there is no such thing as multiple caliber rifles. its impossible to be able to shoot more than 1 caliber at 1 time

No fricking point. Especially in Finland where you need second set of permits for the second barrel.

Depends on the jurisdiction: the Netherlands for example allows practically infinite barrels as long as you can only make so many out of them at one time: five for sports shooting, six for hunters. Your 9x19 service pistol or .32 S&W ISSgay gun can use a .22 trainer kit, for short range your rifle can use .223 or 6mm but swap it to .308 for longer range stuff. That leaves more room on your permit for fun.

I don't see how this is different from switching the upper on an AR.

AR's are some of the easiest barrel swap systems out there, why anyone would bother with something other than upper swaps on a similar STANAG adapter is beyond me.

I get it in terms of something different, but yeah, the number of different calibers you can shoot with the same AR lower makes adoption of this an uphill battle.

So you can just buy whatever ammo you want, if they are out of 556 you can just grab a few boxes of 30-06 or 5 or 6 50cals hell even 20 guage. The multi caliber is the most versatile weapons it doesn't even matter what ammo you got it will shoot it.

I just want an XCR/ACR/Bren2 type rifle that’s not stupid expensive.
I know something like that wouldn’t be “muh just as good” but it would be fun to larp with.
