a soft loaded lightweight FMJ
I might try this next summer
I'll try to remember to post results if I end up doing it
What about a bullpup-like trigger linkage accessory that allows you to effectively shoulder the pic rail… would that be considered an sbr? You’re not adding a stock, and you could get around the VFG stipulation easily enough. The trigger would be shit, but I’m just wanting to kick around ideas of what’s possible within the law.
SRU already makes a bullpup scar attachment that should attach to a real SCAR
I've seen a guy on youtube use the same companies bullpup AK on a real AK and it handled flawlessly even with full auto
You just made a bullpup which is also subject to the 16' rule. That's why that Desert tech MDRX required an SBR tax stamp.
So the best thing would be just buying a 16' bullpip rifle which Its OAL is already the same as your regular SBRs
Because sling tension isn't nearly as stable, try cheek firing if you actually own any guns, it's only marginally more difficult than using a stock even without any practice
I bought a B&T TP9 because of Rhett's videos, love using it as a cheek pistol. Would still much rather use sling tension, which is also pretty damn stable if you do it right, if I was doing it with a SCAR instead of a TP9.
I don't seem to see anything other than a short where he looks at it more closely. This gun isn't direct blowback right, I don't know much about this gun? He blanket statements that any direct BB is a no go. He seems to think Mp5k variants are g2g except maybe having a rear butt plate extension. The TP9 looks even better/lighter/not as bulky as Mp5k variants.
It is not direct blowback. It uses a rotating barrel, kind of like a Beretta Px4 but with a telescoping bolt. I think he doesn't mentions it much since he's typical pretty budget conscious and it's a fricking $2,000+ pistol.
Yeah he was even saying the ptr was fringe because of budget. Ok thank, was just reading some reviews on it, looks like a lot of people hate this thing calling it gassy and horrible suppressed and hunting that tge recoil impulse is not great which makes me think sucks for cheek pistol.

I find it works really well for me. The only time I notice the gas is when I use it left handed... which is already kinda sketch for a cheek pistol anyway. Recoil isn't quite to roller delayed levels, but I wouldn't say its that far behind, much less than anything blowback. Best thing is it's a 9mm in the same basic size as a CP33, which puts it right on the line of "can conceal under a coat that doesn't look suspicious as hell" without going over.
Did you know assembling an illegal SBR is a tax violation, and the ATF can go after you for up to 6 years after the last known time you were not in compliance?
Just put a dildo on the gas tube and stick it in your mouth and be done with it already. Anyone who wants an AR "pistol" probably has plenty of experience with wieners in their mouth.
It's required for the operation of the gun, what did they want you to go out and buy a different buffer set to change how the gun functions? Why not make you buy a piston upper so there is nothing sticking out the back of your pistol?
110 days left or so. Also you're probably too young to remember this but cane tips were the OG and BATFE approved. You see it's so that the gun doesn't tip over when set down on the buffer tube muzzle up(ex on a rack, in a safe). Don't cut open a tennis ball and stick it on the end though, that's over the line. We'll see how the new rules go over in court first though, and that outlook isn't too good for the feds.
>In July 2022, he was appointed by President Joe Biden and confirmed by the Senate (48 - 46)
You may not have elected him, and the people you voted for may have lost the election (inb4 seething stolen election morons) but you did vote for the offices that appointed and confirmed him.
This whole thing is funny because it draws attention to the moronic abuse of the term "pistol" from the start.
Those ARs were not pistols aside from circumventing the ATF's moronic definition of a pistol vs. rifle. People then put something on their "pistols" that was 90% of a rifle stock, and used them as the rifles they are.
The whole thing is bureaucratic cringe of the highest order. Just shoot your guns and ignore the ATF, there's more citizens than ATF agents by a factor of 1,000.
you will never be rich enough to smell a pussy as good as hers. she's got some serious money behind her, look at that rifle - that wood and those those skeletonized hand-checkered buttstocks don't come cheap.
am i missing something or did the atf never actually publish their final rule yet, people were saying that last monday they would publish it and they still havent?
To shoot rifle rounds and benefit from sboulder control while still being somewhat concealable/maneuverable. Maybe you're doorkicking, maybe you just want armor/barrier penetration. Yes you lose out on long range accuracy, but we're talking closer quarters anyway. Yes you lose out on velocity too, unless you use the right loads mentioned earlier in the thread, but even still you're going to ballistically outperform any pistol round, and out-aim any pistol.
That's cool and all, but the fact is that the surface area on the gun was used to effectively "shoulder" it. The way I see it with that nebulous wording is indeed cheek pistol concept is the only real safe way immune from any sort of "got em" involving placing the gun against your shoulder/body.
>a thread about jacking off your ar15
bump limit here we come
It seems like a pretty good method for non braced AR's but this is just fricking hilarious.
>If you jack it off real good it'll unlock full auto
yeah heaven forbid if we don't have one more low effort ukraine propaganda thread
say no more senpai
Frick ya mudda
hello agent homosexual
every fricking time "frick ya mudda" is posted an agent pissed on the thread so he can find it in the archives for his reporting later.
lol theyre going to need all the "pistol-brace-adjacent" threads for some tuesday morning stand-up meeting
then add it to all the threads
downvoted, thread not about Ukraine.
quite the opposite. the question should be 'how can this thread support ukraine?" and the answer is, Ukraine needs every rifle it can get. Unbraced ar pistols are better than nothing and in the hands of a motivated Ukrainian can litter a field with dead russian conscripts
midwit take
we should be supporting both sides so the slav brother war results in erasure of any slavic threat in the modern era.
HAIL THE CCP
John here from New York oblast and I am now demoralize and realize the real enemy is not Russia but is federal guidelines for recreational shooting gears
Just shoulder one of those bufferless pistolas thingy majigy
?t=50
That seems jarring
I haven't personally shot AKs purely cheeked but it seems like it might be manageable with the right ammo

What a cheeki breeki
Well now i have an excuse to save up money to buy a Rattler
Why not just do the SAS sling thing?

