        Dismount?
You don't seem to understand, there is no dismount. When the crew has been installed the hatches are welded shut.
They're then directed to assault the nearest minefield and deplete the enemy's stocks of ATGMs.

        they just won't give up

        they ride on top

        Absolute morons.

Wouldn't that turn them into... uhm, "ablative armor", in case of a hit?

        >average /k/ IQ level

Yeah, because slapping an extra 100 lb of shit to a hatch won't make it harder to open at all.

How much do you think those ARMORED doors already weigh compared to the added slats?? The weight increase is at worst 10%.
I swear the intelligence level of this board is lower than the general populace...

            >armored doors
Those doors are thin because they're hollow, they have aux tanks inside.

cope cages are cope cages as protection against top attack missiles that nodiff them

cope cages are valid protection against fpv drones carrying PG-7

Most of that looks like actual proper slat armor that would help stop something like an RPG-7.

Though the turret cope cage is still basically a net to catch any evacuating mobiks lol

    >actual bar armor
Unironically impressive, they are finally 20 years behind.

The stuff on the sides and rear look like legitimate slat armor. Whatever they put on the turrets top looks like an unfinished greenhouse.

    Cage for mines when?

      Anonymous

I'd assume that would be completely ineffective as mines are purely explosive, not a propelled warhead that would be susceptible to being damaged.

that slat armor might actually be somewhat functional, cope cages are as moronic as usual

also, i guess we can stop pretending the BMP-2 is amphibious

Vatniks should try a rotor blade hooked to the engine to slice apart incoming drones.
