It was fairly interesting during the Cold War, nowadays they just update the insides a bit but it's second class. But any gun capable of launching more explosive love from Ukraine's munitions storage is welcome, I believe.

Pretty much answered own question here anon. The average conscriptavich or Putin enjoyer is extremely low IQ.

Because russians never had to actually WORK on their propaganda.
"RUSSIA IS GOOD, WEST IS BAD!" always worked on russian citizens because everyone who disagreed just got gulaged.com

        Anonymous

Historically, propaganda doesn't work so great on people with any level of intelligence. They have to target the thirty percent of the population that are absolute mouth-breathers.

          Anonymous

Propaganda works great on intelligent people, even historically. In the west they're simply pampered if they conform to the system ("if I don't do it, somebody else will" is a fairly common rationalization among the highly intelligent and moneyed), and in a place like Soviet Russia they are gulaged and their more gullible and manipulable peers made to forsake them. And in the west we also have phenomenons like this, they're usually just hidden within bureaucracies, nonconformism is shunned within most jobs for skilled people... lack of social recognition then leads to an eccentric that nobody cares about, or someone whose will was broken. And so on. So, it works indirectly, and very, very well.

I think it's a sort of truism that smart people expect to be smart all the time. Actually thinking things out is something that we rarely do, and there are good reasons as to why we rarely do it. There's a quote from Robert Sapolsky out there that pro Chess players can spend 6000 calories a day during tournaments.

Saturate people with a bunch of random emotionally compelling shit. Eventually something will dig into them. I think a lot of quirks of the culture war can be described as people being on guard as often as they are humanly able to be for this shit. And it still works.

        Anonymous

Yeah, that's exactly the audience. They can't convince anyone with a functioning brain who isn't already demoralized because no one would believe a Russian lie as they are too silly to be taken seriously. Even Russians now they are being bullshitted but they've been demoralized for centuries.

So, friends, hello, here with you online today is ugly old fat Leha, who
wants to talk to one of our members who, excuse me, has a triangular fricking face and everything. Well, on the subject of deanon and all that stuff being all bullshit, my face has been slipping up for a while now, so don't give a shit about deanons.

So the point of this whole video and what I'm making it for... I want to, you know, address Antosha's personality.
This is a message for you, for you personally, I have a gigantic request to you as someone who has lived, well, if not a third of his life, then maybe a little less. Would you please stop the idiocy and bullshit you're making. It's not funny anymore and it doesn't make you look good. You know, four-fifths of the posters piss on your fricking face, and you come and open your mouth and ask for "Pour me another," you can't do that, it's just unseemly, it's not politic or comical for a normal person, and in the end, at least have some respect for yourself.

Within a year, two, three, the winds of independence in your country will change direction, I guarantee you.

I'll give you my anus, as they say in our thread. And you'll be frantically hiding your frickin' anus
in a pile of pig shit in the backyard of your house and turn your back on your friends. Don't add to the list
of your sins, don't. Just don't come to our thread and don't piss your pig piss here.

Just frick off and keep your head down, will you? Your posturing is the posturing of a twelve year old. No one's interested.

Boring. Artillery is all pretty much the same. Gun goes boom, shell flies, what kind of shell is much more important than the gun that fired it. Differences are measured in rounds per minute, or time to scoot - but russia doesn't do counter battery fire well, and it turns out the max rounds that a piece can fire before breaking is just as important as the rounds per minute, maybe more so. And all those properties can easily and accurately be determined from testing.
Tanks on the other hand are used in direct opposition, where details about guns, armor, reload times, APS etc. actually matter. And you cannot tell without actual confrontation.

They tried really hard the first week or two the PzH2ks were in use and actually caught them once but it didn't do anything due to the armor.

Looks to me like it's something inbetween an archer and a boxer rch155. Has an autoloader with lower rate of fire, can optionally be loaded manually. Can apparently shoot without deploying stabilization but the manufacturer doesn't advertise it for that, so it may not be be doable with a full load. I think the time to shoot/time to depart are comparable to archer. So, as far as modern howitzers go it's not quite first class but perfectly serviceable, and potentially more bang for the buck too.

Fierce fighting continues in Pisky, Ukrainian defenders ask the General Staff for help: "There are no words to describe this hell"

Ukrainian defenders suffer heavy losses in the battles for the Sands.

Volodymyr Regesha, the commander of the "Santa" volunteer unit, writes about this on Facebook , Censor.NET informs .

"Sands... For more than 20 days we have been digging without orders. I have no words to describe this hell, to convey the full degree of despair, when the positions are crying out on the air for at least some kind of support. When enemy tanks, self-propelled guns, and anti-aircraft guns come out day after day to the same positions, we are being taken apart bluntly, they are rolling into concrete and asphalt not soldiers of the Armed Forces, but your sons, fathers, husbands, they are turning them into minced meat that cannot be taken out... And we cannot get them, "said the Ukrainian defender.

Tanks, combat jets, IFVs, attack choppers, SAMs, the fancy and very classified ISR and ECM gizmos for obvious reasons (unless there's black ops Ukie shit we'll never know until 20 years down the road)

The first two are the most notable omissions. A squadron of F-15s and all the ordnance they can sling would seriously tip the scale

          >US definately does with Abrams
it'll take time and money to spool up an Abrams refurb line, and also those are war reserves that would need replenishment. I think the US can probably afford to give away maybe 1,000 Abrams
          >as does the rest of NATO collectively with surplus to requirements Leopard 2s
Not true, they actually somehow have a Leo shortage, which is part of the reason the Koreans can sell the K2. I don't know the details of that story.

