Full size CZ P-01 series pistols are highly popular among Finnish reservists - both young and old. This based on my personal observations on from number of shooting ranges over the last few years. The most likely main reason for that is simply that the pistols perform very well in reservist shooting sports that we have, while they are still reasonably affordable. Admitted before P-01 series became available basic CZ 75 and CZ 85 were quite popular among shooters in here as well, since they now appear to be the most common sidearm-size 9mm pistols in used pistol market.

Finn reservist sports focus on accuracy and being able to do quick double taps to all sorts of ranges with non-dynamic pistol shooting mostly being done from 25 meters.

no they dont, the ergonomics maybe but the sight radius on something like a standard stock sp01 and a 75b are exactly the same. same mag and magwell too.
yeah the sp01 comes with 19 round mags but thats the same 75b 16 round mag body with a floorplate extension on it. you can shove the mag in either that shits interchangable.

Cgw or cz customs but people seem to spout off cgw more often. The trigger return spring breaks so replace that not instantly but just buy the reduced power spring from cgw and keep it on hand. Mine broke after 1k or so but that was with a ton of dry fire and half the time plain moronation with me firing it like a cap gun since it was my first handgun. The firing pin retaining pin is the biggest nothing burger ever and just tells me the people who complain about it are tards looking to shit on something for anything. It's a sacrificial part specifically a coil spring pin and yes it turns to mush especially if you don't use a snap cap. Again just buy a few more of the same type (not the solid pins) and keep it on hand to replace. You'll know it's time to replace it when you look through it and can't see the other side. You could also make your own by buying coil spring pins not regular roll pins like on an AR (coil pins overlap onto itself while a roll pin has a tiny gap where the ends don't totally meet up).
I have one. Great gun. Easy to carry 4 o'clock. Shit to carry appendix though. It has that spike in the back like a Colt commander that'll stab you in the gut no matter how skinny you are or deep you stash it.
Very accurate irons, combat sight, so dot right on the target. I have a light on mine but no red dot, so I don't know if a dot would effect reliability at all.
I've been looking at getting a cz 75 sp01 tactical lately. I'm seeing ones worth night sights, or a fiber optic front sight for $200 more. Is that really the only difference between the two? That seems like a huge price jump for a front sight

Do not dry fire them. You will break your firing pin.
