it’s 23 year old technology with nothing that is top secret. it’s just a well constructed howitzer with GPS guided munitions.

the fact that you russian shills think it’s some kind of wunderwaffe is pathetic beyond belief

        Anonymous

And besides Puccya has the know-how for most of western technologies anyway. It's just isnt willing to mass produce and have to rely on highly educated soldiers when they have OVER 9K T-72 in storage. AND NUKES. They secretly hate anything clever and make up reasons not to advance and shun scientists.

So whenever they capture something it's more of propoganda value than intel.

          >They secretly hate anything clever
Not even secretly, the whole shtick of Siloviki is to bully intelligentsia even if it means getting btfo by foreign intelligentsia and the Silovik solution has always been to throw non-Siloviks (especially intelligentsia) at them. The moment they stop is the moment intelligentsia creates a country where a silovik is obsolete. The russian state is unironically run by middle school bullies that need to wedgie everyone including each other 24/7 to survive. And this train of "thought" goes back centuries and shaped Russia right from its historical beginning.

The Soviets (and Russian) built their identity around their victory over Nazism/fascism. They can't stop bringing it up, and they can justfify pretty much anything by mentioning it, as if they single handedly vainquished Evil and saved everyone.

I mean ofcourse they did the first indicates they started WW2 in Europe and the later indicates their victory depending on the west supplying things like trucks, tanks, fuel, boots, food, ammo, trains, factories, planes, etc. I'm not sure how they would have done shambling on barefoot with no ammo and even less food.

It's the truck in the background of the other photo.
I was just showing it from a different angle

Can actually see there are charge containers and 155mm shells visible in that photo though. Good example of how insensitive modern NATO ammunition is to fires and explosions, and simply burns rather than having massive catastrophic explosions like you see when Russian ammo dumps are hit.
There wouldn't be much left of that howitzer or truck cab if 155mm cooked off like Russian 152mm

There is such a thing as fairness and honor even in war. If Russia doesn’t have these sorts of precision munitions, Ukraine shouldn’t be allowed them either

  15. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

The Russian equivalent to the 777 is the old D-20. The main design feature of the 777 is its low weight while maintaining high stability and accuracy. You can sling it under many helicopters. It's weighs approximately 1.5 tons less than the D-20 while being more accurate.

But what REALLY pushes it ahead of the pack in accuracy are the GPS and fire-control CPU add-ons. With good targeting data it can achieve accuracy close to that of a PGM. However, it's unlikely that Ukrainians will use this upgraded gun to do high-accuracy shelling because it'll end up eating a counter-battery sooner or later. Damaged 777s are constantly coming in and out of a US repair depot outside of the country. I think they're going to use it for Copperhead or Excalibur. I have no idea which we're sending though.

      Anonymous

excalibur procurement is under 1000 rounds a year, copperhead's out of production and ukraine has their own laser-guided artillery shells. if they're sending 777a2s, it's gonna be PGK.
