oh look, he is already too fricked up to read properly, as usual
Glock has a different locking geometry, different extractor, different takedown and the whole trigger/striker mechanism is something else entirely.
Beretta has the same locking mechanism, the trigger mechanism is essentially the same (minor rearrangement), different recoil spring placement, same takedown, same extractor, same safety, wider magazine.
if you take a P38, lengthen the slide, widen the magazine well and put the recoil spring underneath the barrel, you essentially have a Beretta 92. you can't make a Glock out of a Hi Power with so few changes.
Even James from tfb, a blatantly paid Beretta shill, has said "there are a few things I prefer on the older one" he wasn't man enough to say this new one is a leprous, gold plated deformed version of the old one.
yeah idk i dont get the criticism that X MANUFACTURER COPIED Y, all of them do that. Beretta innovation stopped for many years when the M9 was our service pistol but since losing that contract I hope we'll go back to a golden age of them trying weird shit like flip up barrels.
I haven’t owned (but have shot) their handguns but have alotnof experience with their auto, and over under shotguns they are very nice quality except the wood.
In the same price category between a beretta, browning, and Remington gas auto beretta will usually have the worse wood but is the best gun mechanically.
Same for beretta vs browning o/u st the same price point the beretta will have worse wood, but mechanically is equal while being less clunky than browning.
Not a beretta hater I shot a 682 most, and at time also a 391, 390, 302. At least 3000 rounds through each the 682 30,000 rounds. But the wood on them is not pretty and most have an ugly gloss. My 500$ Remington 1100 classic trap had way better wood than the 5000$ 682
> Take one of your staple guns, a classic full steel compact with over five decades of history > Completely destroy its design by changing the grip lines, trigger guard, beavertail. > Paint the frame in gold, the slide in black, and the barrel in bright chrome. > Change the grips for thinner ones, when the originals were already thin. Write BOX on them > Put a squarish golden rail on a slender, svelte pistol > "Optics ready" on a compact 380 acp straight blowback pistol.
I flat out refuse to believe there is a market for this kind of prank.
>Doomerism >on my /k/
Nah frick off it looks cool. Any true firearms-appreciator will instinctively collect Berettas. I've got a 92fs and this clapped out 96a1.
I also plan on getting a Bobcat, a Cheetah, and a m9a3, maybe a Langdon one day.
If beretta is good enough for Gadhafi its good enough for you.
Yes. Beretta seems to drop threaded barrels in batches on their websites and tons of israelites buy them to hoard and resell at 2x cost.
Beretta does huge sales at blackfriday and Christmas, and the start of hunting seasons. Like 50% off your entire order if you spend 1000 dollars. So these israelites buy 1000s dollars worth of threaded barrels, get them 100 dollars each and resell them for over 200 when beretta’s site sells out

Nuh uh the 92A1 uses a proprietary recoil assembly, slide and frame

LTT can cut the slide for a dot, and trigger upgrades are compatible so in practice they're basically the same thing

But you can’t just easily swap slides from guns, unless they’re also 92A1/96A1
This is just an autism thing. For the end user who only has one it’s basically the same thing except availability of parts may differ. Not like parts break often though. But I wonder if you have to replace the recoil spring as often as a normal 92/96

>But you can’t just easily swap slides from guns, unless they’re also 92A1/96A1
That's true, but you can swap between 9mm, .40S&W, and .357 sig if you care about that kind of thing. >But I wonder if you have to replace the recoil spring as often as a normal 92/96
I'm not sure but the A1 captive springs are available and if they ever dry up you can use normal 92 non-captive springs and guide rods.

M9, M9A1, M9A3, M9A4, 92FS all have compatible slides and mostly all guts. Why would you want a 92A1 or 96A1? Don't you like to swap slides with other guns randomly in airport bathrooms?

96A1 has a recoil buffer that seems to improve the shoot ability of .40 S&W both recoil and frame longevity wise.

