it’s OKAY but not GREAT,
Any turd worlder can make decent RIMFIRE. Just look at ARMSCOR from the Philippines.
But if you compare wither to CCI, then you will clearly see the WHITE MAN’S supremacy.

blacks and mexicans love guns.
And even in brown countries with strict gun laws, they just make guns. Look at Brazil, Thailand, and the Philippines. Brown people will hand craft shitty killing tools.

I am not a boomer but I started shooting when 44 was president. We had the same “type” of ammo shortages back then. Then, they disappeared as soon as 45 was elected. I knew it wouldn’t last forever so I stacked and stacked. Thank god I did! I can’t even imagine what it must be like to pay more than $0.15 a round
>expired ammo
This has been so thoroughly debunked.
Gun Grampa has several videos where he pulls out boxes of ammo that he stashed in his barn back in the 80s, and shoot it.
In his BARN, in Tennessee!
Can confirm this is 100% true, I bought 20k rounds of 22 back in the 80s, still have some left, but it's all expired. I mean, it's all clean, looks fine, works fine, there is literally nothing wrong with it at all, but it's well past the imaginary expiration date so that part sucks.
Nope, gotta buy 5 boxes of 100rds for $11 each. I know, it's a hassle.
Even the big box stores have no problem keeping this shit in stock right now, I haven't noticed any lack of ammo in quite awhile, at least not in 22LR and 9mm because they make up 99% of my ammo purchases.
You can definitely find it at major sporting goods stores like Big 5, Cabelas, Sportsmans Warehouse, Bass Pro,
Plenty of options a $4.99-$6.99 for a box of 50, from CCI, Norma, Aguila, and Federal.
CCI is one of the few that does 100rd boxes, I get them locally for $10-$12 depending on where I go.
I still find boxes of 500 for $45-$55, or even <$40 online, but if they're bulk boxes it's trash, like Federal Automatch. I don't think it's shit ammo, I think it goes to shit because they shove it all loose in a box or bucket, a fricking terrible way to package 22 ammo.
Better option is going with larger amounts of good ammo. Norma still has their 500rd cases, you buy two on their website, get free shipping, use code welcome5, you're at < 8.5cpr shipped to your door for 1000rds of VERY good .22LR that can actually be stored and transported without it going to shit the way a box of Remington Thunderbolts would.
My 41 doesn't like Aguila, but then again it's a picky b***h. Whatever they coat them with as lube just sticks in the chamber causing failures to extract. Everything else eats it pretty well. I also have a 10/22 and mk4 22/45 that do fine with it, the TacSol Kestrel AR pistol eventually chokes from crud after a few hundred rounds suppressed. I've bought like 2k of the suppressor subsonic 40 gr and they are dumb quiet and plenty accurate.
>10cpr for the shittiest quality ammo >mfw reminiscing about all those times I would pick up 3k rounds for like 100 dollarydoos
I want to go back so bad bros
I prefer the blues just because they're less gassy in some of my pistols, but aguila makes some solid fricking rounds. Currently got a thousand blues, few hundred subs, thousand of these, and 250 hollows just chilling in the aguila box. Separate from the range bags and box. I just like it, bros.
I prefer heavy and fast boolets for plinking. 40gr at 1250fps is pretty impressive for a .22 and independent chrono tests suggest they aren't bullshitting either like some other cheap third world (mostly Russian) brands
I fricking wish .22 short were pumped out like .22lr. That and CB caps especially, and I mean actual CB length. Unfortunately won't cycle in a semi auto, but you can make your 10/22 a straight pull with a modified mag. IIRC there's companies even selling custom .22 short mags too. Maybe you could make a light bolt and lighten the springs, who knows; seems volquartsen does just that. But a tube mag is where it really shines. 14+ rounds in a pump action is fun in a way I just can't describe.

I am starting to feel like a shill, but Federal Automatch is unironically the best 22lr ammo and it is also usually one of the cheapest. The only ammo that I think performed better and smelled more amazing than anything else was Wolf Match.
Huh, I don't think I've ever seen that in stores. Wolf should be selling steel cased .22, kek (yes, it exists/existed). Joking aside, it seems it's made in England, which I find odd. Where's that stuff coming from, anyways? Did they buy out an ammo plant or is this a rebrand?
Used to be made in Germany by Sk Lapua, made by Eley in England now, but I haven't seen any since before covid. I have never shot the Eley stuff, but the German made stuff was exceptional. I know alot of target shooters use Eley regularly.

