I need to move these rocks by hand, with no car or spending any money.
How can I do that?
Oh, and the distance is 10 kilometers.

I'm building a cabin in the woods and the challenge is to do it by myself, by hand, and for free.

split em with wedges and carry the pieces in a wheelbarrow
How easy is it to split literal rock or shape it with a chisel?
Pretty sure it's doable with wedges hammered into it to form a crack, you would need to seek a recourse on the specific technique, I know they have a method for it. But yeah you just need wedges and a hammer.
This is the way. Assuming you don't have power, get a battery operated hammer drill. Also a set of feathers and wedges. Drill holes along the break line, drop in feathers. Hammer each a strike or two until it cracks. Repeat until you can move it.
dills cost money - feather wedges cost money , its in the wood so no power damn your stupid ,
Your next option is fire. Start a fire around each stone and feed it. The stone will get hot and break or become easy to break with a sledge hammer. If you can't make fire, you're too damn dumb to be working outdoors.

>build yourself a strong pallet with wood you find in the forest
>gather all rocks you want on the side of the highway
>strap these rocks onto the pallet
>hitch a ride with a trucker, wear knee caps if necessary
you can build a cage with rebar wires if you have a little bit of money or find some for free on craigslist
most reasonable answer
Cabins are made of wood from 10' away.
Obviously you've never hand-built a cabin with one-ton boulders you carried from ten kilometers away.
I built a cabin using 1.5 ton boulder that was 25km in the woods. Its not impossible if you know what you are doing.
Start an urban legend that says the first person to move the magical stones 10 kilometers away will find the mysterious pirate treasure map. After stones are moved, magically find a "treasure map" for them
Use a sledge in winter.
Stone boat and some sort of draft animal. Or, you know, find rocks that aren't miles away.
these rocks are special, they are married to the op
OP here. That area has rocks that are already perfectly shaped to make the foundation for my log cabin. And they're nobody's
They belong to whoever owns the land.
Doesn't matter anyway, you won't do it.
There's a good chance you won't even remember it when you sober up.
>Doesn't matter anyway, you won't do it.
/diy/: Doesn't matter anyway, you won't do it.
sums up this board pretty nicely
And accurately. Setting absurd preconditions ensures YWNDI.
How dare you, I will NEVER be sober.
>10km
Canada or Europe?
>That area has rocks that are already perfectly shaped to make the foundation for my log cabin.

Forget it. Use material within 500m of where you want to build. 1km if it's someshing small and easy to transport like rocks up to 10kg. Don't work yourself to death
>with no car or spending any money
so you can't even go and buy a hatchet to knock down the trees that are all over your rocks?
Someone leaves you perfect building material and you want to move them.
Clean the rest of the shit and figure out how to build something with those rocks. Split them, move them around with a long pole for leverage etc. You will need to buy some tools to split them. Trying to do this without money at all is silly unless you have some pals to help.
You need horses, cows or slaves at least
the pin head has spoken, slaves ?? really- you need to be checked off ,
They look maybe 1/4" by 1/2" or so on my phone -- which is the only scale you've given me. Should probably just be able to carry them in one hand.
Build the cabins foundation on top of the rocks using that jap technique
Go buy the longest prybar you can find. Shove the pointy end in between rocks and pull on the other end. Start on the lowest/most-downhill rocks and work uphill. You'll be amazed how much shit you can move.
>source: unstacked a hugeass pile of logs this way
Great, another fricking "tell me how to do something, only I've imposed a bunch of arbitrary rules that make doing it pretty much impossible" thread. Frick you and everyone like you.
Most of those rocks are probably in excess of 800 pounds. You're not moving them 10 kilometers by hand, with no vehicle, and with no money spent. It's simply not going to happen. If you already know this, then you've made a pointless thread just to frick with people. And if you don't already know this, then you're an imbecile that's not worth helping.
only simple minded small people would say it cant be done or just lazy MF like you , it can be done its called a hard days work which you probly never did a days work in your life , i bet i could do it better safer faster than you and cheaper because i really work for a living not sit behind a computer all day , it can be done now go fight a war you lazy bastard
>it can be done its called a hard days work
Post precisely how to move them given OPs input conditions or KYS.
a wheel barrow - a 2 wheel dolly - its called get off your lazy ass and get busy, sitting in front of a computer isnt going to get anything done ,
here is a really simple idea - try using the materials to build with instead of buying shit and wasting time and money getting ride of good stuff some would love to have ,
You will have to provide a lot of blowjobs to accomplish this without spending cash.
Why do I bother posting? OP passed out from drinking their first beer and forgot this thread exists.
>I need to move these rocks by hand
Move them by hand then. It's easy enough. The Mormons carried their shipping containers by hand across the Andes when settling Weehawken.
A stout rope and good shoes are important, but they're always important.
