Its reasonable to assume that they hoard some of the better and heavier stuff for the summer offensive. It would be pitty if some of those staging areas were struck with atacms.
Motorcycles are mainstream. Already seen Puccians try to explain how much better they are because they don't trigger mines and outrun drones.
Just waiting for them to explain how bicycles are even better
>they don't trigger mines and outrun drones.
I know you don't believe that shit but it's worth noting that minefields are mixed, so you may not trigger the dedicated antitank mines but will trigger the antipersonnel ones. I'd rather take a dumb HE antitank mine in a T-72, lose a track, maybe get a concussion than run over an antipersonnel mine on a motorbike and lose both of my legs.
They've already used bicycles and motorcycles. It's just at the moment not enough soviet and chink junk was destroyed to make their use mainstream.

kino as frick. I mean it's very likely both are already dead by now and we gonna get an extremely funny clip in a few days about it, but still, pretty fricking cool
>Why is russia using so many MT-LBs?
probably desperate enough to push an artillery tractor into combat
>What was the main APC a year or two ago?
doctrinally, a motor rifle unit would have mixed BTR/BMP units while a mech unit would have all BMPs
the BTR being an APC to simply extend the mobility of a rifle unit and the BMP being an IFV to give the unit much more offensive power
the MT-LB was only really assigned to artillery units within the regiment, either organic or attached
on paper, even motor units should have been ditching the BTR in favor of all BMPs
but the russians seem desperate enough to push the MT-LB into service outside of artillery batteries
It used to be the BMP and BTR's that did a bit of the troop hauling up to the front, but there was still plenty of trucks full of gopniks and pidors blown up on the approaches 12 months ago.
That's a lot of civilian-grade shit out there getting junked
they gave at least enough of a frick to paint "Magyar, homosexual" in vodka runes on a road
Though their helpless rage at being destroyed by FPVs in and around Krynky has been entertaining as frick to watch
Well, back in the old days, of at least 3 years ago. There was a chance Russia was going to send out vast BTG's full of heavy and lighter armoured vehicles that would do mobile warfare >you can stop laughing now
But, in the event they did that because it would always be unwise to assume things, the ATGM was a pretty handy solution to that stuff. The NLAW and Jav's are still a pretty solid 'shit happened' backup plan for any infantry crew to have tucked away somewhere just in case

Ukrainian troops downright say ATGMs are one of the best weapons they have. The drones are just to scout and recon and to destroy abandoned or damaged vehiles or to support the use of artillery, mines and ATGMs. Dumb people who think a massive war like this is just FPV drone videos.
Kopeshillers: look Russia losing everything, they'll run out of stuff any day now
Reality: Russian advances every day, the ukriane oout of men, shells, hope.
The russian copevances are a pure strategical failure. The farms in Donetsk oblast are easy to take back and forth, but the wasted soviet stockpiles are irreplaceable for Russia.
It's kinda crazy that Russia really didn't have that many BTRs, but an absurd number of BTRs. At least with the US, that has way more Strykers than Bradleys
Its reasonable to assume that they hoard some of the better and heavier stuff for the summer offensive. It would be pitty if some of those staging areas were struck with atacms.
Russian jammers do work or else the carnage from these drones would be far more worse.

Coincidentally,
Here's a pic of the "Forward Control" variant of the Willys Jeep.
Russia’s ZIL and GAZ truck lineages after WWII are just Studebakers with different body types that slowly morphed into different vehicles over time. Same with their motorcycles but with BMWs.
Just saying. Ukrainians aren't in a better position in that regard. More so, they've been using M113's as IFV's for more than a year. Just put a forever jamming .50 Canik on top and pray.
M113 weights a bit more than MT-LB, M113 is made from aliminium alloy while MT-LB is made from Soviet steel, M113 in Ukraine get equiped with .50 cal for SOME anti-infantry armament. From that alone you can guess that M113 is superior to MT-LB in frontline duty
The M113 is vastly superior to the MTLB. If you say otherwise you're essentially broadcasting that you don't know the first thing about modern armored warfare. But let's not pretend that you're arguing in good faith here.
Because they have no sense of dignity or self-worth on their own merit, be it due to shit parenting, lack of any opportunity to really grow, whatever.
All their problems are caused by a bogeyman or conspiracy. All their triumphs are vicarious, from the triumphs of whoever they cast their lot in with - which was probably more of casting their lot against whatever is perceived to be mainstream or popular out of spite.
It is, significantly. I'm pretty sure it can actually withstand HMG rounds to the sides, and it's been successfully adapted into an AD, infantry support, mortar-carrying, TOW-having, command vehicle, casevac vehicle, etc. at one point or another.
There's newer and better options for both, but I'd certainly take M113s over MT-LBs if I had to choose between the two.
Bruh, just fricking believe me, it can't withstand shit. And it fricking brakes all the time. The back hatch doesn't close on some units because the oil overheats, it's a voodoo dance with a tambourine to make it work.
>they don't want to waste BMP's
at this point in the war the Russians have very clearly demonstrated that if they're not using something, it's because they've almost run out or can't get it to the front in time, not because they "don't want to waste" it
>loafs
It's a nickname for the vaguely loaf-shaped UAZ-452 "Bukhanka" 4WD van and various derivatives that were developed since the 1950s.
Like most Soviet vehicles, the handling is crap and the engine is absolute shit. It drinks oil and fuel like crazy, and can overheat trying to keep the vehicle going at 100 kph / 65 mph.
But it's still a body-on-frame 4WD vehicle. Fairly capable off-road (or on rural Russian roads, which are about the same thing), which is probably why they're using them in these conditions.
In about 2 weeks Russia will be out of vehicles, right? You do realize they produce them faster because they have an actual war economy because they have an efficient leadership and not some bureaucratic nightmare with 9001 votes and elections and corruption first before maybe 1 tank gets made and the rest ends up on some "trannies in the military" fund because leftist globo homosexual politicians who don't care about their own people decide instead of actual leaders. We are just so slow and inefficient compared to their well oiled machine. If Russia wanted WW3 we would collapse immediately.
Im just one concerned citizen of America and we should maybe look what Russia is doing better so we can improve and catch up again because I don't want to lose.