You can use a 92fs recoil rod and spring in a 92a1. You have to take apart the rod assembly of the 92a1 and take the endcap and put it on the 92fs rod and then it assembles like a normal 92fs.
The thing I liked about the 92a1 the most was the fact the lock for the slide came on automatically when you put the slide back on.
Having used Berettas and Glocks side by side, there is no comparison. Glocks feel like infantile cheap as shit toys by comparison. Even the ergos on a Glock are fricking garbage, those disassembly nibs are fricking dogshit, feels like it's going to break just trying to take it down for cleaning.
I will say i had issues out the gate with oem extraction on this compact but once i swapped the sping and extractor it no longer was an issue. As cheap as glocks feel its one of the only brands ive had no issues out of, but thats anecdotal.
Not him but I am going to have to go ahead and say it is. It's somewhere between a duty gun and a race gun. It's perfect for those who like performance shooting, yet want something reliable and lighter more practical to carry.
I don't think you know what "Consoom" means. Buying ammo to feed my hobby isn't "consooming", but buying LATEST THING is. I don't go out and buy those dumbshit GBRS mounts just to flex, for example, but I do have mounts and risers for red dots, etc. etc.
It's a gay r*ddit meme from a gay r*ddit board that no longer exists, thus it's users all came here and demanded the rest of PrepHole adapt and become more like the r*ddit board they left.
Better control than a 9mm, a "large" .380 is still smaller than a midsized 9mm, and the Cheetah was already pretty big for its caliber. If you want mouse guns, buy a mouse gun.
The uprgrades here are: >rail >optic cut >custom tuned and adjustable trigger >improved feed angle for reliability and hollow point compatibility >thin grips >improved checking on front and back strap
>Not like this, Beretta sisters >Is it really the end? >Is Beretta really over?
What do you mean. Looks okay to me. When I was trained on the M9 it felt like I was holding a toaster but maybe it's okay that it's a toaster.
It's a fun, not a personal massaging device.
At first Toblerone slide was seem as qwirk mishap, at worse a playful excentricity, quickly corrected at that. But now that we see symptoms in full view, the only conclusion is that they gone full moron, they destroyed the Cheetah of all things
Why would you? Its a direct blowback and recoil will be higher than a similar sized 9mm. Ammo is more expensive and less powerful, the rails increase the size of the slide and the whole screwed on sights look like a botched afterthought. But be my guest.
That's what confuses me, I don't understand who this is for. With a light and and optic, it's going to be a big, heavy blowback .380 that is outclassed by guns half it's price.
What I would have really liked to see is a cheetah with the edges melted down a bit, a dewienerer, dovetailed sights with the option for night sights, a rounded trigger guard, thinner grips and a thinner frame, and maybe a Langdon trigger package down the road. That would offer something over the classic cheetah without moving into a space that's already occupied by better guns.
It’s for my wife. We are not poor and would not be caught dead with a rusty ruger .380. Looks and status matter to her more than functionality and value. The amount of ass pain this is causing poor people is a good sign that she will like it.
The saddest thing about mrc is he has been doing this for YEARS across /k/ and PrepHole. He thinks getting lots of (you)s somehow means he is “winning” or has got the best out of the situation. For the first few years I thought he was fricking annoying and hated the dude, tried to called him a dogfricker pedophile etc, but after you see him doing the same thing for years and years and years you just feel sorry and depressed that some dude actually behaves this way.
>seething and scared to even reply to me >no argument
this is gonna go on for another decade, remember that i said this 10 years from now, that is if you make it that far
it's the natural order, we play this game, the game is eternal
you can either play it or walk away, im afraid that i cannot walk away, i've been here too long
im here forever
It's almost like beretta wants their most popular model of handgun to stay relevant and not be relegated to banana-bunch handed freaks and US ex-mil guys who can't get past the 4 years they did sitting in a fob as an 1171 water dog.
It's okay James, I know it's you.
Please have someone from the TFB staff see if those folk from MARS are ever going to release their M19/Mustang/Orion/whatever-the-frick-they're-calling-it-now or if I should just give up at this point.
Thank you.
>"B-but it's a big bulky heavy .380 pistol!!" >"Why would they make a .380 ACP pistol this big?!"
ffs are you guys a fricking gay assweak or what? I carry this pic related piece of heavy steel which is also a .380 all day around without complaint and you guys are sperging out about a much more quality gun? >MSRP $999.00
Now that's the real problem.
They needed to make a pretty one because it's the ultimate woman gun, and instead they made a tactical one for a sophisticated end-user that's outside of the price range of the average buyer.
Make it in a couple of stylish configurations and every middle class suburban housewife who feels unsafe and wants a pretty gun that's easy to charge would buy one instead of a Sig p238/938.

