Had an electrician install some ceiling lights and have these long metal nails that must have misfired and sticking out of the ceiling about 6 inches or so.
These are nails right? I'm probably just going to clip them since it's a pain to get into the crawlspace
Looks like incense. Try lighting it on fire.
We already have one abomination thread pal.
why dont you just call the fricking electrician back and tell him he fricked up and to fix this. what the frick... you dont let a trade/contractor get away with this shit.
Where the frick do get like 12" nails and drive them in straight and why would you for electrical. Wtf
Why would ceiling light installation result in nails coming from the ceiling and into the room?
Six inches?
And be rusted from age??
Have you tried just pulling them? It should just be a rod used to locate the top wall plate from the attic used to drill a hole into the wall cavity to fish wire through, the switch is on the wall right under it correct? Most electricians use something smaller but nonetheless they drill from the room and stick something up through the attic insulation. It's probably on you to caulk and paint the hole
do you like fishing sticks?
Can you pull it out? Maybe its an insulation support rod that the electrician stomped on. Not sure why it would be in the ceiling though.
Yup seems like this. Pulled right out
Better make sure those weren't structural nails.
