People think the AR-15 “looks scary” and I just think it looks like a gun. Like an M4, standard issue rifle. The 5.56 is a pretty lightweight caliber, good for what it is. There are far juicier calibers than that even, when it comes to modern rifles.
You should probably learn metal fabrication. If you really wanted a polymer grip frame you could learn polymer molding, but if you already know metal fabrication you could just build a grip frame along with the slide/barrel components. The polymer parts really only save cost when done on an industrial scale.

Most people do not make 3d printed parts that bear any stress, nor do you have too. Most of the designs are printing lower receiver and combining it with legal AR and Glock kits you can get shipped to your door no hassle. You don't have to have a serial number, lasts about as long as most factory Polymers in normal use, and as a bonus, can teach you about gun smithing in general.
I'd not make a 3d printed pistol as your first gun, and just go with a glock 17 or 19 like you originally thought. But if you are serious about getting into it go here https://ctrlpew.com/the-complete-getting-started-guide/
Zoomers don't like guns because they took real guns out of video games since having real guns in them got young men into said real guns. They're the biggest brainwashing victims of all history, all that's forcefed to them is anti gun rhetoric.

This. My first gun was a 10/22 when I was fricking 6. My grandpa gave it to me with a crown royal bag full of old ammo and told me to go nuts. These reddit migrants probably didn’t get into guns until their 30s because their liberal families are all anti gun.

Let's be honest here, for lots of people on this board and gun culture in general, videogames has been a direct pipeline to gun culture.
If a Zoomer plays immersive games like Tarkov or STALKER where you actually need to know the exact caliber of bullets for your gun, they'll learn very quickly what bullet goes into which gun.
I love to shit on Zoomers, don't get me wrong, but I don't think they will be less knowledgeable.

Wonder how common that is. Also 97. Can't stand most zoomers, and even some from the generation that came before me are too zoom zoom 4 me. Grew up in such a way that I remember the internet being quite a bit different and 1337speak, YTPs, and "FADs" (see: "Rainbow Trololol" or "rainbow tylenol fad") being peak humor, at least at the time. Funny to not be able to stand shit like TikTok and other social media when it seems everyone else around my age is using it constantly. Also most of the people using the internet seem to be moronic anymore. And not in a good way. And everything is being catered to their moronation; I still despise mobile sites.
That's naff, mate. Plenty of zoomers out there are into guns and 3D printin' 'em, just gotta foster the idea through their amino pages and get the artsy zoomies in on it too. Guaranteed they'll adore pasting their thicc furry OCs onto an Amigo Grande CETME receiver.
01’ zoomer.
I built an Aero ar-10 in .308, no scope or flashlight yet just carry handle irons. Will probably save up and get an LPVO 1-8x eventually.
I have a Winchester 94’ in 30-30
I have a lil off brand scoped .22 barrel loader for plinking
In my experience most of my (California zoomer) peers have been generally anti-gun but when I explain anti-fed views and their relation the 2nd amendment; supplemented with personal anecdotes of Local City PD having quasi-gangs within the department and not having citizens best interest at heart; my peers tend to turn sympathetic to the cause and some long term peers have even eventually shown interest in keeping weapons since they interact with my hobby by proxy.
I’ve found that the key to hearts and minds is to use their own moron dialogue and identity politics on them: > I’m Mexican so I don’t trust the US government to protect me since it has a history of killing the_browns™ > your biggest gun threat may be a mass shooting but statistically mine is more likely to be death by gang member, cop, or military > are you, a white liberal upper class woman gonna tell ME how I can stand against tyranny? > an armed population is insurance against the_oppression™
I live in Canada and I was surprised to find many of my peers at college (zoomers) were really interested in guns, everyone wanted to see my firearms license because they had never seen one before. Then it turns into >you have to do this to get a license >no you can’t have that gun >no you can’t have that gun >no you can’t have that gun >no you can’t have that gun >no you can’t have that gun
And for most people I explain this to, it makes them want to buy what guns they can ASAP before they’re banned
Someone might be pushing race mixing, toxic food, affirmation of obesity, celebration of ugliness, gross fashion and general body disfigurement. Someone might be enforcing dysgenics by flipping the natural order of things on its head and elevating to the rank of new wealthy nobility the professions where the most mentally and physically crooked congregate while normal 'manly' men working ordinary honest jobs are made poor and designated as dangerous undesirables.
It's only going to get worse.