I remember being on gun forums when I was 14 ranting about how crappy the jamomatic beretta 92 was and the army needed to bring back the 1911 at the time I hadn’t shot either one. I think I should buy a 92 ad reparations.
the italians take a lot of good ideas and make them better. They took walther and made their design sexier, they took noodles from the chinese(after removing the dog) and called it pasta, and greatest of all they took sex from the greeks and realized you could also have it with women.
Kek I just noticed this one cracked in the exact same spot as the p38, because they're literally the same gun and Beretta didn't even realize to make an improvement on that because they're moronic

Nah, it's because he's a lonely person. He has no friends, no family, no one whom he can talk to irl. He doesn't even have online friends so his coping mechanism is to stir up shit online to get people to notice him and to talk to him. A desperate attempt to feel the human warmth he always lacked.
pretty much.
this is his entertainment for the evening and usually weekends.
you can tell he gets pretty hammered because his reading comprehension goes out the window
what, drunk already?
you usually set aside time during the weekend to just hang around and make a big bunch of shitposts all at once for a big portion of the day.
no matter what fricked up passage of time you have, its the weekend for everyone else.
I for one like the FDE Beretta 80x. I think it looks nice. I'd only have complaints if it was replacing their mainline pistol but as a .380 carry gun I think it's unique and nice looking enough in its own right.
By the way, if anyone didn't know, the very first autoloading pistol Beretta ever made in 1915 shared most of the visual design features of the 92 20 years before the p38 existed. It had an ejection port and top ejection and was blowback, but aside from that it still has the exposed barrel design and the scalloping on the front of the slide and general shape. Then they came up with the model of 1923(pictured) that still has the safety on the frame and no locking mechanism but otherwise is clearly the grandpa of the 92 and was still made over 10 years before the p38. The 92 really is basically just this gun double stacked with a slide safety and locking mechanism. The fact that they happen to use a locking method similar to the p38 doesn't make it a knock off.
what the frick are you talking about

brutal, the p38 one looks better machined even its 80 years old and is probably
from better steel too
I noticed the same
Honestly, it looks like it's capable of stronger rounds. There's so much more meat to the design and it looks like it could handle .45 or even 10mm.
Except the P38 is notorious for cracked slides and broken locking blocks.
so a glock is a bhp clone?

