Heard of him but never watched him. I didn't like youtube for a long time. I much preferred flash since it would play at larger sizes and looked good and never buffered compared to videos. It took a long time for videos to catch up to that. Now-a-days I watch mustie1 and quite a few other repair channels.
this homie taught me some english and "making" at the same time. The only thing I actually ever made from his videos was that tube that shot flash cotton.
Yo same facts, actually ended up replicating some of his electronic circuit projects, he made a radio a long time ago, used to watch his make magazine videos almost religiously when I was a kid.
Honestly he was my jam, things weren't easy for him since his cats and I think wife died.
His videos are pretty trash now, in retrospect even many of his old videos, but ngl his videos made my day when I was a kid, got beat up a lot and his vids really helped me not think about that, I used to watch eevblog too and fran, to say that these folk have saved me would be an understatement
>instructables
now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time... I remember it used to be cool basic DIY projects I loved to do as a tinkerer kid, then one day out of nowhere it was completely made up of 3D Printed, Laser Engraving, CNC machine bullshit that required $10k of equipment
I still have this saved in my bookmarks from over 10 years ago, its cool that the website didn't purge a bunch of old articles, even if they are moronic instructions like how to make ice.
this guys fricking voice man
i could have gone the rest of my life without thinking about it
frick you
he was a fricking moron into the bargain. moron level shit. half a step above that console modder guy. ben baldo or whatever
He's still alive, I know his wife died a number of years ago.
It's really sad to see these Youtube OGs fade away. The platform has changed so so much.
, and people really didn't like him going from DIY projects to as seen on TV reviews and restoration videos that were really popular around 2017. I'm betting this was further compounded by the ad-pocolypse, needing to hit the bell, and YouTube unsubscribing people from channels. TKOR death marked the end of any good DIY videos on the platform (who Kip was also friends with)
