      I couldn't find anything under RO-166A/UP or RC-166A/UP. Probably search engines being shit as usual.

        Best I can decipher the nomenclature with my references there is no RC so it would to me be a RO-166A/UP, the coding would be for a piece of supplemental equipment.

        RO = recorder
        166 = model 166
        A = first modification variant (like M16[[[A1]]])
        / = for use with
        U = general utility
        P = radar

        Or at least that's what comes out via AN/ prefix equipment code.

    Huh. One of the things that "popped up" was something about the MGM-166 LOSAT system.
    >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MGM-166_LOSAT
    >By the time the test program was finished it was obvious the Army was going to cancel LOSAT after the low-rate initial production (LRIP) batch of about 435 missiles was delivered.
    Anon, you may be sitting on a 40 year old piece of American military history.

    The case is an earlier version of:
    MIL-C-4150J, MILITARY SPECIFICATION: CASES, TRANSIT AND STORAGE, WATERPROOF AND WATER-VAPORPROOF (29 NOV 1989) [NO S/S DOCUMENT]., This specification establishes the requirements for rigid, reusable, fire moronant, waterproof and water-vaporproof, rectangular cases manufactured from ferrous or non-ferrous metals or non-metallic materials.

    Neat, lucky to find a good case like that anon. Found a multi million (or maybe 1-2b?) radar array taken to pieces in a junk yard once. Just the CRTs and related parts but the part/equipment tag was on the ground and I looked the contract number up IIRC. Crazy what you can find.
