The Russians at least have "semi-balistic" hypersonic weapons. Iran's missile is literally WW2 tech in comparison (and probably a copy of the missiles Russia used to barter for fuel, ammunition, drones and electronics).
Isn't this just any ballistic missile that leaves the atmosphere?
Am I supposed to be impressed they managed what every nation with MRBM or better has done since the 1960s?
Remember when Iran claimed to have cured AIDS using herbal nanotechnology? Or when they photoshopped their missile tests? Or when all their smart people left in 1979 creating a literal idiocracy?
This is not newsworthy because it's fake garbage propaganda, like every other "achievement" Iran has ever announced.
>US politics forces USAF to make missiles >USAF makes missiles >USAF drops hypersonic missle program >says it's moronic >in a few months out performed china's mythical missiles program
Why even try making missles go at speedy speeds at this point?
>>USAF drops hypersonic missle program
we have like 10 hypersonic programs lol
also stupid boost-glide vehicles like that aren't hard, we did those back in the 60s
what's hard is making a hypersonic cruise that is air breathing, but it's also the best type of hypersonic, which we have successfully flown and will soon be fielding
I just don’t believe the veracity of these recent hypersonic developments from countries that haven’t sunk a monumental amount of research into hypersonic aerodynamic R&D. That is a particularly tricky environment not only from a control perspective, but also propulsion, materials, and guidance. The only country with the local infrastructure and capital to conduct this kind of R&D is China, and they have a notorious lack of aerospace innovation considering nearly everything they have designed has Russian or pirated western roots.
Russia was helping several ballistic foreign missile programs as on 2016. Tech and materials transfer. Ironically Ukraine was helping Russia build one of it's Ballistic missiles around the same time.
The kill chain requirements and launch signature of glide weapon RVs really makes them a propaganda tool.
>we did
i like how some mutt mongrel monkey thinks he's related in any way shape or form to the people who did this 60 years ago
wait til they hear that you can manufacture handheld devices that launch projectiles at over Mach 3 speeds, and even civilians in the US have access to such devices
Good thing the US has patriots. Patriots are the only air defense system with multiple confirmed hypersonic shootdowns in combat
Hmmm plasma ..
Turning ??

Gigasonic missile soon?

The USAF is now focusing on cruise missiles instead. That can be launched from air or at sea.

my great grandpa came from Germany, they spoke German in my dad's house, seethe lol
okay Paco
>not air breathing
yawn.
a huge booster with a tiny warhead isn't interesting
Does it use blockchain and AI too?
>look at our hypersonic ballistic missile!
When is the last time a country developed a non-hypersonic balistic missile?

Race obsessed.
Judging by the graphic that's just a ballistic missile.
I like how the graphic depicts a simple ballistic missile. +1 for truth in advertising.