like every other field / topic zoomers are the most stratified generation yet. most don't care about guns, but the few that do tend to be very developed taste
Zoomers have done nothing wrong. After destroying the surplus market you fricks left us with pasta shooters from Ethiopia and bubbas one of a kind nugget. Cheap ARs and pocket pistols will continue to displace surplus that isn’t their fault.
I've got 2 zoomer compatriots. 1 I had to talk about what he wanted out of an AR and he basically wanted an SBR but didn't want to fill out the paperwork. His first gun was a Glock 19 and the second was a basic b***h AK. He plans on rounding out with a winchester 870 for his shotgun wants.
The second wanted a CC piece since he was moving back in with his mother in chicongo so after giving him the rundown on calibers and some fingerfricking at the LGS he went with a glock 23. I remember the first time I took him to the range and he thought the mosin was an automatic. >goes to shoot >BANG >... >Bro I think its jammed >what? >... >Bruh you have to work the bolt, I know you've seen a bolt action in a video game before
Late production 04 zoomie here, I own a FAL did own a repro PU which I sold to get the FAL, also have a Cetme and a tantal kit I’m gonna build later this summer. Also have a hopefully ~1 MOA Ar10 I have planned out for when I have more funds to play with
In my upper class white upbringing, most /k/ Zoomies like Milsurp and combloc shit. Maybe it’s counter culture since everybody’s dad owns at least 1 Ar15. That said most non /k/ but pro gun zoomers want/ have a basic b***h AR, usually from influence from their dads.
Ong no cap frfr
I want a FAL, CZ-75, and a Type 38 Arisaka because I saw one in a hentai. My favorite gun that I've actually shot is my friend's Chinese SKS. (Friend and I were born in 2000).
I'm on the earliest end of Zoomer, '97.
I like stuff that's interesting or fun. I own a Glock 19 for carry, M&P 5.7, PS90 (want to SBR), FN15, Ruger Vaquero, Mossberg 590 Shockwave, and a Ruger 10/22 (soon to be a gift for my little brother, who I'm teaching to shoot).
I love all firearms but I love small/micro pistols most of all, especially metal rimfire ones like the 21a or the ppk. I think anything tiny and intricate is just cool. I am obsessed with midcentury guns. certified zoomer bc i cannot physically remember 9/11
My wife's a zoomer and, though she's not particularly into guns, she tends to like older-styled, objectively aesthetic guns like my Benelli Montefeltro Silver, Beretta 92FS, Walther PPK.
Her little sister's taste runs more towards AUGs and PX4s. When we bought her first gun together she opted for an RDBC over anything else in the store.
99er here, I like them all from the super futuristic tacticool VHS-2 to the absurdly engineered Hakim to the excellently crafted Smith and Wesson Model 65 and even the absurdly small and crap Saturday Night Specials. The only guns I don't have an incredible fondness for are Mausers, had several but they've never clicked with me in the way Lee-Enfields do. Granted I never talk to my cohort so I have no clue what the rest of my generation is into
'98, solidly Zillenial territory, I'd take the Lee-Enfield MkIII any day of the week. That's real pedigree right there, don't give me any of that ARshit.
>What kind of guns zoomers like
I'm a zoomer
my dad got me a Haenel HLR 338 for finishing my Bachelors degree last year
my absolute all time favorite
i rarely get to shoot something else these days
not much time during the week and on weekends I rather drive to the big range outdoors than the small local one in a basement
long range just has something meditating
i also have a (used) Taurus 92, a historic Muzzleloader from a local blacksmith who lived in my hometown like 150y ago and an also used Beretta 686
my shooting club has quite a collection i can rent though
always for a year and no one else uses it, you get a save etc.
way easier and cheaper than buying, especially here in Germany

The AR-15 is evidentially the Zoomer’s weapon of choice.

It's going to be ARs and Glocks with tons of unnecessary holes and shit hanging off of them.

Yeah I know the barrel and the grip have to be metal but it seems a way to get weapons for much cheaper
But if all else fails I can just drive down to the gun store and get a Glock 17

I've got 2 zoomer compatriots. 1 I had to talk about what he wanted out of an AR and he basically wanted an SBR but didn't want to fill out the paperwork. His first gun was a Glock 19 and the second was a basic b***h AK. He plans on rounding out with a winchester 870 for his shotgun wants.
The second wanted a CC piece since he was moving back in with his mother in chicongo so after giving him the rundown on calibers and some fingerfricking at the LGS he went with a glock 23. I remember the first time I took him to the range and he thought the mosin was an automatic.
>goes to shoot
>BANG
>...
>Bro I think its jammed
>what?
>...
>Bruh you have to work the bolt, I know you've seen a bolt action in a video game before
We like ARs, some of us like AKs until we get them and realize they are ass. Shit ton of zoomers have P320s as well. What’s a mosin?
A mosin was my first rifle I ever got several years ago
Hi-point carbine. Zoomers think it’s a sniper rifle.
because its a sniper rilfe jackass
zoomer here the only gun I own is a Springfield M190A3
Late production 04 zoomie here, I own a FAL did own a repro PU which I sold to get the FAL, also have a Cetme and a tantal kit I’m gonna build later this summer.
I want to read this manga.
It's a hentai: "School of the Seven Sisters"
Or, if you're on the high seas, "Nanaka's Paradise".
05 zoomer.
I have an ap5, polymer 80 Glock 43, and a brn180 (meme gun I know).
to be fair BRN180 is one of the most based meme guns
t. fellow 05 zoomer
My wife's a zoomer and, though she's not particularly into guns, she tends to like older-styled, objectively aesthetic guns like my Benelli Montefeltro Silver, Beretta 92FS, Walther PPK.
Her little sister's taste runs more towards AUGs and PX4s. When we bought her first gun together she opted for an RDBC over anything else in the store.
cz shadow 2
also...i like it....I said it! I do! Ialso find it hot!
Granted I never talk to my cohort so I have no clue what the rest of my generation is into
Ah I forgot a pic like a moron
I take it that squirrel is a pet of yours?
Indeed, he's a cute little rat
That's nuts
>Meanwhile on Zoomer /k/
this is already zoomer /k/
zoomers belong on a cross
What ever new toy guntubers shill that week
'98, solidly Zillenial territory, I'd take the Lee-Enfield MkIII any day of the week. That's real pedigree right there, don't give me any of that ARshit.
I forget is 2001 fully zoomer or is it still weird?
Born in '96. I have an affinity for Smith and Wesson revolvers.
Who cares? They're stupid.
