Germany is the biggest supporter of Ukraine and one of the most resistant countries regarding russian propaganda even if it doesnt look that way on the surface.
Look at all those "thin skinned" spams they are over reddit as well when the Marder is better armoured than every other IFV in this war, if it comes to autocannon fire. The bradley probably has better heat protection and theoretically better shrapnell protection due to the Aluminium construction.
The only thing the Marder is shit at is dueling because the sensors are shit compared to modern alternatives and it cant shoot accuratly on the move so it cant really duel all to well. The 20mm cannon has the same fire rate as the mg3
it is .One 20mm grenade isnt much, but 16 per second are. There is a reason why it is still used and cost saving isnt all of it. In the videos where the Marders are hit you can see that basically nothing happens the head warhead hits the vehicle and suddenly everybody dismounts in the span of 20 seconds. Sure one may be wounded or dead but compared to the fire ball that is soviet or russian equipment you cant really complain.

Who is using translation services that would also be able to give you proper feedback? Why would someone be able to read the original text then also decide to read it in English?
It would be useful if you were learning but those are not people you want feedback from.
Friends with a panzer gendier LT.
They are loved and the puma is hated. There is a reason they keep them still running.
It's no relic it's a good work horse
It carries a squad of grenadiers to where they need to be, under moderate armor protection and full ABC protection, after which it supports them with a 20mm chaingun (and sometimes a bolt-on ATGM).
It fully fulfills its doctrinal role as IFV in a conventional conflict.
Makes sense when you to have send your own meat in golf cars.chuggies we're gloating about a captured swedepard until it was found out that they didn't capture it(thread got pruned after ziggers lost 2 recovery vehicles in a webm of the capture attempt.
The Marder is okay for what it is but it's not great compared to other common IFV's. The autocannon is undersized and the ATGM's that the Ukrainian variant has is pretty bad. Just about any modern IFV is better but they are mostly okay enough for Ukraine. At the very least they are better than a BMP.
Also, it's a functional IFV. It apparently doesn't kill everyone inside immediately upon taking a hit, which we could take as an indicator that it is better then the BMP.
The gun isn't exactly great, but it's still a 20mm autocannon and has a coax MG3. It makes people keep their heads down.
German equipment is almost as bad as Russian
Where does the butthurt about Germany by newnogs come from?

>The 20mm cannon has the same fire rate as the mg3
>880–1030 rpm
That's a frickload of 20mm flying towards whatever is standing in its way.
The Bushmaster in the Bradley has 200 - 500 rpm.

16 20mms per second is like 4 30mms per second which isn’t bad but also isn’t that great

It's better than the Warrior but that's a pretty low bar.

Great post fart sniffer
Oh you !

Isn't the ATGM there just to be detached and used by the dismounted infantry? Can it actually be fired from the crew?
Both, it can be fired by the commander, but can also be dismounted if you need it somewhere the vehicle cant go.
Sort of. The commander has to stick his upper body out the turret to do it.
More kraut trophies to fill russian museums.
For regular soldier - better than any soviet shit.
Imagine parading around a 35 year old thin skinned IFV like its some major victory lol.

>35 year old thin skinned IFV
first Marder was delivered in 1971 lol
He's kinda correct. Upgrading the fleet to 1A3 standard was started in 1989.
and first T-72 in 1968, that doesn't make T-72B3 a 50 year old tank
>older than a BMP-2
Holy shit!
Are we talking about Marders or BMPs?
I don't remember the Ukrainians ever making a big deal out of capturing another dozen BMPs.
when did anyone parade captured BMP's around the place?
>German 35 year old thin skinned IFV
i thought Russians were the outdated. lol
>35 years vs 80 years

"We captured a NATO's BMP-2"
Impressive, superb
Proofs NATO is no match for us
Good back in the time. Still better than anything russoids have this today.
better than golf carts, that's for sure
>How good was this relic of war?
Not good. Thing skinned, anemic gun, VERY cramped for the dismounts.
>Julian Röpcke
how does this guy have a german name but can't spell the word "marder"
some Germans are illiterate and don't write their rs all the time.
do you have a non zigger source?
>jihad julian
Welp.
Also, it's a functional IFV. It apparently doesn't kill everyone inside immediately upon taking a hit, which we could take as an indicator that it is better then the BMP.

Does the job.
>Jihadi Julian at it again
Also the Marder is FuN*. Just don't expect it to compare to a modern IFVs.
