New home owner, I didn't ask what the hookups for the dryer looked like and found myself needing a 4 prong plug.

New home owner, I didn't ask what the hookups for the dryer looked like and found myself needing a 4 prong plug. I am not handy but when local electricians are charging 200 buck I decided to take matters into my own hands. A trip to Walmar, and a short YouTube video later, this is my results. I plugged it in and no fires broke out and now I feel a lot more confident doing other jobs around the new house

Good on you. My mom was away for the day and I watched some youtube videos and managed to make my own peanut butter sandwich without dying.

    Yay for us!

Link to vid pls? My wife is spending the night at her ex’s place, they’re just good friends now, and I’m thinking about PB&J for breakfast.

Still don't know how to do this. I wish I was joking. I just go in to jiffy lube and get an oil change whenever my tires look like they're starting to sag.

It takes like three minutes at any gas station tire pump. Just Google it

Don’t let others pop your bubble, you did a clean job and your new confidence is well earned.

That being said, a thread got archived so you could post this, which could’ve been a post in an existing thread. We don’t do that here, opening a thread just to ask for approval is frowned upon here.

go back after a week, and check tightness of your connections. They will probably still be tightn but better safe than sorry.

This was me around 1 year ago. Same damn problem. But in my case the goddamn electricians wanted a "call" instead of messaging so I took matters into my own hands. Well done OP.
