I will never buy a carbine length gas system on a 14.5"+ rifle again. But nothing wrong with Stag. Now get a GG&G Slick Thing so you can attach a light to the front sight base and you have a complete rifle.
Also, if you don't zero both your irons and your red dot, you are a complete poser gay.
>zero the red dot and then adjust the irons to match the red dot zero
That will get you close, but it will not be exact, especially at longer ranges. Again, don't be a poser homosexual. Confirm zero for red dot AND irons at 200 yards.
confirming the zero at range is not the same thing as also zeroing your irons. if your irons and your red dot aren't matching up, either you fricked something up or you're not closing your left eye when zeroing the red dot and it's doing that thing where it shifts a little bit. like with an acog at close range
That's correct in theory, but not in practice. I have never had a red dot and irons match up perfectly even after zeroing both at range (yes, with both eyes open). Also depends how you sight up on your target with the tip of your front post. Zero both you lazy nig.
Firstly, let me say on behalf of the entire gun community which I am elected to represent, congratulations and welcome brother. Please larp and fingerbang your AR all around your house. Good job on the mags too bro. And now as far as the rifle, ahem.
Nah. I have a Larue, a KE arms, a PSA build. Honestly even Anderson and PSA are totally good to go. Stag is fine. Don't listen to these gays who say otherwise. There are so many ars made that we've got it down to a science and it's honestly hard to make a POS at this point. The only truly shitty ars are in like the $400 price range and under.
It's not bad at 100 yds resting elbows on a bench. When I got that particular PRO it wouldn't hit paper at 25 yards. Pretty weird. It took like 30 clicks each way to get it on paper. The other one I have only took a few clicks.
This stag has about 4k rounds and has never malfunctioned. It eats everything. It's a good carbine. BUT, you will say, it's a stag so it must be shit. I don't think so.
making a thread and then another unprompted reply to preemptively argue with anonymous nobodies about how your gun totally isn't shit.
You don't need to be so insecure, Stag is fine. Not the greatest barrel but fine.
I would expect this kind of insecurity from a Bear Creek Arsenal owner with buyers remorse.
Calm down with the whole "you're gonna say it's shit huh? well it's not!" autism
I think you fricked up really badly. Great basic ARs start at $800, if you would have just saved up $300 more, you could have had a great rifle with lots of modern features. Bottom barrel rifles like that are only worth the money if you buy them in bulk with the intention of handing out to people... for what ever your needs may be. That's not a rifle you should be proud to own, not a rifle you can upgrade, it's not a rifle that will last you.
I got an $800 too, now I plan to sell it and upgrade after 3 years of honorable service.
So I paid $750 and a $25 transfer fee for that carbine in 2012. First thing was a MI buis, then Ergo grip, then PRO, finally SSA trigger. It's my favorite rifle, and worth the $1400 or so I've put into it. It's my SHTF rifle.
They are the best (read: only) for left hand ejection rifles.
Wish more guns had reversible or other options for lefties. That being said after 500 rounds I’ve had 0 jams after first cleaning in mine.
>tfw left eye left hand dominant
I just wanted to get into shooting to bros… >just deal with getting paying thousands for a platform that will constantly hit you with brass
No
You could've done worse. But your need to make it into a blog post makes both of you gay.
>16 inch barrel
>carbine gas
oof

unironically better than at least 50 percent of the rifles on arg
zero the red dot and then adjust the irons to match the red dot zero

Your rifle should be shooting at the same point regardless of which sight you're focusing on anon. This sounds like user error.
>SSA Trigger
A Subsaharan Trigger ?

How so?

wtf are you talking about?

Stag was just fine in 2012 as a basic entrance level ar. I modified mine to suit me. You seem like a homosexual of some sort.
The bill trigger is what makes it a piece of shit
It's not shit, it's a fine trigger. But I've gone with MBT-2s and ALG for other purposes.
>cast potmetal a la warpy william
No thank you
I have no bendy rails. You can't just impugn their triggers like some homosexual.

Post your basic b***h rifle
I don't post my collection, you gays are always quick to talk shit, about the smallest thing. Suck my dick.

Zion 15, now it's under $800. Very good basic rifle, with good features out of the box. Mine has over 3,000rounds and only steel ammo caused problems.

Not the ultimate barrel specs but it's fine.
Stag roll mark is kino too.

You a time traveler, OP? Can you take me back to 2005? NuPrepHole is gayer than AIDS.

Frick it, I'll settle for that.