But it makes absolutely no sense. They have racegun features to a compact, straight blowback 380. They even gave it the tacky flashy paintjob.
>FIRES WITHOUT MAGAZINE
What were they even thinking?
>cry beretta is just copying Germany
Beretta makes pic related , different, cool, accurate, functional
>cry it’s too different I’m scared
yeah idk i dont get the criticism that X MANUFACTURER COPIED Y, all of them do that.
What companies have better wood?
In the same price category between a beretta, browning, and Remington gas auto beretta will usually have the worse wood but is the best gun mechanically.
Same for beretta vs browning o/u st the same price point the beretta will have worse wood, but mechanically is equal while being less clunky than browning.
Not a beretta hater I shot a 682 most, and at time also a 391, 390, 302. At least 3000 rounds through each the 682 30,000 rounds. But the wood on them is not pretty and most have an ugly gloss. My 500$ Remington 1100 classic trap had way better wood than the 5000$ 682
>accurate
the rotating barrel does nothing for accuracy and it only helps with recoil on the .40 and .45
I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT BUT WHATEVER IT IS, IT IS NOT UNEXPECTED.
BigCunt has got to be the worst tripgay on PrepHole. Why is he even here? How does he find time to shit up a board in between fricking all those dogs?
> Take one of your staple guns, a classic full steel compact with over five decades of history
> Completely destroy its design by changing the grip lines, trigger guard, beavertail.
> Paint the frame in gold, the slide in black, and the barrel in bright chrome.
> Change the grips for thinner ones, when the originals were already thin. Write BOX on them
> Put a squarish golden rail on a slender, svelte pistol
> "Optics ready" on a compact 380 acp straight blowback pistol.
I flat out refuse to believe there is a market for this kind of prank.
>Furgay seething about Beretta in almost every thread
lmao
That homie can't buy an AR70/90, butcher it into some shitty build then post how he's a Beretta expert. It's their coping mechanism.
>Doomerism
>on my /k/
Nah frick off it looks cool. Any true firearms-appreciator will instinctively collect Berettas. I've got a 92fs and this clapped out 96a1.
I also plan on getting a Bobcat, a Cheetah, and a m9a3, maybe a Langdon one day.
If beretta is good enough for Gadhafi its good enough for you.
>I also plan on getting a Bobcat, a Cheetah
Ah, a Beretta collector at last. Beretta Are you planning on getting one of the used original Cheetahs or a brand new 80xhitBOX lmfao
Based 9Xa1 owner
What exact model/version of Beretta is this? I want those exact features (rail, mrds ready, dovetail sights, and non-manlet grip)
It's a 92A1 with a barsto barrel and an LTT optic cut
Thanks. I'd be able to drop in a threaded barrel, correct?
Yep. They were impossible to find last time I checked
So these israelites buy 1000s dollars worth of threaded barrels, get them 100 dollars each and resell them for over 200 when beretta’s site sells out
Oh so that's why Inox 92 threaded barrels have been perpetually OoS for years now.
This is the first thing when I saw this fricking gun. WHERE'S MY INOX THREADED BARREL YOU FRICKS?
I bought two (compact and fullsized) a few months ago, 100 to 120 bucks each with the sales. Just keep on the lookout.
LTT elite or 92A1 you send in to get cut.
Try a 92X with a wrap around grip, ask the LGS to see if they can install it if they have a display model
Mine's a 92A1 but an LTT elite is basically the same thing
I have started getting berettas and feel like the next generation of boomers and 1911
Having used Berettas and Glocks side by side, there is no comparison.
It's bound to happen. Soon veterans will shout TWO GULF WARS"
Be sure to get the full monty LTT with all the bells and whistles. It is possibly the GOAT 9mm combat handgun if not the GOAT handgun period.
Maybe you’re getting ahead of yourself here
Not him but I am going to have to go ahead and say it is. It's somewhere between a duty gun and a race gun. It's perfect for those who like performance shooting, yet want something reliable and lighter more practical to carry.
This new design (and production) will financially hurt the company.
frick off moron
Beretta has been americanized.
F
I don't like when you have to lose the rear sight to mount an optic
You fricking women will whine about anything.
>You will CONSOOOM
>You can't have preferences
Why are you like this
>CONSOOOM
saying this on a board where you need to spend money to enjoy it is moronic