But it seems that Putin has drawn a line over sending NATO tanks to Ukraine.

How much commonality is there between German, Dutch, Canadian, Spanish, etc Lep2s?

Seems like the choice now facing NATO is whether Ukraine gets all the cast-off Leopards or Abrams. Leopard seems 'easier' geo-politically since it's a lot of countries giving some each, and doesn't directly involve the 'main adversary'.

I'm not a Brit or a Pole. The reason why German does not produced any large amount of tanks is because German defense companies are cucked by their government who refuses to sell their gear to "meanie" countries. As result people are buying gear from the USA/France/Israel/Korea/China/etc. instead of dealing with Germany.

One panzer brigade consists of one (1) panzer battalion, equipped with three (3) companies of Leopard 2 tanks for a total of 44 tanks. Since the Heer apparently can't guarantee the fielding of 44 tanks in 1 division, right here right now... yes, it seems that the Heer has only TWO (2) full scale Leopard 2 tank companies.

Mate, to be frank, I was going to be generous and just blame it on KMW. Heer dindu nuffin (yet) that one can factually fault without a doubt.

KMW just doesn't have the production capacity. That's why since the initial Russian invasion, with the exception of Hungary - for obvious reasons - no Leopards have been sold. All work is going to refurb Leos for the Heer, and other current users.

You don't maintain production capabilities your customers doesn't make use of.
Both rheinmetall and KMW however have all the expertise to ramp up production, and also develop new tanks on their own. And neither company is in danger of going under. Other nations outright fail at the development part already and have to buy foreign.

No mate, you are grasping at straws to cope with the fact your country doesn't even have a dormant tank industry, certainly not one that can develop cutting edge tanks on their own. You'll be forced to buy foreign in the future, be it korean or american or german.

                Neither.
The issue is mostly on the governmental level. Germany can ramp up its military and it's military production, but the SPD and Die Linke voters will scream themselves hoarse if it happens.

You think you'll just magically conjure up the workers with expertise that have long since left for the private sector? Just getting welders is a task these days, forget about optoelectronic technicians.

Judging by your attitude your nation is a host of anti-german racism and deserves zero german equipment. I can only laud our industry for accidentally doing something good there.

Best part of it how people meme about bad Russian logistics as they maintain a 1000km of frontline, while the strongest GayU nation can't even field 30 tanks for a mission and the other ones run out of weapons after a month of bombing Libya begging big daddy Murika to come save their failed venture.

            >TWO full scale armored vehicle companies
The Heer committed to fielding one (1) panzerdivision by 2027. One panzer division consists of two infantry and one (1) panzer brigade, picrel.

            But not three (3).

Relax. KMW can pick up the pace if the big acquisitions come in. MICs, especially Western ones, face a lot of risk investing into expanding production facilities. It only makes sense for them to do it when big buys are locked in. Western militaries frequently change project requirements and funding levels. KMW has some really good products and hopefully they can sell them in large numbers.

Imagine that fully auto gun system on an American truck ordered by the hundreds for the US Army to enhance rapid-deployment BCTs. Maybe placed on amphibious vehicles to fit into the Marine’s new force structure.

Slovakia is a funny country. Hungarians think Slovakia belongs to them, Czechia views them as dumb, poor Czechs interbred with Gypsies, and most of their women leave for work in Germany or other EU countries. A Slovak woman earns more serving beer during Oktoberfest in a week than they do as a doctor in Slovakia for a month. Slovaks want to be accepted as equals in Europe when they're just another group of Slav nanny's, toilet cleaners and minimum wage employees to Western Europe. Slovakia is completely dependent on Russia for its gas and the infrastructure it has was built during its Soviet occupation.

One thing for sure, if Russia's invasion of Ukraine overflows, Slovakia will be one of the first countries to fall and even though they are part of NATO and the EU, the west will let it happen the same way it did nothing in 1968. Sure, the west will take some Slovaks as refugees^h^h^h^h^h^h^h^h sex workers and change their facebook to stand with Slovakia just like Ukraine, while all their men die.

This war is critical for Putin. The West in Ukraine developing those major shale gas fields will cut him out of the European gas market. His super wealth and power structure is based on those gas sales. He narrowly evaded Chevron / Shell going in with his invasion of 2014. Ukraine signed the shale gas deal in November of 2013 -- and a few months later Russia invades. But that was a temporary solution. A Ukraine in the Western orbit is like a gun being held to Putin's head.

As the war is so important to him, he must be watching the MIC with an eagle eye now. He already conglomerated all of the Russian MIC under Rostec and placed a friend in charge of it. That means Putin has a direct line into basically every part of the Russian MIC via his friend. Will this mean that they'll be whipped into shape? With the FSB breathing down their necks now the opportunities for the usual embezzlement and theft must have mostly evaporated. Will that mean that their problems and bottlenecks will actually be solved? Is Putin now aggressively trying to get in the needed components from China, Iran, or whoever? I think there's a good chance this is happening and we'll start seeing newer and better gear being produced in the near future.

Of course I could be overestimating Putin's personal desire to flog the MIC and protect his circle of oligarchs? Guy's getting old, he's not in 100% health, etc. Is he going into the phase of not caring that much anymore? I have no idea.