Already been posted, they sold them in the 90s
SRU already makes a bullpup scar attachment that should attach to a real SCAR
I've seen a guy on youtube use the same companies bullpup AK on a real AK and it handled flawlessly even with full auto
I actually own the Scar Bullpup kit by SRU
It's fine quality, the trigger is kinda bad but so are most bullpup triggers
personally, i would have taken the GEP gun

I don’t believe you on that. Unless you can cite chapter and verse in the NFA, GCA, or an ATF rule.
Is bull pup defined as a legal category of firearm?
What I proposed is still a pistol (I’ll even say remove the original pistol grip).
As long as you can make an articulable case that the gun is still designed and intended to fire one handed, it’s a pistol still, no?
Why not just use sling tension like the SAS?
Because sling tension isn't nearly as stable, try cheek firing if you actually own any guns, it's only marginally more difficult than using a stock even without any practice

It’s stupid, especially for anything with recoil.
Or you could just realize that CQB shit with a rifle or a """pistol""" is a fricking meme and a waste of ammo.
Did you know assembling an illegal SBR is a tax violation, and the ATF can go after you for up to 6 years after the last known time you were not in compliance?
20 inch chads rise up
we are relevant again
pistolgays btfod
>not using a 26 inch barrel
I can hear the DZOINNNNG just by looking at the picture lol.
Sounds like a poor people problem.
Redpill me about the "silent" buffer springs. Are they worth it ?
No but if you want to piss money away and make your rifle heavier because you didn't want to oil your spring that's fine.
Oiling the spring doesn't really reduce the dzzinng sound.
Yes it does.
It won't remove it, mind you, but it turns a PWOOONG into a pwuuung
It does if you grease it.
Alright I'll try it. I was only slightly oiling it until now. The spring noise isn't a big deal anyway.
Question:
Are all short barreled bullpups defacto SBR cause of the shoulderable surface area on the end of the receiver?
As it happens, no.
How about we quit acting like pussies and just shoulder our SBRs
and frick the gAyTF
who care
eat shit
the future is to just hook your gun up to a pair of AR glasses and hipfire with pinpoint accuracy
Just put a dildo on the gas tube and stick it in your mouth and be done with it already. Anyone who wants an AR "pistol" probably has plenty of experience with wieners in their mouth.
Nice try fed, you don't get to be the only ones with cool guy short barrels
imagine complying with this pants-on-head moronic ruling.
itt: whinging homosexuals who don't live in TX, LA, or MS and can't own bump stocks.
Am I missing something? Just shoot like an african warlord, it's not that hard.
>Make extra long buffer tube
>shoulder that
Tell me why this wouldn't work
Probably the "surface area" wording without any quantified units because alphabet boys want to kill you and your dog.
That's called a rifle length receiver extension.
It's required for the operation of the gun, what did they want you to go out and buy a different buffer set to change how the gun functions? Why not make you buy a piston upper so there is nothing sticking out the back of your pistol?
> NOT A STOCK
Glad I got the confirmation there since I thought it was a deformed shark fin.
>tooth weld might become a real thing
I fricking love this timeline
110 days left or so. Also you're probably too young to remember this but cane tips were the OG and BATFE approved. citation please.
Can’t you guys just tell the GayTF to go frick themselves?
>Pistols
Frick I hate fricking Americans.
Don't hate us hate our Constitution hating overlords
>our Constitution hating overlords
Who are also americans, elected by other americans.
>elected
I sure as frick didn't vote for the current leader of the ATF
>In July 2022, he was appointed by President Joe Biden and confirmed by the Senate (48 - 46)
You may not have elected him, and the people you voted for may have lost the election (inb4 seething stolen election morons) but you did vote for the offices that appointed and confirmed him.
Just die in a fire already
>braces
Meme gimmick for memers

>ATF's moronic definition
No.
>I don't like bullpups because the chamber is right next to my face
there is no end to the eternal flip-flopping rationalizations of the gun world
I wonder what her pussy smells like
you will never be rich enough to smell a pussy as good as hers. she's got some serious money behind her, look at that rifle - that wood and those those skeletonized hand-checkered buttstocks don't come cheap.
She's less attractive than your average woman in community college kek pussy worship in the West is real
this looks so much like pic related
cheek your pistols goys AHAHAHA
am i missing something or did the atf never actually publish their final rule yet, people were saying that last monday they would publish it and they still havent?
Don't listen to anybody here talk about gun laws. Actually listen to experts or people who are in groups that have the knowledge on these topics.
Real good ergonomics right there huh, hit that clicky cap with the pinky is that the plan? Fricking stupid shit
if youre fricking doing that, you may as well be doing it with a 20 inch
but muh overall length
never seen the point in owning a rifle thats shorter than 16 inches of barrel length
To shoot rifle rounds and benefit from sboulder control while still being somewhat concealable/maneuverable. Maybe you're doorkicking, maybe you just want armor/barrier penetration. Oh, so it's for tactilarping and crime. Got it.
Doing crimes is a good thing
Why dont companies just start making their "back ends" and buffer tubes longer?
Just to frick with the ATF.
That way you can shoulder it easier, but it's not technically a brace or stock.
"Surface area" an undefined quantity of area is laid out in brace bullshit that could effectively make shouldering a buffer tube illegal lululul
Why not design a shoulder pad with an extension that meets or even mates with the backend of the "pistol".
Can't regulate clothing.
Shoelaces
now were thinking