I don't think you know what "Consoom" means. Buying ammo to feed my hobby isn't "consooming", but buying LATEST THING is. I don't go out and buy those dumbshit GBRS mounts just to flex, for example, but I do have mounts and risers for red dots, etc. etc.
>no true consoomer
It's a gay r*ddit meme from a gay r*ddit board that no longer exists, thus it's users all came here and demanded the rest of PrepHole adapt and become more like the r*ddit board they left.
ok
>updating the cheetah to doublestack
>this is a bad thing
>it'sover.jpg
whats the point of a large .380? please don't just say 'its comfy'
Better control than a 9mm, a "large" .380 is still smaller than a midsized 9mm, and the Cheetah was already pretty big for its caliber. If you want mouse guns, buy a mouse gun.
81 and 84 were always double stack
The uprgrades here are:
>rail
>optic cut
>custom tuned and adjustable trigger
>improved feed angle for reliability and hollow point compatibility
>thin grips
>improved checking on front and back strap
Also replaceable sights and front slide serrations
>Not like this, Beretta sisters
>Is it really the end?
>Is Beretta really over?
What do you mean. Looks okay to me. When I was trained on the M9 it felt like I was holding a toaster but maybe it's okay that it's a toaster.
It's a fun, not a personal massaging device.
>pic
she just got off the train of command
At first Toblerone slide was seem as qwirk mishap, at worse a playful excentricity, quickly corrected at that. But now that we see symptoms in full view, the only conclusion is that they gone full moron, they destroyed the Cheetah of all things
The old cheetahs still exist. If you like your cheetah, you can keep your cheetah.
I, on the other hand, will buy the modern cheetah that's suitable for carry in the 21st century.
Why would you? Its a direct blowback and recoil will be higher than a similar sized 9mm. Ammo is more expensive and less powerful, the rails increase the size of the slide and the whole screwed on sights look like a botched afterthought. But be my guest.
Will you get it in gold?
This is obviously a larp but a PPK in .32 would be a much better choice.
If only Walther would go back to making them in .32 the .380 version is shit
> TFW Beretta is NEVER over
I'm a huge Beretta fan (sadly though I can't possess or own a Beretta no more due to being a Felon).
What did you do
The saddest thing about mrc is he has been doing this for YEARS across /k/ and PrepHole. He thinks getting lots of (you)s somehow means he is “winning” or has got the best out of the situation. For the first few years I thought he was fricking annoying and hated the dude, tried to called him a dogfricker pedophile etc, but after you see him doing the same thing for years and years and years you just feel sorry and depressed that some dude actually behaves this way.
>seething and scared to even reply to me
>no argument
this is gonna go on for another decade, remember that i said this 10 years from now, that is if you make it that far
I hate it. I don't hate you. As far as I'm concerned I can agree or disagree with you just like any other Anon. But I hate the drama.
it's the natural order, we play this game, the game is eternal
you can either play it or walk away, im afraid that i cannot walk away, i've been here too long
im here forever
It's almost like beretta wants their most popular model of handgun to stay relevant and not be relegated to banana-bunch handed freaks and US ex-mil guys who can't get past the 4 years they did sitting in a fob as an 1171 water dog.
Damn them for finally updating it.
Captcha: WPGSHH
/k/ is becoming the next boomer forum
It really is
fricking have a nice day, you dumb Black person
That's not a 92
You posted this to the other two threads within minutes of each other... Are you James Reeves?
No I'm just a really big fan of his short shorts.
I'm a little gay for the guy myself, no homo.
It's okay James, I know it's you.
Please have someone from the TFB staff see if those folk from MARS are ever going to release their M19/Mustang/Orion/whatever-the-frick-they're-calling-it-now or if I should just give up at this point.
Thank you.
I don’t think anyone in the thread thought it was a 92.
A lot of people did
>ONE
>THOUSAND
>DOLLARYDOOS
wtf is Beretta smoking?
Good God.
>"B-but it's a big bulky heavy .380 pistol!!"
>"Why would they make a .380 ACP pistol this big?!"
ffs are you guys a fricking gay assweak or what? I carry this pic related piece of heavy steel which is also a .380 all day around without complaint and you guys are sperging out about a much more quality gun?
>MSRP $999.00
Now that's the real problem.