How long until Russians start to use bicycles?
Gotta steal enough for everyone first.
They've already used bicycles and motorcycles. It's just at the moment not enough soviet and chink junk was destroyed to make their use mainstream.

Fair enough

Bicycles are for wectern gays and troons

oh hey, the Desertcrosses again
every time i see a Krab being destroyed im sad : (
Now THAT is a good ratio

Thanks all, I think I can see where the name comes from.
Buchanka
Guys, at least post the correct pictcha
a lot of these civilian car type loses are from Krynky. russians really don't give a frick about what's happening there anymore
they gave at least enough of a frick to paint "Magyar, homosexual" in vodka runes on a road

>it's all fpv drones
ATGMs truly lost
>>it's all fpv drones
Drones and mines*
But yeah, ATGMs are not the tool for this kind of attrition warfare with 1000+ km wide mostly static fronts.
Well, back in the old days, of at least 3 years ago. There was a chance Russia was going to send out vast BTG's full of heavy and lighter armoured vehicles that would do mobile warfare

ATGMs destroy turtle tanks with huge EW

According to Ukrainians drones account for 70% of Russian armored losses
Source?
Kopeshillers: look Russia losing everything, they'll run out of stuff any day now
Reality: Russian advances every day, the ukriane oout of men, shells, hope.
It‘s weird they advance every day but they never seem to get any closer.
Just 2 more weeks, 2 million dead ziggers, and the fields of Donbabwe will be ours
Two days to day 800 of the two day operation isn't it?
I think we're up to about 798, 99
Day 800 is tomorrow.
Someone should throw them a party and an ATACMS or 3 like they did yesterday
They seemed to like that, everyone showed up
800 days of eyebrow raising
>2 million dead ziggers
Pidors can afford it
Not really with their already collapsing demographics.
They've been out of men for 2 whole years, homosexual, get your facts straight. It's all clones of bioweapon Boris Johnson now.
Here's a riddle for you what advances and advances but never gets anywhere
>Reality: Russian advances every day
>just two (+1526) more weeks (to finish capturing the Donetsk Oblast)
The russian copevances are a pure strategical failure. The farms in Donetsk oblast are easy to take back and forth, but the wasted soviet stockpiles are irreplaceable for Russia.
sshh, don't tell them that the cities they flattened won't work as defensive positions, we aren't at that part of the script yet
>sshh
Come on like nobody knows how exactly the Germany has lost the WW1.
you don't actually think these people know anything about warfare, do you anon?
It's kinda crazy that Russia really didn't have that many BTRs, but an absurd number of BTRs. At least with the US, that has way more Strykers than Bradleys
5: UNKNOWN, BMP, ONE THOUSAND
Its reasonable to assume that they hoard some of the better and heavier stuff for the summer offensive. It would be pitty if some of those staging areas were struck with atacms.
Sorry, there is just no good stuff left. They are even running out of old crap.
Jesus FRICK fpv drones are a fricking nightmare. Even Puccki jammers don't do jack shit. This is even before the US aid hit full swing. Clown war.
Russian jammers do work or else the carnage from these drones would be far more worse.

Not even UFOs are safe from FPV drones.
>Why is russia using so many MT-LBs?
There was a ton of them available
As if an M113 is any better.

Why do you NPCs behave like this?

I got to ride inside those shitboxes so you're kind of right.
Ukraine and western countries don't use M113s to assault prepared positions in endless waves
>Ukraine and western countries don't use M113s to assault prepared positions
Lol
It is.
It's what they have that runs. Battlefield taxi. Might be that they don't want to waste BMP's ferrying mobiks to die.
>they don't want to waste BMP's

What would the difference be? They are already at a war economy and using all soviet stockpiles the possibly can.
true, there is nothing else they could do