Damn, that's a shame. Maybe it'll slowly trickle back in as time goes on; I'm sure they're not pumping out ammo quick like Federal or other major US brands, especially considering (I assume) their higher standards. Or who knows, maybe they'll change brand again. I'll have to look out for it; Wolf isn't really a brand I'd think would be selling high quality .22. I'd shoot more England made ammo (and pellets) but it's surprisingly hard to find/expensive in the US.

Yeah, I was actually just looking online...looks like a bunch of the online retailers have the Eley produced Wolf in stock now. It's fricking expensive though...like .17cents per round

Fug, that's north of Aguila. 250-500rds of Aguila (shipped IIRC) is somewhere about $0.12/rd give or take 1.5 cents or so. And Aguila I at least use for hunting (38gr hollowpoints). Might be something for me to keep an eye out for though.
I am starting to feel like a shill, but Federal Automatch is unironically the best 22lr ammo and it is also usually one of the cheapest. The only ammo that I think performed better and smelled more amazing than anything else was Wolf Match.

Yeah but can you pick up a box of 500 CCI for $50 buckaroos from your local ammo shop?
i don’t have to. I stockpiled 100k rounds of CCI minimags in 2018 while Trump was president
>frick you, got mine!
kys boomer
that’s an odd way to admit I am smarter than you.

Imagine being a leftist homosexual.
>moron who buys groceries when he gets hungry
same man, but with revolver ammos mainly
Same, have 30K of 7.62x39 i bought for 16-20 cents a round, 20k mini mags.
I want ranges to be less crowded, high ammo prices only punish the morons who don't stockpile

Yeah if i eat expired ammo i may get food poisoning, true
i’ve shot ammo that looked worse than that.

Uhhh, you must be lying. It's expired which means every round is a dud and/or going to blow up your gun!
>expired
I’ve shot .22 ammo older than I am without problems.

Why is 22 sheeted in copper so rare? it seems like it would be better on the barrel life and mechanical parts of the rifle i n general
Rare? Where I live its basically all you can find because enviornmental laws prohibit using bare lead bullets for hunting
My 41 doesn't like Aguila, but then again it's a picky b***h. Whatever they coat them with as lube just sticks in the chamber causing failures to extract. Everything else eats it pretty well. .22 is my favorite round. .22 subs for quiet clappin’, .22 supers for super slappin’.
Newguns reporting in:
Just discovered subs cycle in my 10/22.
Newguns happy.
smells like actual cancer
thats just the oil they line it with senpai
What’s your all your favorite .22 rounds? I like quiet segmented with my suppressor.
And these when I’m tryna shoot the lungs outta something.
>10cpr for the shittiest quality ammo
>mfw reminiscing about all those times I would pick up 3k rounds for like 100 dollarydoos
I want to go back so bad bros
I think my last fun purchase for a long time will be a cz 457. I can't keep feeding my picky fricking semi auto 22s.
The first time I bought Wolf X39 it was $80 for a 1000 round brick.
Do you know how that feels now?
Like can you imagine how irritating it is?
I prefer the blues just because they're less gassy in some of my pistols, but aguila makes some solid fricking rounds. Currently got a thousand blues, few hundred subs, thousand of these, and 250 hollows just chilling in the aguila box. Separate from the range bags and box. I just like it, bros.
They’re 22 mag has been reliable to me and my cmr30
i fricking love keltec
I prefer these:
They carry their energy further downrange, and are very quiet.
I prefer heavy and fast boolets for plinking. 40gr at 1250fps is pretty impressive for a .22 and independent chrono tests suggest they aren't bullshitting either like some other cheap third world (mostly Russian) brands
If you're just plinking, why not just use the cheapest shit you can find?
Because I have an autistic need to throw fast and heavy shit at aluminum cans
I have a henry .22 and my favorite round to shoot is .22 short. However, it is always more expensive than .22LR
I fricking wish .22 short were pumped out like .22lr. That and CB caps especially, and I mean actual CB length. Russia is second world by definition.
pedantic, you know what I mean
just so (you) do
i bet they run dirtier than remingtons garbage
I ran a 500 round box through my 10/20 charger and it was fine. It's not like I ran it all through a chronometer but there were no issues.
I am starting to feel like a shill, but Federal Automatch is unironically the best 22lr ammo and it is also usually one of the cheapest. The only ammo that I think performed better and smelled more amazing than anything else was Wolf Match.
>it smells amazing

Haven't shot my .22lrs since I took the PCP pill...