They needed to make a pretty one because it's the ultimate woman gun, and instead they made a tactical one for a sophisticated end-user that's outside of the price range of the average buyer.
Make it in a couple of stylish configurations and every middle class suburban housewife who feels unsafe and wants a pretty gun that's easy to charge would buy one instead of a Sig p238/938.
BigC is genuinely one of the gayest posters on this site and lives for derailing threads and attention whoring.
Best to ignore him, he thrives off of (you)s.
>BigC is genuinely one of the gayest posters on this site and lives for derailing threads
i never derail a thread, i always post on topic and i always post truth, because i don't post on topics that i don't have personal experience on
this of course causes seethe in people who are less knowledgeable, and them lashing out at me is what derails the thread
remember this, any time you see me post, my initial post will always be on topic and factual, every following post will be me replying to morons like you
you destroy threads, not me
its okay i kinda like it but i aint paying $999
I remember being on gun forums when I was 14 ranting about how crappy the jamomatic beretta 92 was and the army needed to bring back the 1911 at the time I hadn’t shot either one. I think I should buy a 92 ad reparations.
the italians take a lot of good ideas and make them better. They took walther and made their design sexier, they took noodles from the chinese(after removing the dog) and called it pasta, and greatest of all they took sex from the greeks and realized you could also have it with women.
BERETTA BROS
WHAT ARE THEY FRICKING DOING?!
Releasing new guns
I don't think it looks that bad tbh, but I miss the hump grip
Ok and?
Kek I just noticed this one cracked in the exact same spot as the p38, because they're literally the same gun and Beretta didn't even realize to make an improvement on that because they're moronic
Same exact fricking spot it cracked in
What a fricking joke
american consoomerism, it's clearly americans fault, why the frick else would it be half black and zion-war tan
Frame safety at last, Quite tempting.
But did they name it Xi?
as in roman numerals for 11, because it's SAO like a 1911
Why are people seething over this? Seems like a decent option. I'll pick one up in a few years when the kinks have been worked out.
It's honestly not bad, I'd buy one if it had the traditional grip shape instead of the straight grip.
Nah, it's because he's a lonely person. He has no friends, no family, no one whom he can talk to irl. He doesn't even have online friends so his coping mechanism is to stir up shit online to get people to notice him and to talk to him. A desperate attempt to feel the human warmth he always lacked.
Schizo poster thinks he knows me
Kek reply again
Seethe and cope
This
pretty much.
this is his entertainment for the evening and usually weekends.
you can tell he gets pretty hammered because his reading comprehension goes out the window
>and usually weekends
wat?
my weekends aren't weekends lol
fricking schizo fanfics can't even get the basics right
what, drunk already?
you usually set aside time during the weekend to just hang around and make a big bunch of shitposts all at once for a big portion of the day.
no matter what fricked up passage of time you have, its the weekend for everyone else.
I'm not drunk moron, I'm filling up with gas before me and my friend go off roading lol
Fricking schizo
I for one like the FDE Beretta 80x. I think it looks nice. I'd only have complaints if it was replacing their mainline pistol but as a .380 carry gun I think it's unique and nice looking enough in its own right.
He tripgays because no one would care about him otherwise, he'd be just another loner with mid life crisis at 25 toys.
The fact that they happen to use a locking method similar to the p38 doesn't make it a knock off.
>uses the same locking mechanism
>even cracks in the same place, because they're the same gun, a copy
Keep seething lol
I mind broke this dude, he thinks anons are me
Imagine seething so hard you continue to come back to a thread for DAYS just to anger reply to your detractors.
omg yeah, right, imagine being interested in reality and what is the truth. What a gay.
Trip on furgay
Can´t we all just agree that beretta destroyed the 80 series?
Yes and no. It's outdated but I still like it. Both the original and this revision.
At this point, Px4 is more aesthetically pleasing
I like Beretta’s stuff. My experience has been you het HK/FN quality without the brand tax.
These. Are actually good. PX4 was unfairly underrated.
This. Is an abomination.
