Moving heavy object

I built a engine in my garage. It's about 500lbs. My garage door I broken. I set the engine down on a tire. I need to move it out the door, down a 8" concrete ledge, across 30 feet of grads before I can get it back on a rolling jig in my driveway. How do I do this? Thinking of making a wheel barrow contraption. Currently having trouble sliding it to the ledge

Fix garage door, idiot. Not hard.
      or

      or
Build a similar dolly which you should have anyway.

To traverse earth and gravel I use sections of mobile home frame, ramps or whatever is handy and move heavy items often. Get good and you win for life.

      What precisely broke on door?

My mom threw away the bearings and holders that hold the torsion spring and axle. Can I replace it with some angle and pillow block bearings?

Your typical garage door weighs about 100 pounds. If the rollers are not missing, you can just lift it up but prop it open with lengths of 2x4 and whatever you can find to hold it up. Once it's past the curve in the rail, it won't weigh as much, but it will still have a tendency to want to slide down. You can also lock it in place with vise grips. One more thing: make sure you lift it evenly because the spring prevents the door from going askew. It's a job best done by two people, really.

There are garage door places that sell generic parts. here is a random search result.
          https://diygaragedoorparts.com/

to traverse grass you can buy a couple sheets of 3/4" plywood (maybe one and cut in half, then drag along plywood and leapfrog the sheets ahead of each other.

You can make a little ramp for the ledge from wood; Ive had to do that before.

If anon can't figure out how to move an engine, messing with a torsion spring is a sure way to kill him.

Just walk down the street or around a park and spot a group of young men. Offer them a 24-pack of beer and they will be happy.
