I really wonder which warhrad orientation is better for drones.
naturally the inclination is to mount them axially, but based on most videos the drones come in below 45°, so maybe mounting them upright would achieve a better fragmentation pattern.

That's an EFP not an airburst warhead
The "burst" part of the name is implicit of the explosion being designed to direct energy (and fragmentation) in all directions where and EFP is a directional warhead.

there are two warheads in OP's image.

Interesting they are going with EFPs because they'll need to be manually triggered at range which seems much harder for the operator than just ramming the target.
The upshot is short range jammers mounted to vehicles can be avoided but it's got to be a b***h trying to aim this thing at range.

      >which seems much harder for the operator than just ramming the target.
We need to ask pilot, but I think akshually firing EFP is easier. With ramming target you need to stay on line during semi random moment of impact. When during warhead you choose moment, you was able to line up crosshairs on target and you fire, without need to wait and hold aim that can be thrown off target because of dozen different reasons.

aiming is basically what you're doing by flying all the time
trigger can be with the middle finger on a switch
so triggering while the drone is 5-10 meters away is much easier than doing correction on the terminal approach

Maybe, it'll depend a lot on the controller setup. You'll want a button you can hig without releasing any controlls and the "light" button they have been using from dropper drones is often a bit of a b***h.

EFPs were developed by American oil companies a century ago for when/where drilling wasn't an option for one reason or another.

This might explain why some footage we've seen of Russian armour getting fricked super hard lately, the hamster cage of buckshot also looks extremely unpleasant to be around when it goes off
